One-Eyed Monster

The fire dragon charged straight towards the puppet monster, unstoppable, breaking through all the smoke defenses, ready to attack the vile puppet monster.

”Humph!” The puppet monster roared in anger, and its thick fingers began to move again, seemingly manipulating the lines controlling the puppet.

Sure enough, the massive Grim swiftly positioned himself in front of the puppet monster, directly absorbing the blue flames.

Ah—A heart-wrenching cry echoed through the night sky, the burns from the flames brought Grim back to consciousness from a comatose state, yet he couldn’t move and had to serve as a meat shield for his master. Even with the Body of Iron skill, the flames’ intense burning was undeniable; the blue flames quickly turned Grim’s iron body red-hot, if it weren’t for this skill, Grim would have been reduced to ashes.

Master Lao was stunned watching from the side, even though he knew the Smoke Organization deserved harsh punishments for their wickedness, he was shocked to see the puppet master using his subordinate as such a meat shield. How evil must one be to have such a cold heart...

Master Lao didn’t have time to reflect, for Igor and the others were fiercely attacking the puppet monster, a battle scene that overwhelmed him. Master Lao had witnessed many battles during his time at the ironworks in the Imperial Capital, but none had ever been as thrilling as today’s. The skills of these two youths were beyond ordinary reach; the sinister smoke was no match for them, yet their opponent was enigmatic and unpredictable. From what he, a mere smith, could discern, this monster was once a puppet master, and nothing more.

Kadi’s flames forced the puppet monster to deploy the massive Grim in defense, easing the resistance on Igor’s side. It could be said that they crushed the smoke effortlessly, but the problems were the endless stream of these skills. This puppet monster was unlike the Soul Devourer Master in the Border Realm, who had a cycle of energy; this puppet monster was like an inexhaustible energy reservoir!

However, these matters were no longer important; Igor’s lightning sword aura had already repelled the smoke and Ruben’s clones. In that fleeting moment, Igor could swing his sword toward the puppet master!

Let’s see what you can do to defend against this!

The Thunder Sword Qi, guided by the Meteor Sword Spirit, rushed directly toward the target, dissolving the smoke as it went. The sword aura was absorbed due to the spirit power upon reaching the puppet master’s side, but the thunder pierced through the layers of obstacles, striking the horn on the puppet monster’s shoulder directly!

Boom—Crack—

The puppet master furrowed his brow; he hadn’t anticipated that this strike would land, especially on the horn on his shoulder!

Although not powerful, Igor’s strike was a probe, yet it directly blasted a part of the puppet monster’s horn off.

As the piece of the horn fell to the ground with a thud, Sims, controlled nearby, also let out a wail, his once upright body collapsing halfway in a moment!

This change directly indicated to Igor and Kadi that it was time to fiercely attack the puppet monster!

Before the puppet master could express his surprise, Kadi’s flames flew over again; earlier it was one fire dragon, now it’s two!

What is this!

The puppet monster hastily, and clumsily, raised another puppet, only to discover in surprise that he could only control part of it. The puppet tool linking Wizard Sims had lost most of its functionality, barely able to lift half of Sims, but even half could act as a shield; however, the puppet monster hadn’t anticipated the flames being followed by bursts of thunder.

Boom!

Accompanies the screams and wails, with the tick of the other horn falling from the arm, the puppet monster felt like he was listening to his own symphony of doom!

The horns on both arms were completely taken over by Igor and Kadi, and the control over Sims and the giant Grim was lost!

Sims and the giant Grim had already passed out in pain, appearing like two dead bodies, lying there motionless.

The smallest physical harm was suffered by the old man smoking; seeing his companions turned into such a state made his face pale in fright, yet he still couldn’t move, now he and Ruben were the master’s last two chess pieces!

At this moment, Igor and Kadi were unstoppable; lightning and flames followed one after another!

And the puppet monster, at this moment, had no ability to fight back at all!

The puppet monster could barely put up a fight through numerous Ruben’s clones and smoke, but that was truly a struggle.

Kadi’s fire dragon had multiplied into four, while Igor’s thunder was quicker and quicker...

The puppet master looked at Master Lao with spite, knowing if it wasn’t for this blacksmith revealing his weaknesses, these two youths wouldn’t have found his vital point so swiftly!

But now it was all too late, the lightning’s purpose was straightforward and without error, and while the flames weren’t as precise as lightning, they still burned powerfully, setting his horns on fire!

The last two chess pieces fell!

In an instant, the severely wounded Ruben fell from the sky, lying like a dead man beside his brother, and the old man smoking collapsed powerlessly onto the ground, conscious but immobile...

As for the puppet master, even in pain, he remained standing.

Igor sheathed his sword, knowing the battle was nearing an end, no longer needing to use the Meteor Sword.

”Had I known it was this simple, I wouldn’t have gone to such lengths, ay!” Kadi sighed, indeed the way to defeat the puppet master was somewhat simple, dealing with the puppets controlled by the puppet monster earlier had expended more energy.

”Without knowing the weakness, we couldn’t have been so precise!” Igor said and then expressed gratitude to Master Lao.

”Hm, what did this guy want with the Master anyway? How could the Master have a spirit core, is he joking!” Even now, Kadi hadn’t figured out the craftsman spirit thing.

”Heh, I’ve found that you folks always have a common weakness!” Igor ignored Kadi’s question and walked directly towards the puppet monster.

”You...” The puppet monster had entirely lost control; even though he still had energy within, he couldn’t wield it. Seeing Igor’s figure approaching filled his heart with a shadow!
