The Devil Does Not Need to Be Defeated

Chapter 189: “Actually Quite Dangerous To Me?”

”Bang!”

The clear sound of an impact rang out within the princessʼs room, and a pained yell echoed out following it.

”It hurts!”

Lucy cradled her head, kneeling on the ground. Her eyes were teary. It was obvious that she got flicked on the forehead with quite a bit of strength.

And the perpetrator behind that strike to the princessʼs head was Shien, who, right after entering and meeting the princess happily running toward him in a welcome, gave her a harsh flick to the forehead without even a word.

”Whyʼd you do that?” Lucy tearily complained.

Shien just let out a cold snort.

”I should be the one asking you that, alright?” Rather than apologizing, Shien continued, ”What were you thinking? Why did you have someone call me over?”

”Am I not allowed to call you over?” Lucy grumbled like she was the one being wronged, ”Here I heard that youʼd be forced to wait a long time here until your audience, so I decided to call you over rather than making to wait like that. Youʼre so ungrateful!”

”Iʼm ungrateful? Youʼre the brainless one here!” Shien didnʼt mind Lucyʼs feelings at all and just continued to attack, ”You knew full well that if you call me out on my own in front of everyone else, thatʼ the same as drawing hate toward me. Yet you still did that anyways. If thatʼs not brainless, what is?”

”Whatʼs wrong with that?” Lucy turned dissatisfied and countered his question with her own, ”Are you afraid or something?”

”Afraid?” Shien got so mad that he started laughing, ”Iʼm afraid that Iʼm going to end up screwed over without anyone even knowing!”

With that, Shien even raised his hands in preparation for letting Lucy have it again.

Lucy got scared. She hurried jumped away agilely and instantly put over 5 meters between her and Shien.

”Iʼm warning you. Donʼt hit me again. Attacking a princess is a heavy crime you know!”

Lucy showed a serious expression.

”Is that so?” Shien also turned serious, ”Then whatʼs the crime for sexually harassing a princess?”

As he said that, Shien reached out toward Lucy with his hands again like he was about to pounce on her. Also included were motions like he was grabbing and rubbing at certain somethings. His hands keep moving in very indecent ways.

”W-what are you doing? Iʼm warning you not to do anything rash here!” Lucyʼs eyes went wide and she kept unconsciously backing away while grinding her teeth together, ”Put down those hands of yours! Those movements are just too indecent!”

”Hoho.” Shien just let out a very indecent laugh before continuing to slowly close the distance toward Lucy.

Lucy immediately continued to back off in tandem. She made vicious faces like she was trying to scare Shien off, but she also shook like she was scared. It was like she was about to be the victim of some unmentionable crime.

At that moment, a knock rang out on the door.

”Your highness. Thereʼs a message from the palace.”

A female knight spoke through the door.

In that instant, both of the people in the room completely changed.

”What did they say?”

Lucyʼs helpless bunny like state instantly vanished. She instead turned stern and calm. Her beautiful voice also carried with it a sense of dignity.

”Hn. This teaʼs not bad.”

Shien on the other hand had already sat down at some point with a completely empty tea cup. He sipped at the empty air and appraised it like some old tea master, calm as can be.

The knight didnʼt notice anything abnormal.

”They said that when the audience is to begin, your highness should take Mr. Shien and head directly to the throne room.” The female knight said.

”Alright. I got it. Youʼre dismissed.”

Lucyʼs tone of voice was notably calm.

”Yes.”

The female knight thus left.

After confirming that there was no more activity beyond the door, the artificial peace and calm on Shien and Lucyʼs faces finally collapsed.

”Thank goodness she didnʼt just come in. Otherwise, if anyone saw that scene just now, my reputation would have been ruined for life.”

Shien pounded at his chest in relief.

”Your reputation is ruined? Itʼs my purity that was really almost ruined!” Lucy spoke angrily, ”Beside, my knights wonʼt come in on their own without my permission, so your worries are unfounded.”

”Then whyʼd you act so seriously like I did?” Shien rolled his eyes, ”As expected of the one who has been playing the perfect princess for all those years. Are you a star actress after all?”

”Whatʼs a star actress? Please donʼt keep randomly use otherworldly words that I donʼt understand, alright?” Lucy spoke resignedly, ”Also, even if youʼre acting, donʼt go doing that kind of thing anymore. I seriously thought you really were going to pounce on me.”

Shienʼs hand froze. He raised his gaze and looked toward Lucy without disguising the emotions running behind his eyes at all.

Seeing that, Lucy stopped for a moment before the corner of her eyes twitched.

She thought of a possibility.

”… It canʼt be that you seriously was planning to pounce on me just now?”

Lucy asked, stuttering and uncertain.

”What do you think?”

Shien gave Lucy a clear and bright smile before giving her another glance, letting her realize it for herself.

Lucy realized.

Just now, Shien was definitely seriously planning to pounce on her.

If that happened, then given how that guy is, then just what will those indecent hands do to her? Lucy practically shuddered just imagining it.

”It canʼt be that being in the same room as you is actually quite dangerous for me?”

Lucy had that realization.

”Hoho.”

Shien once again let out an indecent laugh filled with evil intentions toward Lucy.

Lucy fell silent.

After a moment, Lucy not only did not pull away from Shien, but she instead came on over and sat down in front of him.

In fact, she was even closer than she had been before.

Shien was flabbergasted.

It was Lucy on the other hand who started laughing.

”You think that by acting that way, you can scare me off from daring to be alone with you or call you to my room anymore, right?” Lucy looked down on him, ”That was your goal all along, right? I wonʼt let you have your way!”

Shien had no words to reply with. He just let out a tsk afterward.

His plan had failed.

”Why you…”

Seeing Shienʼs reaction, Lucy knew that she had guessed correctly. She instantly felt a wave of exhaustion pass over her.

That guyʼs asking for a beating just like always.

Did he already forget that sheʼd been working herself to exhaustion, to the point where she practically had no time to rest?

And did he know just how much effort she had to put in just to free up enough time just so she could chat with him?

Sheʼs been working so hard here, and yet this guys keeps acting like heʼs super unwilling to keep her company. It makes one want to bite him to death.

But why is it that whenever sheʼs in the middle of her boring work, sheʼd keep getting the urge to call him over to keep her company?

She doesnʼt get it at all.

Shien, who had no idea all the complicated feelings going through Lucy at the moment, even mercilessly continued talking.

”And what if I really did want to take advantage of you? Youʼre not scared at all of that what if?”

Shien spoke like he was making his final struggles. It seriously pissed Lucy off.

”I said it before already. Go ahead and try if you can. If you actually do have that ability, then do as you like!”

Lucy spoke out angrily.

Does he really think this princess is easy to bully?

Want to fight?

This particular princess has never lost before!
