Online Game: My Decay Drives the Entire Server Crazy

Chapter 56 Reverse Sanctions! Causing Bankruptcy to All Alliance MembersThe news that Lin Ye took Kuang Zhan and Ying Ren to join the Commoner Supermarket spread throughout the server like it had wings.

Some were surprised, some were confused, and more people were waiting to see a good show.

After all, Ling Tian’s group had been plotting to bring down the Commoner Supermarket three days ago, and three days later, they had become Lin Ye’s lackeys.

This change was too fast.

But Lin Ye knew that Ling Tian was truly convinced, and so were Kuang Zhan and Ying Ren.

However, that ”Anti-Unscrupulous Alliance” was not just the three of them.

There were also the leaders of three small guilds who had taken money from overseas forces and were determined to go against Lin Ye.

Ling Tian had tried to persuade them, but it was useless.

Kuang Zhan had scolded them, but it was also useless.

Ying Ren even threatened to expose their dark secrets, but they just laughed at Ying Ren as a ”traitor.”

Lin Ye sat by the window, holding the list that Ling Tian had handed to him.

On it were three names: Iron Blood Alliance leader ”Iron Face,” Wind and Cloud Pavilion leader ”Cloud Crane,” and Casual Player Alliance leader ”Lone Wolf.”

Three people, three guilds, had received five million gold coins in funding from overseas forces specifically to cause trouble.

”Ling Tian, are you sure they won’t stop?” Lin Ye asked.

Ling Tian stood in front of him, head lowered: ”I tried to persuade them three times. Iron Face said, ’Stopping is possible, let Ye close the Commoner Supermarket.’ Cloud Crane said, ’If Ye doesn’t fall, I won’t retreat.’ Lone Wolf was even more ruthless, he said, ’If I don’t bring Ye down, I swear I won’t be human.’”

Lin Ye laughed: ”Swear you won’t be human? Then let him stop being human.”

He stood up, walked to the window, and looked at the lights of the main city in the distance.

Su Qinghan walked up and handed him an investigation report.

”Found it. The funding sources for the Iron Blood Alliance, Wind and Cloud Pavilion, and Casual Player Alliance are all the same. Overseas accounts, registered in Korea, with direct links to the Korean Server’s top guild, the Goryeo War God Temple.”

”Goryeo War God Temple?” Lin Ye raised an eyebrow, ”The one that was clamoring to deal with me on the world channel last time?”

”Yes. Their leader, Kim Hyun-tae, is notoriously arrogant on the Korean Server. This time, sponsoring three small guilds to mess with us is likely an attempt to test your strength.”

Lin Ye laughed: ”Testing? Then let him see what real strength is.”

That afternoon, Lin Ye took Su Qinghan, Fatty Wang, and Qin Wentian to the entrance of the Iron Blood Alliance’s guild territory.

Ling Tian followed behind, his expression complex.

He used to call Iron Face brother, but now he had to stand on the opposite side.

The Iron Blood Alliance’s guild territory was not large, but it was heavily guarded.

More than twenty elite players stood at the entrance, all equipped with purple gear at a minimum.

Iron Face stood at the very front, holding a large golden sword.

Seeing Lin Ye, his expression changed.

”Ye, what are you here for?”

Lin Ye put his hands in his pockets, a unscrupulous smile hanging on the corner of his mouth: ”Came to have a talk with you. Heard you’ve been messing with my business lately?”

Iron Face sneered: ”Your business? The Commoner Supermarket is opened by you, but the material market of the entire server is not yours alone. I sell my materials, you sell yours, fair competition.”

”Fair competition?” Lin Ye laughed, ”You take money from overseas forces, maliciously drive down prices, spread rumors and smear, and hire people to make trouble—this is called fair competition?”

Iron Face’s expression changed: ”You... what nonsense are you talking about? I never took anyone’s money!”

Lin Ye took out a transfer record from his backpack and shoved it into his face: ”Goryeo War God Temple, five million gold coins, transferred to your account three days ago. Do you need me to post the screenshot on the forum?”

Iron Face looked at the record, his face turning pale.

