The Conquerors Path

Chapter 931: Chapter 929-So, Shits Happened

Once both my mom and I had freshened up, we headed towards having some breakfast, a very happy smile on my mother’s face as we headed for our food, her step light, and she no doubt being fully satisfied, which made me smirk. Reaching the dining room, the food was all ready as my mom and I took our seats, my sisters still being in their sleep, definitely tired.

’The woman of war has fully awakened, this is good for me.’

I mused with that thought, my mother was a woman who led wars, a general of war, and someone like that has to be tough and also be capable of fooling their own allies to fool the enemy, basically making them one capable of making those harsh choices which will lead to death, and to be able to live with those choices too.

’Basically hardcore bitches that won’t break.’

My mother had mellowed out during her family time and had rested, though that part of her had exploded out when my father had died, a side of hers that had scarred her children, after which she stopped fighting pretty much, focusing on securing the safety of her family, dwindling from the powers she once held with respect and fear.

And I wanted that gone, I wanted to bring about the true monster that even my father had respected and fallen in love with, because that woman was hardcore, she knew what had to be done, and she was not one to be messed with, and I wanted that woman to be the one to lead the faction of my family.

’A combination of my mom and aunt will be the best.’

I mused at that thought, normally my mom, the softened one, would have focused on spreading the whole truth and that full package of not lying to your family but this one, the one that is no longer hidden away knows the truth, and if she wants her plans to work, then she needs to even fool her own daughters to get the results she wants.

’The best acting is the true acting.’

I laughed internally at that as the food kept being served around me, my eyes looking at my mother, the one now looking more confident, more powerful and more importantly, free.

That is what mattered, the whole pressure I had put on her had finally broken my mom out of the shell she was hiding in and what was really important for that was the fact that I had accepted her for who she is, the warrior in her is something I accepted, that was the true her, and that finally broke through the mental blocks she had, bringing out the real her.

’And it came with some sex perks too.’

No longer is she that much shy or shit, Grace now knows what she wants and she isn’t shy to take it too, being more proactive and hot whenever she is with me, and as a mother she also knows how to handle my sisters, and giving them the correct time and attention they need, which means a new growth towards me having more time on my side.

Though I will still need to keep an eye on them to lead them to the true ending I want, for which I will have to be even more careful, this new mom of mine isn’t the same old one that easily folds to anything, she will be in all respect a tough nut to deal with, and I will have to be extra careful when I try to manipulate her into what I want, especially now since Mira and my mom have joined hands together.

A smile tugging at my face as I started to savour all the tasty food in front of me, my mom was too happy as she ate, a happy, relaxed atmosphere all around, to which suddenly my mom asked the question she had been holding off for some time.

”So you’re getting back in the game to teach those arrogant ones a lesson?”

Her eyes were still being focused on her food, the fork moving to feed her after she said this, her words pausing me for a moment, after which I focused on my food and replied.

”Aren’t you supposed to be the neutral teacher?”

To which I got the quick jab.

”Right now, I am the fully preferential mother.”

I chuckled a bit at that reply as I spoke.

”The same as always, kick their asses till they cry for their mommy.”

The answer made my mother smile, one more of pride and predatory instincts as she replied.

”That’s my son.”

After that, it was just a light talk among us, after which I headed out of the manor. Right now, there are bigger things at play here, the bigger things being more of the situation around the academy and the main shit being Girika and those newly risen ones.

’The biggest betrayal of the century has been given.’

I mused, Isabella had done it, the hate for her now is definitely in the highest ones here right now, the information she gave away and the right moment she changed, leaving a scar on the ’old’ ones of us, students are pissed, and in a sense of the way the ’old’ side is actually losing.

The real students that were just watching all this time took action, factions hidden away attacked, and several of the factions within the academy took a big hit, and I mean big, especially when information was leaked, distrust grew, and alliances fell fast that there was nothing that could have been done.

’And, boy oh boy, I had to deal with so many calls.’

When the powerful revealed themselves, I was actually missing. This was noticed by everyone, and several questions rose from that: was I hiding? Was I afraid? Did I join the other side? So many rumours, good and bad spreading both, and I won’t lie that it also affected the trust of my faction members too, though not the top echelon, they stayed robust.

’Every faction kept losing but mine.’

With light steps and my disguise active, it didn’t take me even a moment to skip the whole surveillance that was set on me. Soon, using the teleportation centres to move around, by now the rumours had already spread that I had returned, and the whole atmosphere had now grown heavy. Students are now more curious than ever.

’Everyone kept talking and yapping, till their asses were kicked.’

And soon I was in front of the gates of my faction, my disguise falling easily as I walked through the gates, my aura soon falling away from attention as I walked, my presence on full display, everyone focused on me as I walked, a pin drop like silence falling on my walks as I soon entered into the more secure area and soon it didn’t take me long to reach the meeting room, the doors opened for me as I walked in, my eyes meeting all of my members as I smiled.

”Well, let’s get to it, shall we?”

I spoke, the room chilling out at my words...

...

’The whole collection is here, it seems.’

My eyes travelling through the ones gathered in the room, many of them looking worse for wear, Alex, Jacob, Mark, Amon, Mika, Rika, Clara, Rina, Sana, Emma, Zora, Nihil, Elysia, Tron, Sonia, Nyla, Nathalia and Lanora, all of them gathered together and sitting around me, looking at me as I took the center seat, the head of the table.

”Wow, you guys all look shit.”

My words definitely pissing off some of them, the fun part being the different reactions I am getting all around, me meeting Elysia now after that unfortunate incident in the room, where she cradled me, even now I could feel the shyness from it as she flinched when she met my eyes, Zora now having opened herself to a lot looking at me with blushed cheeks.

Nathalia who definitely has heard about all the things that happened, looking at me with shyness, uncertainty and perhaps even sadness in her gaze as she looked at me, Lanora, burning with fiery desire to play music at my level, itching for that chance again, while Nyla already conquered by me, hid her intense respect for me as she hid herself away with her normal behaviour, well at least she is trying to keep it normal in her own way.

Sonia looked more open and confident than in the past, enough so that not many could even identify her as that past version she was, her eyes filled with love and devotion, but still hidden away as she gazed at me, a small wink here and there followed it by Clara too who gave the same, the duos all looking the same as before.

Alex was still tired, having that pissed off smirk, Mark looking quiet and brooding, Jack having a big smile, Nihil looking tense and powered, Tron seemingly drowning towards the darkness as he sat at the table, Amon also seemingly following that darkness too as he sat with a burning gaze.

Rina having a predatory smile, Sana cutely sitting away, Emma watching everything with a gentle smile, Mika and Rika giving me their gentle looks, the promise with them still on play.
