Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 656: Disguise

While Nathan was going around the town, Sera had to return to the Holy Kingdom.

She was down on one knee in front of the Pope.

The Pope smiled. ”So, the Black Cat Organization is truly gone…”

”Yes. Do you know it, Teacher?”

”I have received the report about the destruction of the Black Cat Organization, which happened 6 days ago. To think it would be linked to him…” The Pope crossed his arms. ”The Black Cat Organization might be known as a terrorist organization that loves to kidnap people, but in the underground world, theyʼre well-known for their brainwashing technique, drug, and human trafficking network.

”Thatʼs why removing the Black Cat Organization will stir up a lot of people.” The Pope looked up, falling into deep thought. ”Well, this is going to be hard. Even though I have the strength to do it, accepting those people and returning them to their families are easier said than done.

”First of all, those people will create some problems. Even if I can defeat them, their numbers are annoying. I canʼt be present everywhere.”

”Does that mean youʼre not going to help them, Teacher?” Sera raised her eyebrows, looking a bit disappointed.

”Not that. I can help them.” The Pope shook his head. ”Itʼs just… I might need cooperation from their side as well. If it looks like weʼre striking a deal with them, it will make us fully responsible for the destruction of the Black Cat Organization.

”On the other hand, if we have them send these people to us all of a sudden, people will be confused and we have no choice but to arrange their return.

”This will shift their focus from us to them. However, doing this…” The Pope frowned.

”Doing this will make us look like weʼre taking advantage of them while getting all the glory?” Sera frowned.

”Yes.” The Pope nodded.

”In that case, Iʼll ask them about it. From what I can see, Nathan doesnʼt seem to mind the problems. No. More like they have expected it.”

”Knowing that boy, he might indeed have predicted it and still proceed with the plan. But Iʼd like to get confirmation before proceeding along with their plan.”

”Understood.” Sera acknowledged the answer before staring at the Pope as though she wanted to continue to the second matter.

”I know.” The Pope waved his hand. ”You want a recommendation letter from me, right? Since you need to mobilize the Holy Kingdomʼs troops, you have no choice but to use the local lord to arrange it, which means my letter will play a huge role in making those lords comply.”

”Yes. The situation is bad, so we donʼt really want to cause more problems for the citizens.”

”I have the same opinion. This is a mission from me, so I wish to help you as much as possible.” The Pope nodded. ”Come back two hours later to pick up the letter.”

”Thank you, Teacher.”

…

With Sera receiving the letter, Nathan would have enough preparation to deal with the enemy.

Still, he alone wouldnʼt be enough to defeat all members of the Crimson Skeleton. That was why he needed help from Flora.

And to his surprise, the ability Flora learned from Melissa actually matched perfectly with the current mission.

”What did you say?” Nathan blinked his eyes in disbelief.

”I have learned some trapping abilities. My spirits have done the same. Although itʼs only a basic formation, I can take advantage of my elements. Whether itʼs a burning trap or an electric trap, I can use them.

”Should we lure them to a certain place and crush them?” Flora asked.

”Yeah. Thatʼs an easy solution. However, itʼs impossible to lure all of them simultaneously. Hence, we have to create a situation where they underestimate us and keep sending a few at a time.”

”Oh?” Flora looked down. ”Using my beauty?”

Nathan shook his head. ”No. The current condition makes a lot of people desperate, you know?”

Flora frowned. ”Desperate… For food or money?”

”Yes.”

”I see. You want to take advantage of normal people? Itʼs no wonder why you said that you canʼt guarantee whether they will be harmed or not.”

He nodded. ”Of course, I donʼt plan to endanger them or make them do something that is blatantly dangerous. I will also do my best to ensure their safety. The problem is, I canʼt really predict how those people from Crimson Skeleton are going to move.

”In addition, this plan will take several days to complete. Of course, if there are things I donʼt know about the city that can actually help us… it will be much better, but we can only wait until we reach that city.” Nathan sighed.

Flora frowned. ”Still, the basic plan will be to lure them and take them out, right?”

”Yes. We might have to split up to make it even more effective. Once theyʼre low in number, weʼll rely on your new abilities to isolate them. The soldiers will be there to keep it tight.

”And last but not least, we will take down the two grandmasters by ourselves.”

”Huh? Isnʼt that reckless? Theyʼre grandmasters, you know? Even I donʼt have the confidence to take them down!” Flora frowned. ”Even though itʼs true that there is a gap of skill between the students of the Frexia Academy and summoners from other academies or influences… Iʼm still a master while the other party is a grandmaster. What about you?”

”Donʼt worry. Our biggest advantage is that they wonʼt know about us. Even though you and I are famous, itʼs not like our face is widely known, right?”

”Thatʼs indeed true… Most of the time, I have to announce my identity first so that people recognize me. Of course, my beauty is often recognized, so I have to cover myself most of the time, but…” Flora fell into deep thought.

”Yep. Thatʼs our main strategy. Disguise. The disguise will allow us to win against them. As long as you can match my movement, the situation wonʼt be as bad. This is why I like to fight humans more than aliens.

”The latter doesnʼt care about anything other than the enemies, while the former has so many flaws.” Nathan smirked.
