Rising Shards

”I’m game for whatever.” Oka said. ”OK, if you’re like ’let’s go streaking!’ Probably not that. Because we’d get in trouble.”

”That’s not what I was thinking XD” I sent. I felt so warm all over, and the energy in the room felt just right that my suggestion for what we could do now felt easy to text her. ”Well, full sex seems a bit far away right now, but not suuuper far away, we’re both naked under these here blankets talking about touching ourselves...so do you want to...touch ourselves now? You can say no if that’s too much.”

Oka’s giggle sounded downright devious. If I heard that laugh and didn’t know her, I’d think I was in danger, but knowing Oka and feeling the energy in the room, it just felt like something clicked into place.

”We don’t have to show each other anything right now, we can just keep it under the blankets, if that’s easier,” I said.

”That may be best,” Oka said. ”Oh, this is so exciting!!”

”And if it works maybe we could text each other during? Might get awkward juggling the phones and...erm...ourselves? but...might be fun!”

”Our first sexting time...sitting right by each other.” Oka said.

”We’re dorks, huh?” I said.

”Perhaps the dorkiest!” Oka said.

”But you’re my dork.” I said.

”And you’re mine.” Oka said. ”I’m game for it.”

”We might have to finagle the blankets a bit to make it work,” I said.

”We’re making it work, it’s your idea,” Oka said. ”My phone may get dropped at some point if I get to into the proceedings, so to speak, but I think that’s a great next step for us.”

My heart was pounding. This was different than anything we’d done so far. We shared another glance to each other, then adjusted our blankets.

”Kay, I maybe didn’t think the blanket thing through,” I said out loud as I tried to figure out It was maybe a more awkward idea than it needed to be, the blanket thing didn’t quite match up with texting needing one hand and taking care of ourselves needing another. ”Sorry, this is dumb.”

”No, it’s your idea, I wanna try,” Oka said, her voice getting a bit breathy. She sounded like she couldn’t hold out much longer, and honestly I couldn’t either. We both craved release, and waiting to figure out my clumsy idea wasn’t going to cut it.

”How about my next idea then, we just do it side by side,” I said, my voice like hers now too, breathy and desperate. ”Then do phone stuff later. Like when we’re not right by each other.”

Oka sighed, not in annoyance, maybe just relief. ”You sure?”

”Yeah, I can’t wait anymore, Oka...” I said. ”I’m getting really...”

”Me too...” Oka said.

It was easier to get ready like this, just having to cover ourselves up, both deciding that this was easiest with the blankets over us as our arms went below. We moved on the bed so we could lie down by each other, which was a bit cramped on Oka’s bed, but something we were willing to put up with. Our shoulders would be bumping into each other for this, but we could handle that. We stared at each other, both weighing crossing the next line.

My beautiful, wonderful, sweet girlfriend, showing me a side of her she never showed anyone. Me showing her this side of me that I hadn’t shown anyone else, either. Taking a step closer on our road to intimacy. We both nodded, and in sync reached our hands lower.

My first thought was surprise, even after all our sex talk I didn’t realize how badly I needed this. My body cried out in joy finally relieving the tension. I don’t think I’d ever had a moment of self-pleasure that felt so immediately gratifying. Then I realized how vulnerable I felt. It felt so bizarre doing this beside someone, showing this side of me, letting it out for my love. Third was excitement realizing Oka really was doing the same beside me. She looked...adorable. It was hot, sure, but she just looked so cute as she pleasured herself right by me, alternating between shutting her eyes from how good she felt to staring intently at me. I couldn’t really see anything below her collarbone, just a bit of movement across our blankets.

This was the furthest we’d gone, and it felt so right, so good. Nobody burst into the room to stop us, no dumb interference happened, and while we took a while yapping about it to get to this point, we didn’t interrupt each other either with nonstop worry about what we were doing. We talked it out, agreed on what we’d be comfortable with, and acted on it. Simple, yes, but huge for Oka and me.

Each time we bumped into each other only slightly, I felt a rush of energy. Like my body was begging for this, and maybe begging for more. In movies and books and junk about Cani they sometimes had plotlines where Cani could become so connected they were forever mates, like animals or something, but it always seemed kind of hokey. But as I rubbed myself, my fingers giving me the release I craved as Oka did the same right next to me, I felt like I was completely hers, and that she was mine. A connection we couldn’t even put into words at the moment, one let out with small whimpers and moans instead. There was so much in my life that was out of sorts, stressful, and difficult, but none of those involved Oka. In that moment I could cast that all away, and just share something incredibly special with the one I loved most.

I yelped, hips bucking up, surprising myself as my body let out somehow an even louder and more triumphant cry of joy, waves of bliss spreading around me.

Oka wasn’t done yet, letting out a small gasp. ”Wait, was that...?”

”Yeah...sorry...” I said, embarrassed that I finished so soon, about to turn away from how much I blushed.

Oka nudged into me with her shoulder, then winked. ”You can go again?” It came out like a question, but also...like a demand. An order I was happy to follow as I nodded, continuing.