He wanted to retort, but the evidence was right in front of him; he couldn’t refute it at all.

”What do you want?” He asked through gritted teeth.

Lin Ye put away the record and patted his shoulder: ”Very simple. Return the money from the overseas forces, disband the guild, and take your people and leave the main city. I can pretend nothing happened.”

Iron Face fell silent.

The lackeys behind him whispered to each other; some were wavering, some were angry, and some were afraid.

”What if I don’t return it?” Iron Face gritted his teeth.

Lin Ye laughed: ”Not returning it? Then don’t blame me for being impolite.”

He raised his hand and cast three debuffs on the Iron Blood Alliance’s guild territory—Resource Deprivation, Fortune Zeroing, and Reputation Collapse.

[System Prompt: The target [Iron Blood Alliance guild territory] has been inflicted with the [Resource Deprivation] effect. Material drop rates for all dungeons, mines, and herb gardens within the territory are reduced by 99% for 30 days.]

[System Prompt: The target [Iron Blood Alliance guild members] has been inflicted with the [Fortune Zeroing] effect. When all members conduct transactions, the system will automatically deduct 50% of the transaction amount as a fine for 30 days.]

[System Prompt: The target [Iron Blood Alliance guild] has been inflicted with the [Reputation Collapse] effect. All comments made by members on the forum and the world channel will be automatically marked as ”rumors” and prioritized for folding, for 30 days.]

Iron Face looked at the system prompts, completely dumbfounded.

Thirty days, 99% reduction in material drop rates, 50% transaction fine, comments folded.

How is this still playable? How can the guild continue to operate?

”Ye, you are bullying people too much!” Iron Face roared.

Lin Ye shrugged: ”You provoked me first. I gave you a chance, you didn’t cherish it.”

He turned and left.

Su Qinghan, Fatty Wang, and Qin Wentian followed behind.

Ling Tian hesitated for a moment, glanced at Iron Face, and followed as well.

Iron Face stood at the gate of the guild territory, looking at Lin Ye’s back, trembling all over.

He opened the guild channel, and it was already a mess.

[Iron Blood Alliance Guild Channel]

[Member A: President, I mined for an entire afternoon and didn’t get a single iron ore! What’s going on?]

[Member B: Me too! Dungeons don’t drop gear, not even white items!]

[Member C: I just sold a piece of purple gear, and the system deducted 50% tax! Is this game even playable?]

[Member D: President, I spoke on the world channel and was folded by the system! It says I’m spreading rumors!]

Iron Face looked at these messages and completely collapsed.

He didn’t expect Lin Ye’s methods to be so ruthless.

No fighting, no cursing, just cutting off resources, deducting money, and sealing mouths.

Thirty days—let alone bringing down the Commoner Supermarket, whether the Iron Blood Alliance itself could last thirty days was a question.

He opened his private messages and sent messages to Cloud Crane and Lone Wolf.

As it turned out, both of them had encountered the same situation.

Cloud Crane’s Wind and Cloud Pavilion had the same debuffs, and Lone Wolf’s Casual Player Alliance hadn’t escaped either.

Three guilds, all ruined overnight.

[world channel]

[Player ”Wocao Wuqing”: What happened to the Iron Blood Alliance? Why did they suddenly stop producing materials?]

[Player ”Brick-Moving Expert”: I heard they offended Brother Ye and got hit with debuffs. No materials for 30 days, 50% tax on transactions, comments folded. Miserable!]

[Player ”Invincible Sword God”: Serves them right! Who told them to take money from overseas forces to mess with Brother Ye? They brought it on themselves!]

[Player ”Yes Little Follower”: Brother Ye’s move is too ruthless! No fighting, no cursing, just cutting off food, money, and speech. Let’s see how many more days you can jump around!]

The next day, people started leaving the Iron Blood Alliance.

It wasn’t that they didn’t want to stay, but they couldn’t.

Monsters didn’t drop items, transactions were taxed, and even their speech couldn’t be seen by anyone.

What was the point of this guild?

On the third day, Iron Face came to see Lin Ye in person.

He stood at the entrance of the Commoner Supermarket, his face grey, looking ten years older.

