Rising Shards

Oka and I kept giggling and fidgeting around as we continued texting each other. Casually exploring this in Oka’s room with relaxing music made for a really nice environment.

”That one time we went to the cafe and you got the whipped cream or whatever, like a bit fell on your boobs,” I sent. ”That kinda drove me crazy.”

”Oh, I remember that!” Oka sent back. ”You know, it’s funny, as the cream was falling I had this moment thought like ’I hope Zeta is watching where it falls.’”

”I sure was,” I said. ”I think I get caught staring at your boobs the most, but I don’t want you to take that as me only liking them, I like all of your body. ”

”Whoops,” Oka said out loud, making us both jolt as she sent a selfie that framed her from the chest to her head.

”Is this you trying to get more comments about your boobs?” I sent, snickering. ”I could’ve just peeked over too, you know.”

”Genuine accident!” Oka said. ”But they do look pretty good in that picture, right? Maybe I should’ve said it was on purpose.”

”Heh, they do,” I said.

”Zeta?”

”Oh!” I didn’t realize how long I was just staring at that picture.

”Just making sure you didn’t see anything weird in it,” Oka said.

”Nothing off, I just likes ya body,” I said.

”Remember that time right after the whole Starlight Despair thing where we got a week off?” Oka asked.

”Hard to forget that...”

”Yeah, it was rough, I’m sure even harder for you. Was it a bright spot when we were sending each other pictures back and forth?”

”It was! I felt so...I wanna say naughty but that sounds kind of corny…” I coughed, somehow finding the word hard to even type.

”Heh. You know, in the back of my mind I was kinda hoping we’d end up sending pictures with like...” Oka loudly strummed her fingers on the back of her phone. ”Like...a bit more skin showing. Sorry! That’s probably super gross to think when you were in a rough patch.”

”Wow!” I sent.

”IM SORRY”

”No I mean good wow! I mean, that would have made it even more of a highlight of that week...I’m glad we waited though, I think we’re more ready for it now. Plus it made it more special when we had our beach getaway.”

”Oh, true...” Oka sighed wistfully. ”What’d you think when you saw the uh...like all of me? We were on the boob subject, what’d you think about seeing em fully? (Am I being weird? I feel like I’m being weird)”

We both shot a glance at the other, maybe experiencing some mutual overwhelming feelings. Were we being too much? Were we ready to cross these lines? It was my turn to be reassuring, because in my guts I felt like we weren’t doing anything wrong.

”(I don’t think so, but maybe we’re both just being weird...as long as we’re both on the same mutual weirdness I think it’s OK!)”

”Alright alright, wait!” Oka frantically added another message. ”(Alright alright! Forgot the dealies. Continue, please!)”

I put myself back in my shoes from that day. Or no shoes at all because we’d taken everything off at that point, just having bathrobes on to try and recreate a dream Oka had the best we could. I daydreamed a lot about Oka’s chest, but it was different really finally seeing it. I could only imagine body fully bare until she dropped her robe. ”Seeing your boobs was like...everything I wanted them to be. But better.”

”Heh...you’re making me blush (she says as if she hasn’t been blushing intensely this entire time)”

”Hehe...it made me...erm...want to hold dem :3 and ummm bite dem :3”

The more flustered I got the more I got into the typing mode only reserved for leaving comments on fanfics, very...like that.

”Really...hehe...that’s amazing. I...well, it’s making me want to do something, but...I kind of want to say this out loud.”

”Break from texting for a second?” I asked.

”Text break!” Oka said out loud.

”Text break,” I nodded and confirmed. ”So...what did you...”

Oka reached over and pulled me in, and we shared one of the sloppier kisses we’d ever attempted. The sloppiness kind of added to the experience, both of us so desperate for the other that we could barely even kiss right.

”Sorry...” Oka said, wiping our spit from her lips. ”This is just getting me really wound up.”

”Yeah...yep,” I said, realizing I was getting almost dizzy from this.

”When I pictured us having this text-y time, I kinda pictured...” Oka sighed. ”I don’t know if it’ll even work.”

”I wanna hear it!” I said. It felt almost weird to talk out loud now.

Oka fidgeted with the flower in her hair, which had gotten a bit out of sorts from that sloppy kiss. ”I kinda wanted us to get naked under the blankets.”

”Like...together?” I yelped, my hair almost standing up from the shock of it. ”I’m not opposed, I just might need some warming up to it!” That could be risky too given how excited we both were.

”No, no I don’t want to rush to that! I mean, like,” She gave up trying to fix her flower and chucked it to her desk. ”Each of us take off our clothes, and get under a blanket. That way we can...have a sequel of sorts to the beach thing, but not rush it too much.”

