One-Eyed Monster

Igor looked at Sol and others, these Resistors had expressions of determination on their faces, without a trace of fear.

Such demeanor reminded Igor of the choices made by the creatures on Guru Mountain back then.

The same steadfastness, the same determination, the same readiness to go forward!

Perhaps this is the power of belief, a power that enables them to face such a formidable opponent without fear, allowing them to charge forward even knowing they might be defeated.

Belief, it is a very simple thing, this simple thing makes people strong, makes people brave. When one is lost, belief guides the way; when one is collapsing, belief gives strength to continue; when one is near despair, belief brings hope at just the right moment...

What your heart longs for becomes your motivation for action. The direction of the heart is your belief, it is the foundational component of will. Without belief, there is no will, no proactive behavior. Though belief seems simple, truly integrating belief with actions is not easy.

The Resistors’ belief is to stop these Soul Devourers from consuming their world.

To protect their world, they are willing to do anything.

Belief supports them, allowing them to stand firm against such a powerful opponent, without fear, without retreat.

Igor’s surroundings were filled with a black mass of Soul Devourers. Their speed was not fast, but this slow speed was oppressively suffocating. The enemies they were about to face were slowly approaching, these enemies moved in orderly steps, seemingly in total control of the situation, as if they were here to reap.

”Abandon futile resistance and join me, sparing yourselves much pain.” The Soul Devourer Master still did not give up, showing utmost courtesy to Igor and others, truly valuing talent, though he would never admit this.

”We will not join you, we are of different species.” Sol said firmly.

”That’s regrettable.” The Soul Devourer Master waved, and several Energy Balls flew directly at Sol.

”Protect the leader!” The Mos Brothers shouted, then resolutely charged in front of Sol, using their weapons to block these Energy Balls.

Those Energy Balls could not harm Sol, but the Mos Brothers still rushed in front to protect him, which somewhat indicated the unfavorable situation for the Resistors.

The black mass of Soul Devourers had already surrounded them. These Soul Devourers were generally either Intermediate Rank or High Rank, their strength goes without saying.

In such oppressive circumstances, how many people would not be nervous? The behavior of the Mos Brothers was quite normal.

The enemies’ advantage was so great that even the Soul Devourer Master was somewhat numb, without ordering an attack at that moment...

It seemed he wanted to use this oppressive feeling to compel these few Resistors to surrender.

But Resistors are Resistors after all, their belief supporting them not to fall, even facing such a powerful enemy, they still did not retreat a single step.

Sol never liked too much nonsense, he was not afraid at all, the leader of the Resistors was indeed a leader, without a word started the attack.

Lightning struck directly at that group of Soul Devourers in the air, with a thunderous bang, a large group of Soul Devourers had their consciousness shattered...

This lightning attack also set off their counteroffensive pace.

The Mos Brothers wielded their weapons and rushed directly among the Soul Devourers, swinging swords and smashing hammers, charging fiercely!

This attack also wiped out quite a few Soul Devourers...

Igor silently watched all this, Shana’s Tornado Whip swooshing loudly, each sound accompanied by a pile of Soul Devourers’ consciousness turning into dust.

Igor, full of passion, also followed this rhythm time and again, releasing Sword Qi.

The reason why this attack was so effective was because this opponent simply did not fight back, completely taking a beaten posture.

The only reason for such a situation was that it was the Soul Devourer Master’s deliberate doing, but why was this? Why would he lose so many Soul Devourers!

Moreover, during this time, the Soul Devourer Master had not released Energy Light Balls; indeed, what was he doing?

This was a difficult situation to explain, but it did not reverse the current advantage of the Soul Devourer Master. Even though a large group of Soul Devourers had their consciousness shattered by the Resistors, their surroundings were still a pressing black mass...

”This is just the beginning!” The Soul Devourer Master snapped his fingers, and those Soul Devourers began to move.

”Darn it!” Igor found that no matter how he released Sword Qi, the Soul Devourers could dodge.

Not only him, but the Mos Brothers and Shana’s attacks were now all ineffective!

What was going on, standing still and taking hits earlier was it really deliberate? Was it merely to grasp our attack pattern? Igor kept thinking, the more he thought about it, the more he felt this Soul Devourer Master was vile.

Even though these Soul Devourers were all despicable, they should not be made experimental subjects by their own kind.

But Igor could not teach this scoundrel a lesson now because they were completely at a disadvantage!

Earlier, full of sway, constantly scattering Soul Devourers’ consciousness, but now it’s completely reversed. They had to continuously avoid these Soul Devourer attacks, and a vast number of Soul Devourers kept attacking them, giving them a feeling of inevitable doom.

However, it was not over yet. The Soul Devourer Master raised his hands where he stood, and then the Soul Devourers scattered by Igor before stood up again as if they were never destroyed.

This... Igor felt speechless, this Infinite Resurrection skill applied to these minor minions was simply unreasonable!

The disadvantage was too great, there were just a few of them here; how could they handle so many Soul Devourers...

Sssssss——

Just when Igor felt a bit helpless, suddenly a sound came from mid-air, seemingly the sound of Lightning...

Igor and others looked up, and were instantly dumbfounded.

In the mid-air floated countless Thunder, the Thunders resembled small birds, flapping their wings continuously...

Sol stood still, the Thunder protective gear on his body shielding him from the Soul Devourers, while his surroundings were densely packed with Thunderbirds.

”Myriads of Thunder Birds!” Sol slowly raised his arm, then swung it with force!

The Myriads of Thunder Birds swiftly surrounded the Soul Devourers, speeding towards them!
