One-Eyed Monster

The words of the Great Mentor made everyone realize that many things were not as they imagined.

Although the Alchemy Workshop and the Dark Cabinet have conducted a carpet strike on the Black Crow, they have not yet reached the higher-ups of Black Crow.

Black Crow has always been a mysterious organization. Even the people on Guru Mountain have never seen the real leaders of Black Crow.

The Wizard Reed sent to Guru Mountain by Willem is considered a high-ranking figure in Black Crow, but even Reed rarely meets Willem in person.

The mystery of Black Crow, from Willem himself to the entire organization, has always been a puzzling group.

”I knew Willem, but that was a long time ago when he was still a Soul Guardian substitute. After he defected, we never saw each other again, even though I always considered him my most important friend at that time.”

Estev and others were involved in the discussion. They are all on the same line now and need to share the entire situation.

”As a Soul Guardian, he must know a lot of secrets,” Kevin said. Since Xiso left, Kevin also changed significantly. Previously everyone thought of him as just a fast-moving swordsman, rough and simple-minded, but now everyone realizes that Kevin’s meticulousness rivals Xiso’s. Although he can’t be called the think tank of Guru Mountain, he manages various big and small matters smoothly.

”I always felt Willem was a genius, different from us. We are naturally obedient, but he has a rebellious spirit in his bones.”

”In the previous battle on Guru Mountain, I communicated with his avatar. He said they wanted to establish a Great Harmony World. At the time, I only thought Black Crow had big ambitions. Now, I think this ’they’ might not necessarily be Black Crow.” The Great Mentor reminisced.

”Either way, we are in the open while the enemy is in the dark. Many unknowns that we don’t understand, like the patterns of the Thorny Flower and the Double-headed Snake, pose complex problems,” analyzed the Sol Brothers.

”None of us can relax!”

”You’re right. That’s why I think Kadi and Igor must speed up with their special training. Your growth is also crucial!” Kevin said.

”Does this mean we have to train even more?” Kadi widened his eyes, staring at Kevin.

”That’s right, no one can slack off. The enemy can come anytime, so we can’t drop our guard!”

Igor looked at everyone with mixed feelings, unsure of what to say.

”Let’s organize what we know and don’t know and see if anyone has anything to add. Whether we admit it or not, the war has begun!”

Just as the Sol Brothers were speaking, there was a swoosh, and an arrow landed firmly in front of Igor.

The arrow stuck firmly in the ground, with a rolled-up piece of paper tied to its feathered tail, swaying with the arrow’s residual motion.

”What’s going on!” Kevin shouted.

”I don’t know!” Joseph immediately transformed into an eagle and flew into the sky.

Simon also took off running forward...everyone who could move started to move.

Jemma, with her night vision, looked around, ”No trace of the Hunter!”

”This arrow does not seem to be from an Adventurer,” said Yuga, picking up the arrow.

”No wonder I didn’t sense any Spirit Power approaching,” said Kuren.

”There was a noise earlier, and because there was no Spirit Power, I thought it was a beast or something and didn’t pay attention. It seems we must not be careless!” Meslo said.

”Arnold, can you jump back to before and check the situation?” Kevin asked the double-faced Arnold.

”I feel we don’t need to trace it back.” Arnold nodded toward the front.

They heard some rustling sounds ahead, and soon Simon came back carrying a person.

”Joseph is still circling to see if there are any others around!” Simon carefully put the person down from his shoulder.

”A regular mountain villager, a Non-Adventurer,” said Arnold, ”That’s exactly why no one noticed.”

”How could a regular mountain villager use a hunting bow to shoot at us?” Everyone was amazed, finding the situation unbelievable.

”Look at his eyes,” Simon took a deep breath. He had noticed many unusual things while carrying the villager.

”Why are his eyes so red? They’re a bit creepy!” said Igor, his first reaction was discomfort after seeing the villager’s eyes.

”He seems to be controlled, but I can’t see how,” said Kuren. After careful observation, he discovered the problem. The villager’s hands and feet were trembling, and his teeth clattered.

”The arrow was evidently meant to send a message. Let’s see what that paper roll says,” Meslo asked urgently.

The Sol Brothers took the arrow from Kevin’s hands and then carefully unrolled the paper,

”It seems to be a warning, but it’s unclear what the warning means.” Stan Sol furrowed his eyebrows.

”What does it say on there?”

”See for yourself.”

The small note was passed around, and everyone furrowed their brows after reading it.

This made Igor even more puzzled. What kind of message could make so many people furrow their brows? He had to take a good look.

When Igor got the note, he furrowed his brows too.

On the note was a smiley face, next to it, a cryptic line: ”Mind your own business.”

”The handwriting is so sloppy, it looks like the other party never intended to meet us face-to-face.”

”What does the smiley face mean then?”

”And how was this ordinary villager utilized?”

Many mysteries surfaced, causing everyone to frown.

Could this be another organization?

The controlled villager indicates someone has secretly infiltrated near Guru Mountain. What does this ’mind your own business’ on the note mean? Are they really warning us not to get involved in what’s occurring next?

However things unfold, it seems increasingly complicated.

”The other party seems very familiar with our defenses, sneaking in without a trace.” Kuren was clearly concerned about this intruder.

”No matter what their aim is, we can’t relax now!” Kevin said.

”But if they continue to control the villagers of Guru Village, what should we do then?”