”Ohh, OK, OK,” I said.

”And then we can have a like...next level to this conversation, you know?” Oka said.

”Yeah!” I said. It was a bit wild for us, but also within range of past wildness.

Oka hopped off the bed. ”One thing, though.” She took the chair at the desk and propped it against the door like we were in some horror movie keeping zombies out.

”You think that’ll hold?” I asked.

”I don’t know, but if anyone even tries to interfere I’m gonna scream at them, it’s not gonna be pretty,” Oka said. ”So they better hope it holds if they come over.”

Oka and I stared at each other. ”So...um...” I said. ”Should we...get undressed now?” I asked.

”Yeah! Wait...” Oka put her hands on her hips, looking up at her top bunk. ”Frick, how am I gonna get back onto the bed wrapped in the blanket? I didn’t think this through at all.”

”We have seen each other before, so if you wanted you could like...get the clothes off, climb up here, then wrap yourself up in a blanket?” I suggested.

”True...I just think...I may be distracted if we aren’t somewhat covered.” Oka said. ”Which I realize is annoying to say after I just pushed for us to do this.”

”It’s not too annoying,” I said. ”This might be an annoying question, though, how are we gonna see our phones and text with blankets wrapped around us?” I asked.

”Well...hm.” Oka said. She snapped her fingers. ”We’ll just wrap the blankets around us like towels! I can see some shoulder without getting too distracted I think. And I can probably get undressed up there, too.” She bit her lip, looking up at me with maybe the neediest pout I’d ever seen from her. ”I just...really wanna...”

That needy pout had an effect on me. Even if I didn’t get the logic fully yet, it was something Oka wanted, and I decided I wanted it too.

I held my hand out, and helped her climb back onto the bed.

”This’ll be so worth it, trust me,” Oka said.

It took some finagling, but she divvied up the blankets so I had one and she had one, set to our sides as we sat on our knees across from each other. Oka wrapped her blanket around her like it was a big coat to hide under.

”Are we doing it like...” I started.

Oka dove under her big blanket for a few seconds, rustling around. Her head popped out as she made a ”PWEH” sound like she was coming up for air. ”Take that!” She said as she chucked a ball of clothes at me. I laughed maybe way too hard at the sudden attack, but I was legitimately caught off guard by her quickness and getting hit with a bunch of clothes.

”There is no way you got all your clothes off that fast,” I said.

Oka turned her head up smugly at me. ”Check the pile there, my dear.”

Sure enough, she’d gotten just about everything off. The tension in the room increased bit by bit as I sifted through her pants, shirt, camisole, bra, panties...when we were roommates, we were both pretty private about our clothes, and even after dating I hadn’t really looked much at her undergarments. I felt a bit like I was leering, but Oka seemed to enjoy my stares.

”You can just chuck em on the floor when you’re done,” Oka said.

Once I did just that, I was still shocked. ”I can’t believe you did that in like fifteen seconds, that’s crazy.”

”I’m pretty incredible, after all,” Oka said.

”You really are,” I said. ”Though you could have just had a pile of clothes ready, and tricked me with them!”

”Heh, you think?” Oka said, reading between the lines that I wanted a little ”proof.” She turned around, dropping her blanket past her shoulders, showing me her bare back, turning just enough to stick her tongue out at me. I was speechless by the sight of her gorgeous, smooth skin, her tail flicking about excitedly. I leaned in without thinking, and kissed her just between her shoulder blades. Then I realized I did that, and we both blushed and made squirrel sounds for a minute before Oka got back under her blanket.

”I have significantly less confidence I’ll be able to do that as well as you, and definitely not as fast,” I said.

”Well, I wanna see you try now,” Oka said. ”But I won’t be mad if I get a peek before you’re under your blanket.”

Sure enough, it was pretty difficult trying to undress with a blanket. I managed to get the top stuff off, and chucked it at Oka to match her throwing hers at mine. We were both giggling like crazy, which made it even tougher for my bottoms.

”While you do that,” Oka said as I grunted my way through peeling my jeans down. She had me scoot to the left so she could lie down again. With both of us lying down, it was easier to get my own panties off. My clothes ended up in a pile next to Oka’s on the ground. We were now naked under our blankets, effectively big towels wrapped around us. It felt strangely nice, and different than just showing each other our bodies. It was a bit silly as we’d seen each other naked already, but there was something kind of fun about being wrapped up like this.

”Back to texting mode now?” I asked.

”Mhm!” Oka said.
