One-Eyed Monster

A colorful stone suddenly appeared in Igor’s hand, and he gradually transformed the stone.

Back then, when he was tinkering with the stone with Hustace, they just infused it with lightning, not realizing that the stone would undergo such a drastic change. Ordinary stone, due to lightning, turned into Rain Crystal Stones. Igor did not understand the stone’s value at the time and made a lot of them in one go... Later, when he went to Guru Mountain, this imitation stone caused quite a stir, most importantly showing that the stone could also become a means of attack.

After successfully transforming an imitation Rain Crystal Stone, Igor gradually began to transform another Rain Crystal Stone, now contemplating using these Rain Crystal Stones to make a big impact.

Once this stone is destroyed, it can release powerful thunder, a secret known only to Igor.

Lightning has no shape, no Spirit Power, and exists in an entirely unknown state. This hidden lightning within the stone is truly a covert weapon.

Suddenly, Igor thought to use this lightning to surprise attack the Soul Devourer Master.

Even if this attack may be ineffective, Igor believed it could still catch the Soul Devourer Master off guard, causing a brief pause, which is all Igor needed. With that moment, he can use the lightning to grab Sol’s attention and establish a dialogue with Sol.

Igor already held several transformed stones in his hand...

The Border Realm is different from the real world. Things transformed in the real world are merely illusions without any physical presence. However, in the Border Realm, everything transformed is a form of energy transformation. Consciousness controls these energies to turn them into illusions, making these illusions energy-wise identical to physical objects. This is remarkable, something that cannot occur in the real world.

Here, consciousness is everything. A strong consciousness can convert energy into complex things, but ultimately, everything complex becomes energy, eventually released in the form of energy. Just like the attacks from the Soul Devourer Master, ultimately they become bombardments of Energy Light Balls.

There is only one exception in this Border Realm: lightning. It does not transform into any form of energy and remains in its lightning form here, rampaging. This is an important reason why Sol stands out here. Sol’s attacks never deviate from lightning, which doesn’t cost him much energy. He can capture lightning and use it freely.

The uniqueness of lightning makes Igor’s plan feasible.

Since everything here is the result of consciousness-controlled transformations, someone as powerful as the Soul Devourer Master is familiar with energy composition from mere gestures. Hence, if lightning were energy-based, the Soul Devourer Master could discern it in the blink of an eye, defeating the element of surprise. Energy Balls would directly destroy the stones, then devour the stone-composing energy, and retaliate against Igor.

This energy variation is overly simple for the Soul Devourer Master.

Therefore, when Igor’s dozen or so stones were flung forward, the Soul Devourer Master was nonchalant, without a trace of worry.

It’s merely energy. No matter how much energy, it would behave like a child before him, becoming utterly docile despite any tantrum.

Therefore, these stones transformed from energy would ultimately revert to energy.

The Energy Balls rapidly engulfed the stones, like a pool of water swallowing them. The Soul Devourer Master still thought the youth, infused with the Agent of Destruction’s energy, was odd for producing such colorful stones. The stones were rather pretty but disappointingly ineffective...

Before the idea of ineffectiveness fully formed, the stones exploded furiously with a boom, and with a sizzle, transformed into streaks of lightning...

The lightning crackled as it flew toward the Soul Devourer Master, seemingly to completely entrap him.

The Soul Devourer Master was caught completely off guard, astonished by the lightning. Just as Igor anticipated, the lightning caused the Soul Devourer Master to pause.

This pause allowed Sol’s lightning ball to follow up, sizzle, hitting the Soul Devourer Master squarely.

The strike elicited cheers from the Resistors in unison, rejoicing in relief!

The brief pause gave the Resistors a chance to catch their breath. They immediately rallied, having gained experience from previously dealing with Energy Light Balls, now reorganizing to better handle the incoming Energy Balls.

This time, Igor’s plan had successfully come to fruition.

Igor, pleased to have gained Sol’s attention, swiftly released the Rain Crystal Stones with a wave of his hands, hoping the stones would communicate his message to Sol.

Sol, not a slow thinker, immediately caught the stones and hurled them at the Soul Devourer Master again.

This time, the Soul Devourer Master was wary, not blocking with Energy Balls, and instead began to evade, albeit awkwardly.

Taking advantage of this gap, Sol immediately approached Igor.

Igor cut to the chase: ”I want to unlock the lightning shackles on the Skeletal Knight. I plan to use the Spirit Binding Net!”

”Okay!” Sol agreed swiftly, escorting Igor to the Skeletal Knight while other Resistors fought to deliver the greatest blow to the Soul Devourer Master.

Though these blows might have no effect, they had to act, for only by doing so could they cover the leader and the youth’s other plans.

Since witnessing the youth’s attack, these Resistors placed complete trust in him. For thus far, only Sol the leader and this youth managed to truly hit the Soul Devourer Master!

Now, their role was to provide as much cover as possible. Though aware of their limited power, they intended to give everything they could. Even a small delay in the Soul Devourer Master’s actions was worth striving for.

The battle had long ensued, but they had always been suppressed. At this moment, they shouted loudly, undeterred even if their consciousness scattered.

Fight, Resistors, fight for the whole world!

Though they once felt such slogans were distant ideals, now they found them entirely apt.

Beyond this battle, to have the chance to shout slogans again, this fight needed to be won first!
