One-Eyed Monster

Igor thought about it repeatedly but still couldn’t figure out what Kadi’s method was exactly like.

Moreover, Kadi mentioned he would inform him of where to meet, suggesting Kadi might leave some kind of marker here.

But despite Igor expanding his spirit power to feel it, he still didn’t find anything. Jemma’s detection skill has a wide range, making it impossible to miss anything right in front of them.

Igor scratched his head incessantly, pondering how Kadi would usually do things!

But after pondering for a while, Igor felt a sense of despair because Kadi likes to do an overwhelming number of things!

Igor wasn’t sure in which direction he should think.

There was no choice, the sky was gradually darkening, and if he didn’t think of something soon, it would be completely dark, making searching for Kadi even more difficult.

”What on earth has happened? Why can’t Kadi just peacefully stay here?” Igor muttered to himself, as if speaking aloud would make him feel better.

Thinking about something is one thing, experiencing it is another. Just as Igor now couldn’t understand why Kadi would suddenly disappear, but if he were Kadi, he might not think this way. He ventured out for almost a whole day, leaving Kadi alone in this shabby cabin munching on dry rations, such a significant difference in treatment. If it were Igor, staying in this broken cow shed for a day would be impossible; he estimated he’d have jumped up long ago!

Yet speaking about this now is pointless; Igor was still fretting over finding Kadi and pondering deeply, with no room for swapping perspectives for the moment.

Continuing like this wouldn’t work, but Igor couldn’t think of a good solution, leaving him feeling uncomfortable.

”His method, his method is just causing chaos!” Igor suddenly recalled Kadi’s specialty!

It’s not easy, but finally, Igor remembered what Kadi was best at.

Yes, Kadi was best at causing chaos, evident during the battle on Guru Mountain with the Dark Wizard Reed, where Kadi fully utilized his specialty, disrupting others and allowing everyone to break free from the Dark Wizard’s Inner World control. Reflecting on this made Igor feel slightly excited. After all, when Kadi was serious, he was indeed quite intriguing.

It seems something significant is going to happen, hopefully not escalating to disaster level.

Igor looked around; he finally had a bit of a clue now.

Although this method might be unreliable, it truly matched Kadi’s style, and if this continues, Kadi will surely create a commotion around this area; otherwise, how would he send his notification?

Igor quickly expanded his spirit power again, ready to use the detection skill taught by Jemma. Only in this way could he discover abnormal occurrences in the surroundings.

As long as there are abnormal events, it would definitely relate to Kadi; no need to think about it. He just needs to head in that direction!

Igor was worried that his detection range wouldn’t reach where Kadi might be hiding, but before this thought fully occupied his mind, he was shocked by what he sensed.

Igor ”saw” fierce flames burning not far away. The fire appeared as if a ball of flame had fallen from the sky, accurately hitting a small-scale horse caravan...

The location was on Gaga County nearby, and it was evident the caravan hadn’t had time to tether their horses at the inn’s stable before being struck!

Without saying another word, Igor quickly headed in that direction; he knew Kadi would certainly be around there.

Kadi is indeed a peculiar existence, unable to perceive the spirit power from him, rendering the hunter’s tracking skills sometimes ineffective on him. Why say sometimes? Because at other times, Kadi is entirely filled with spirit power...

For now, Igor couldn’t care less about the peculiar traits of Kadi. The priority was to reach the site quickly and see what exactly happened. Kadi might be there or might not; only after reaching the site could he ascertain.

Because Igor trained on Guru Mountain with Simon and Meslo among others, his steps are now completely different from before. Although not as swift as Meslo’s leopard-like speed, nor as devilishly paced as Simon, Igor’s steps now are peculiar, neither erratic nor drifting.

Soon Igor reached the site; the fire had been controlled, but many people were still drawn to it and watching.

”What are you looking at?” A big guy holding two buckets, his face all black, suggesting a fierce struggle against the fire just now.

”You should be thankful that strange fire didn’t burn your inn!” A tall and thin guy held a damaged box, evidently a remnant from the flames.

”Keep staring, and I’ll set you on fire!” A hooded man said grimly, his tone clearly not friendly.

Igor studied the crowd carefully; the team consisted of five people, besides the three who spoke earlier, there was an old man smoking a pipe and a woman remaining silent. After observing for a while, Igor concluded it was clear the silent woman was likely the team leader, the smoking old man was a scholar, and among the three speakers, the one playing with fire was a Flame Wizard, while the other two weren’t yet distinguishable as fighter or hunter.

However, Igor could distinctly feel the spirit power from these individuals matched the residual spirit power from the cow shed earlier.

”Off you go, nothing to see here!” The smoking old man began to disperse the crowd. Even without the old man’s words, the crowd would leave eventually, considering these individuals are adventurers with class, likely fierce and not ones to be provoked.

Igor also turned around, not wanting to confront these people, hearing locals muttering as he stepped away, as if commenting on the duration of peace before more strange people gathered here!

Clearly, the residents of Gaga County did not favor these individuals...

”The one with the sword!” Just as Igor was about to leave, he was called by the big guy among them, as there was no other sword-wearer around.

Igor turned back, puzzled, looking at the big guy: ”You calling me?”

”Nonsense, anyone else carrying a sword here?”

”What’s up?” Igor was curious about the big guy calling him.

”I think you don’t look like a local. So, how about helping us clean up this mess? I’ll give you a gold coin for it; how about it?”

Igor was taken aback; what kind of offer was this!
