Chapter 3146: Young Lord Came Personally (1)

At the campsite.

Li Yukun was seated at the campsite’s entrance. His brows were tightly knitted as he looked in the direction where Huang Yueli and the others left in.

Huang Yueli chose to leave very early in the morning to launch a surprise attack on the demon tribe’s campsite. Li Yukun personally wasn’t in favor of this decision.

As the Commanding Officer, Li Yukun had always been famous for having conservative strategies. It was exactly why he rejected Xia Yunxi’s suggestion a few days ago and chose to focus on defense instead.

Now, Huang Yueli had just taken charge of the campsite and made such an aggressive choice. Li Yukun almost jumped out to object!

But Huang Yueli had been suppressing the news of this. It was only right after they were going to depart did she send someone to inform Li Yukun about this, requesting his help to protect the campsite.

She didn’t even give him any chance to stop them!

Li Yukun felt flustered just thinking of the campsite’s main forces being mobilized towards the demon tribe’s campsite.

“Young people are just too rash, too impulsive! I didn’t expect a genius like Li Yuehuang to be so impulsive. He totally didn’t consider the consequences, sigh! At least we should discuss this, no?”

“Unfortunately it’s too late to say anything now! I only hope that they can complete the mission smoothly and return in one piece. And… I hope that while the main forces are not at the campsite, we won’t meet with any enemy attacks…”

Li Yukun muttered to himself.

However, before he had finished his sentence, clopping sounds from horse hooves were heard coming from the outside of the campsite.

Moreover, it was obvious that those people who came were extremely swift. It only took mere seconds for them to reach the campsite entrance from far.

Li Yukun’s expression changed!

Dawn had just broken and the sky was still hazy from the morning sun rays. Huang Yueli and the others had merely just left two hours ago.

By now, they should already have reached the demon tribe’s campsite.

If they were a little slower, they might not have started fighting yet!

So, these clopping sounds were definitely not signs of Huang Yueli and the others returning!

“Other than them, who else could come to our campsite at this timing?”

“Could it be that the demon tribe had already predicted that we will launch a surprise attack on them today? So they pretended to fall for the trick and lay an ambush near our campsite instead, hoping to invade us while our forces are not around?”

“If it’s true, then all of us… will really be done for!”

Li Yukun hurriedly ordered his personal guard regiment to prepare for battle.

But the people coming were simply too fast. Before the personal guard regiment could leave, the riders had already reached their campsite entrance.

At the campsite, every single practitioner perked up their senses as they waited for the opponent’s attack!

However, those people stopped once they reached the campsite’s entrance.

Not long after, someone got off his mount and walked to the exterior of the defensive array. He raised his voice and shouted, “Is there anyone here? We just came from the southern campsite. Can you deactivate the defensive array and let us in?”

Li Yukun was stunned upon hearing that voice.

“What’s going on? From the tone, it does sound like our native from Cloudy Qilin Clan… are they really not from the demon tribe? Men, go take a look and interrogate them thoroughly!”

His personal guards complied with his order and after a brief conversation with the people at the entrance, they hastily ran back in alarm to convey the message.

“Div… Divine Lieutenant, the person who came…. is… is a VIP!”

“Li Yukun frowned slightly, “VIP? What VIP? Surely they can’t be the reinforcement soldiers from Blessed City, right?”
