Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1044: Chapter 838: Departure! Mil Forest

“Why doesn’t she plant the other side as well?” Celene was a bit puzzled. She thought Vila would be staying in the Alamir Mountain Range for a long time.

“Even nature doesn’t demand trees to be planted on the rocky side.” Hill said helplessly.

The Undead Tribe’s life is far removed from nature, so it’s normal for them to be confused. But for Celene, a deity who has watched the earth for hundreds of thousands of years, to ask such a question… When Vila initially agreed for the Undead Tribe to build the Great Wall at the top of the Alamir Mountain, it was because beyond that point, there was hardly any possibility for planting.

She came to reestablish the natural cycle and certainly wouldn’t disrupt the inherent water and soil environment of Kalinsan.

Hill noticed from the start that Vila scattered many grass seeds near the Great Wall… and quite a few were planted on the Wall as well.

As long as these grasses bear seeds again, the natural elements like wind, water, and small animals would carry them along their future path.

Vila herself would only choose to replant plants on fertile soil that can be restored… those places that in normal times should be bursting with red flowers and green willows.

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ didn’t fret much, with his habit of making multiple plans. Even if Vila’s choice surprised him a bit, it would just mean altering the event notifications he was planning to distribute.

‘Young Master’ had already retreated from the Oak Forest… speaking of which, Hill thought this guy was just capricious and didn’t want to handle matters, but he wasn’t blind to the dynamics… Otherwise, why did he stay silent during the final major battle?

He didn’t even evaluate ‘Lu Huayu’… He’s surely aware, no matter how much he belittles the cursed Road Eunuch, he can’t sidestep why this cunning and ruthless East Factory Chief Eunuch arranged the battle strategy in that manner.

‘Young Master’ is, after all, a Knight Commander who has led troops into the charge! It’s impossible for him not to understand why the Alliance’s three families had such a broken defensive formation then.

Whether it’s from that innate intuition or because he truly understood what happened… ‘Young Master’ indeed remained silent… At least those not too sensitive to these matters still know nothing.

By doing this, he left the alliance behind him some leeway, at least not exposing those differences publicly… Otherwise ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ would probably have a headache too.

For the Undead Tribe, fighting is the daily of the PVP family—a quick glance suffices, who cares who wins or loses… but internal division is worth noting because it can be amusing.

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ beckoned Young Master over, seemingly wanting him to finalize a departure time with Vila… No other choice, no matter how capable he is, the Little Fairy Queen just doesn’t like communicating with him, thinking he’s full of bad ideas… Though Snow Old Dog felt aggrieved, he couldn’t deny that he had many schemes.

However, ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ had a very good attitude towards ‘Young Master’ this time, even though he was asking him to reach out to Vila, his tone was exceptionally amiable, almost like earnest advice… He could have done it before, but there was no need to help ‘Young Master’ bear his parent’s burdens, right?

Entrusted with an important task, ‘Young Master’ quickly coordinated the departure time with Vila… Vila originally thought the Undead Tribe would at least need ten days to half a month to prepare, but unexpectedly found they were more anxious than her… departing at the next sunrise, which is early tomorrow.

So the Undead Tribe quickly cheered… Watching others compete is fun, but being able to fight and play themselves is what they desire most for their game life.

The Undead Tribe quickly began to clear the entire camp, possibly because the Kalinsanians made them uncomfortable, so the Undead Tribe unusually chose to dig three feet deep, destroying the entire camp’s magic array.

Having completed their task, the Undead Tribe slowly climbed the Alamir Mountain in groups before dusk arrived.

After all, the flowers, plants, and trees have grown, and the Undead Tribe only has a few small paths to walk… Besides, the Knights would surely set out first, needing to climb to the Great Wall to prepare for the pre-dawn path clearing.

Although it’s only been a little over two months, the divine beasts from the opposite side have gotten used to the Great Wall and the occasional elf heads popping up from it… mainly because the most aggressive ones have lost their lives below the Wall, and those with a bit of reason basically won’t choose to provoke opponents they cannot defeat.

Lesser Divine Beasts of insufficient level kept their distance even more… but they were rather unlucky, for out of the three directions east, south, and north, they ended up being in the north where the Mil Forest is located.

Of course, perhaps the Greater Divine Beasts didn’t want to bother with those towering trees, so they simply let these short ones guard that direction to prevent slaves from fleeing into the forest… They still remembered why the Elves had come all the way to defeat them… for turning the Karin Great Plains into the Karin Desert.

Although they are not afraid of the Elves… it’s more important to deal with the opponents in front first!