”Brother Ye, I was wrong.” He lowered his head, ”Please let the Iron Blood Alliance go.”

Lin Ye sat by the window, eating melon seeds, not looking at him: ”I said it before, return the money from the overseas forces, disband the guild, and take your people and leave the main city. Did you do that?”

Iron Face was silent.

”No, right? Then what are you begging me for?”

Iron Face gritted his teeth: ”Brother Ye, I can disband the guild. But those brothers of mine, they didn’t do anything wrong. Can you let them go?”

Lin Ye put down the melon seeds, stood up, walked to the window, and looked at Iron Face.

Iron Face stood downstairs, looking up, his eyes full of pleading.

”Fine. I’ll let them go. But you—” Lin Ye paused, ”You have to leave this game. Forever.”

Iron Face shivered.

Leave this game? This was a game he had played for three years and invested countless efforts into.

Leaving like this, he was unwilling.

But he knew this was the only way.

”Okay. I’ll go.” He said in a low voice.

That night, Iron Face disbanded the Iron Blood Alliance and deleted his account.

Cloud Crane and Lone Wolf made the same choice.

Three guilds disappeared from the main city overnight.

Lin Ye stood by the window, looking at the direction of the Iron Blood Alliance territory in the distance.

It had already turned into ruins; the system had reclaimed the territory, leaving only a few pillars standing.

Su Qinghan walked up and stood beside him: ”Do you think it’s worth it?”

”What’s worth it or not?”

”Forcing them to delete their accounts. Although they did wrong, it shouldn’t have to go that far...”

Lin Ye interrupted her: ”They took money from overseas forces to mess with their own people. This kind of thing cannot be indulged. If we let them go today, more people will learn from them tomorrow. When that happens, what will happen to the casual players in the whole server?”

Su Qinghan fell silent.

She knew Lin Ye was right.

Some things must be dealt with using thunderous means.

Fatty Wang ran up from downstairs, holding a report: ”Brother, found it! The overseas account that funded Iron Face and the others is indeed behind a Korean person. The ID is ’Goryeo War Soul,’ the vice president of the Goryeo War God Temple.”

Lin Ye took the report and glanced at it, a unscrupulous smile curling on the corner of his mouth: ”Goryeo War God Temple? That’s the one that was clamoring on the cross-server channel last time, right?”

”Yes. Their leader, Kim Hyun-tae, is notoriously arrogant on the Korean Server. This time, sponsoring Iron Face and the others is likely an attempt to test your strength.”

Lin Ye laughed: ”Testing? Then let him see what real strength is.”

He opened the world channel and sent a message—

[world channel] [Ye]: Friends from the Goryeo War God Temple, your five million gold coins have gone down the drain. Next time you want to mess with me, bring more money. Five million isn’t enough to fill the gaps in my teeth.

The players on the whole server saw this message and it exploded—

[Player ”Wocao Wuqing”: Damn! So it was the Koreans causing trouble!]

[Player ”Brick-Moving Expert”: Goryeo War God Temple? The one that was clamoring on the cross-server channel to deal with Brother Ye? Just this? Five million gold coins and they want to bring down Brother Ye? Too naive!]

[Player ”Invincible Sword God”: Brother Ye, crush them! The Cross-Server Tournament is starting soon, it’s the perfect time to deal with them!]

[Player ”Yes Little Follower”: Brother Ye, I support you! Crush the Goryeo War God Temple!]

Lin Ye looked at the messages on the world channel, the arc of his mouth growing larger.

Cross-Server Tournament? He had almost forgotten about that.

”Qinghan, when does the Cross-Server Tournament start?”

Su Qinghan flipped through the calendar: ”The 15th of next month. There are twenty days left.”

Lin Ye nodded: ”Enough.”

”What’s enough?”

”Preparation time.” Lin Ye stood up, walked to the window, and looked at the lights of the main city in the distance, ”The Goryeo War God Temple wants to mess with me in the Cross-Server Tournament? Then I will let them know who the real daddy is.”

The night was deep, and the stars were dim.

The lights of the main city swayed in the wind like a golden ocean.

And on the other side of the ocean, a greater storm was brewing.
