Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 675: The Bizarre death circumstances of Astra.

Only after inheriting Astra’s inheritance did Lia realize how bizarre her circumstances of death were.

To create the ’Sword of Promised Destinies, Pratigya,’ Astra not only just sacrificed her soul and body, she sacrificed her ’existence’ and all the ’threads of destiny’ that used to bind her soul to this world.

Everything in the world is bound by their own ’Threads of Destiny,’ which work like an anchor for the person or entity that keeps them bound to this world and its reality.

If a person’s ’Threads of Destiny’ are completely severed, they will have nothing to keep them anchored to this world and reality.

In this kind of situation, the person would end up dying so thoroughly that nothing can revive them.

Unless those severed threads of destiny are re-woven and reattached to your body, it’s nearly impossible to survive this kind of fate, and unfortunately there are no beings capable of creating threads of fate aside from the ’Origin’ itself.

The damage done to threads of fate is thus permanent and near impossible to heal!

Astra severed her ties with reality, molded her body into a new shape, and created a weapon that was so overwhelmingly powerful that it couldn’t have been connected to the threads of destiny, as they wouldn’t have even been able to bear the burden of supporting it!

The main reason why the ’Sword of Promised Destinies’ is just a one-time-use weapon is because it can’t be anchored to the world like other objects and individuals through the help of the threads of destiny.

Even if you don’t use the weapon, it will slowly disappear over time as its existence will fade away into nothingness because of not being anchored to the world.

Once used, the weapon would consume all of its energy and would cease to exist completely, and along with it, the existence of the person who created it would also cease to exist completely.

Astra molded her entire existence into something completely different and broke her ties to the world; thus, the ’laws’ of the ’world’ have become unable to properly express her death circumstances.

To them, she didn’t completely die but turned into something new, but still also died and turned into nothingness.

This bizarre situation and confusion among the ’laws’ of reality has caused the situation of Astra’s death to become very mysterious.

All healers that reach rank SS, like Selain and Aria, seem to be able to find out Astra’s exact death circumstances through the confused memories of the ’Law’ of ’Protection and Cure.’

On the other hand, other ’laws’ do not seem to have much impression of her left, and thus other SS-rankers remain very much confused about her and think she’s gone missing.

The main reason why Selain and Aria knew about Astra turning into a sword for King Allen was also because they inherited that memory from the ’Law’ of ’Protection and Cure.’

But Astra’s death circumstance is so bizarre that those two unconsciously always end up not talking about Astra’s true death circumstance whenever they talk it out with others.

It is almost as if the ’laws’ of the ’world’ refuse to acknowledge all this and creates distractions on their own without even knowing!

’Unless it’s a healer, it seems people can’t really acknowledge or even understand this topic...’

’The laws of the world itself are confused... no wonder that others are confused too..’

Sacrificing your existence and breaking all ties with the world is no small matter; it even jumbles up the memories and impressions of the ’Laws’ of reality and creates mass chaos.

Nowadays, the main reason why Astra is considered ’missing’ together with King Allen is because people don’t seem to realize what actually happened, and only SS-rank healers are immune to this confusion in the truest sense.

’Then does this mean that those who are closely tied with ’Laws’ of ’Protection and Cure’ and ’Cosmic Order’ like me... would be able to realize this problem and confusion but others can’t?’

The ’Law’ of ’Cosmic Order’ that has favored Lia is one of the few ’Laws’ that managed to keep an impression of Astra.

For Lia to inherit Astra’s knowledge and even actually interact with her memory, she needed the help of the ’Law’ of ’Cosmic Order’; if not for it, she wouldn’t have been able to talk to her at all.

Lia didn’t know, but Riya had managed to listen to Aria and Selain talking about Astra’s true death circumstances back then too.

And it was mainly because she was already favored by the ’Law’ of ’Protection and cure,’ like the two SS-rank healers.

All in all, creating ’Pratigya’ was no joking matter; it was a gamble on such a massive scale that one could even say the ’world’ could lose its impression about the person creating the gamble in the worst-case scenario.

’The more I digest this inheritance, the more I feel that creating this so-called mythical artifact is a massive trap that I should avoid at all costs!’

While Lia was busy thinking about various things in her mind, Rio’s voice snapped her out of her daze.

”We are here...”

At Rio’s words, Lia came back to her senses, stopped flying, and stood beside Rio in mid-air.

”That must be the final boss of this dungeon... are you ready, Lia?”

Lia looked at the monster that Rio pointed at, and her eyes narrowed as she found that the other boss monster of this dungeon was actually considerate enough to find a massive open field for a duel.

In the barren wasteland where there was nothing else in sight aside from miasma, corrupted soil, and broken boulders scattered around everywhere, there was but a single humanoid-shaped individual sitting peacefully in a ’seiza’ posture on the ground.

The individual had big fairy wings and was giving off powerful fairy healing magic fluctuations despite being much bigger in size than a normal fairy like Nova and the airhead twins.

Although a major portion of the other party’s body was covered in miasmic corruption and decay, the individual’s beautiful-looking face made their identity pretty clear almost instantly.

That was without a doubt.

”A True Royal Fairy...”