The divine beasts always believed that the reason they failed last time was because those shameless Elves launched a surprise attack when their king was in a state of mutual destruction.

Now they’ve chosen to retreat… they didn’t even directly set that big forest ablaze, so the Elves shouldn’t bother them anymore.

This is the same reason they’ve tolerated the Great Wall in the Alamir Mountain Range… as long as it doesn’t affect the war between the Fire God Beast and the Air God Creature, some trivial matters, the divine beasts decided to put up with it… which is very rare for the Elemental Giants to do.

After all, although they are huge in size, their temper is like angry birds… they explode at a touch.

Probably because of the thousands of years of sealing. Although it didn’t leave a deep impression on their tiny brains, it still left some mark on their intuitive nerves.

The Undead Tribe perched on The Great Wall keenly discovered those little divine beasts that left a very deep impression on them… Their excitement level immediately soared: “Look quickly at those by the Mil Forest!”

“What about the big market? Is it closed?”

“No! There’s still more than a month! Hurry up, hurry up, place your bets~ place your bets!”

“The first to kill will definitely be me!”

“Idiot~ boasting for no reason, Defender Knight!”

“What’s wrong with Defender Knight?”

The knights quickly engaged in a war of words… The Mage and other combat professions standing at the bottom of the wall didn’t join the war of words, as no fool would choose to argue with the T (Tank), but from their heads buried in their tablets, one could see they were more confident in themselves.

Only the Healers at the back gathered in groups of threes and twos, chatting, occasionally looking up with odd stares at those overly confident fellows… If you participate in this gambling match, you definitely have to invest a sum of money, the more you bet, the more you share.

But the air god creatures and fire god beasts that were put on the betting plate together totaled less than ten.

Clearly, there were so many chives this time that it was impossible to cut them all, and they all actively sent themselves under the scythe.

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ standing at the foot of The Great Wall did not plan to manage this mess… William is very strict about this kind of thing. Once it crosses his bottom line, the chives will be uprooted.

Currently, it looks like people playing this economic game are more like engaging in a lottery, which does not count as gambling no matter where you are; it is only a matter of luck and strength… Computing power may not even be applicable, as there are always surprises in the battles with the Undead Tribe, and patterns are nonsense among millions of people.

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ walked a round, checked the preparations of each family… Although they are still chatting, at least the work that should be done is completed.

He quietly walked back beside Vila, who was already seated on the carriage flying in front of the Priest company, used his eyes to inquire about ‘Young Master’… After receiving an innocent, confused look in return, ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ quickly switched and cast his inquiring look to the secretary behind ‘Young Master’.

“The little fairies have already prepared.” The secretary immediately replied, “It has been confirmed with them, besides Her Majesty’s Guard riding with the Queen in the carriage… the carriage that Hill gave definitely has space functionality, but it can only accommodate dozens of Little Flower Fairies.

The other little fairies will fly into the hoods of the Priests’ robes to hide, and they have already chosen their suitable candidates and backups.

The Priests have also confirmed that if their own lives are in danger, to whom they will hand over the little fairies.

If there are any further issues, the twelve Space-Time Warlocks arranged around the carriage will take over the little fairies with nowhere to go.”

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ nodded in satisfaction… ‘Rain Falling on Mortal Dust’ went to arrange the Mages’ positions, thankfully there’s still someone to assist ‘Young Master’ in completing these tasks, otherwise it would be him doing it himself… even if it means arranging ‘Young Master’ to do it.

Back when discussing these terms and conditions, ‘Young Master’ contributed much, as he understands the little fairies more… however, he is someone who uses his heart more than his strength, can propose ideas, but it’s hard for him to carry out specific tasks… No matter how good-tempered, this inherently spoiled young master, accustomed to ordering people around, does not have the habit of taking initiative, ordering around is his daily life.

But if you tell him how to do it, ‘Young Master’ will still do it, just needs someone to instruct him step by step.

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ also had no opinion on these, there are plenty of people who are born at the endpoint of life, jealousy is the most useless emotion… but when encountering situations where the timing is more crucial, having someone to help with work is fantastic.

They had gotten used to the state where ‘Young Master’ only attended meetings without working, and in Wenjian’s strange family model, nobody expected them to work cooperatively… Who would have thought one day this guy could be arranged into the Command Group!

After confirming completion with the Clan Leaders again, ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ looked up at the faint white edge appearing in the sky, turned to the carriage and spoke: “Your Majesty, Dawn is approaching, shall we depart?”

“Okay.” Vila responded crisply.
