The First Store System

Chapter 1108: Close for the Day!

Tantar had an exhausted face as he pressed the switch for the thirteenth time. It was his last summoning since the next one would cost him hundred supreme Sacred stones.

The square light began to rotate at an unprecedented speed, and five seconds later, the rotation stopped and a beast appeared on the screen.

Tantar had lost all its hope, but like a phoenix, it rose from ashes when he saw the beast on the screen. It was none other than the Despair Sparrow.

There was a slight difference between the beast on the screen and the one his father had, but Tantar was confident that it was a Despair Sparrow.

Not long after, the card formed and flew into his hands. At that moment, Tantar finally knew why there was a slight difference between the two beasts.

The characteristic was exclusive to the royal side of the Despair Sparrow, and hence the beast on the card had a crown on its head made of dark feathers.

The Despair Sparrow was a small bird with pitch-black feathers that seemed to devour light around it. Its beady eyes were a bright red color, which contrasted sharply with its feathers. Just by looking at it, others would feel sad.

The Despair Sparrow descended from the Dark Sparrow, and it was the result of a mutation in a female Dark Sparrow.

Several billion years ago, a Sacred Emperor level Dark Sparrow was pregnant with her child. At that time, the Dark Sparrows were at war with another Sparrow group, the Light Sparrow.

During that war, the husband of the Dark Sparrow died fighting against the Light Sparrow. It caused such despair to the female Dark Sparrow that she went mad.

It wasnʼt long before she died, but before that, she gave birth to her child. It looked the same as other Dark Sparrows, but its bright red eyes were different, referring to the madness of its mother.

”> When the child was born, whoever looked at it felt despair and helplessness. And thatʼs why the child became a new mutant race, termed the Despair Sparrow.

The [Aura of Despair] was a characteristic that only the direct descendants of the first Despair Sparrow had, so it became a sign of royalty, and only those sparrows had the crown.

”Store owner, please initiate the taming battle,” Tantar requested Aakesh.

Aakesh took the card, casually glanced at the beast, and then tapped twice on the storefront pattern at the back of the card.

Sigh!

Tantar heaved a disappointed sigh as he failed to defeat the Despair Sparrow or make it acknowledge him.

The next moment, the card in his hands slowly faded into disappearance while Aakesh stated the amount of money he needed to pay.

He paid an additional sum since there was also a cost for the failed taming battle.

Tantar thanked the store owner and then left the store. He didnʼt even ask about Panagea since his mindset wasnʼt correct.

Time flew by, and hours passed in the blink of an eye.

When there was around an hour left before the sunset, a door appeared mid-air in the hall, waking up Autumn and Katrina.

Autumn grew excited as Lily stood beyond the door. She stood up from her chair and waited for Lily to step out.

Click!

With a clicking sound, the door opened, and Lily stepped out of the room.

When Lily saw Autumn, she didnʼt recognize her due to the disguise. But soon after, a smile spread across her face as she sensed the familiar bloodline sensation from her, and seeing Katrina on the next chair made her sure of her answer. Autumn had played a large role in her meeting Aakesh on the Conspiracy Continent, so she was grateful to her.

Her relationship with Katrina wasnʼt that great, but since she had also trained her, she didnʼt hate her.

”Ancestor!” Autumn bowed down after Lily stepped down the stairs.

Lily didnʼt decrease her body size as she didnʼt want to act like a child in front of someone who called her ancestor. She then patted Autumnʼs shoulder, accepting her greeting.

”Look at how she is trying to act like an adult,” Katrina suddenly commented, making Aakesh smile.

Hmph!

Lily scoffed in response to Katrina and then asked the system for her chair in her mind.

Autumn and Lily then began to converse; Autumn was the one who mostly spoke, sharing her experiences.

Time flew by, and the sunset arrived, bringing a cover of darkness above Thorr and nearby cities.

With it, the time for the store to close also arrived.

Aakesh went to the rooms and told the customers to leave and come tomorrow to continue their purchases. Those inside Panagea were forced out by the system after their stay hours were complete. After they exited the room and the store, only Aakesh, Lily, Autumn, and Katrina were left inside the store.
