Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 33: Chapter 27: Chicken Bro’s Exclusive Enhancement (Double-Length Chapter)

Inside, there were a series of different scenes playing out, as if these were the dreams they were having.

Seeing this scene, Naoki was a little surprised.

”Is this the effect of Sweet Dreams?”

At this moment, Naoki suddenly remembered that there seemed to be a similar feature in a game.

That dish also made his little characters dream, and as a player and creator, he was also able to see the characters’ dreams through the screen.

This function could deepen players’ understanding of the little characters they cultivated, encouraging them to invest more emotions in these two-dimensional characters, spending money to buy various tools for their use, thereby creating more profit for the company.

So, as the creator of the recipe, he could also see the dreams of the Pokémon.

Naoki was a bit curious, and while drying his hair, he began to watch the dreams of several Pokémon.

Koraidon’s dream was very simple.

The background of the dream was a sky, with the long whiskers on Koraidon’s head spreading out and transforming into wings, carrying him soaring in the sky.

There were no other Pokémon there, just the two of them in the boundless sky.

In the dream, Koraidon looked very happy, carrying Naoki and flying repeatedly, as if this was the happiest thing for him.

Naoki watched this scene amusedly, thinking that even though they’d only known each other for less than a month, Koraidon almost saw him as the entire world.

Gently reaching out to stroke the head of the sleeping Koraidon, Naoki didn’t wake him up and turned his head to look at Cyclizar next to him.

The background of Cyclizar’s dream hadn’t developed into the sky; it remained in this small wooden house.

However, it seemed that it was winter.

It was snowing outside, and a thick layer of snow covered the roof and windowsill.

Inside the house, a roaring fire burned in the fireplace, with a thick carpet spread on the wooden floor, and a few books laid on the carpet.

Naoki sat on the carpet reading, with Cyclizar lying behind him serving as a cushion, dozing with his eyes closed.

He looked peaceful, without any worries or sorrow.

Looking at this scene, Naoki thought, ”Is this what Cyclizar wants to see the most?”

That’s quite simple.

When winter comes, he could help Cyclizar fulfill this wish.

Naoki then went to the windowsill.

Smoliv was curled up sleeping in a flowerpot, her dream background was out in the ranch.

In the dream, she had already evolved into Arboliva, gently providing Naoki with the rich and delicious oil she made.

Because Naoki was good to her, not only making her good food, but also reserving the best spot in the room for her, and even specifically finding a flowerpot for her to live in.

Smoliv liked this rancher a lot, so she wanted to evolve into Arboliva, working hard to produce more oil for him.

Seeing this scene, it’s impossible not to feel touched.

Pokémon are very simple; if you treat them well, they will treat you well in return.

Naoki was filled with emotion, reaching out to touch Smoliv before coming to the cupboard, opening the top door to see Alcremie’s dream.

The background of Alcremie’s dream was a kitchen.

In Alcremie’s dream, he seemed to have become a Sweet Dessert Master.

In the dream, Alcremie was preparing desserts with him, providing fresh cream while he made the desserts.

In just a few minutes, they produced all kinds of cream cakes, cream pies, cream puddings, and fresh fruit milk.

These desserts filled every corner of the room, enveloping them within.

Alcremie happily swam in the ocean of desserts.

The background kept changing, and they fell from the kitchen into a land made of various desserts and chocolates.

Alcremie leisurely lounged on a giant fruitcake, bathing in the sunlight.

And in the dream, he was like a big fool, voraciously eating the gigantic desserts around him.

Naoki: ”...”

Could it be that Alcremie wanted to subconsciously share his produced fresh cream for him to taste?

But the scene in the dream was really terrifying.

If he really indulged like that, he’d probably have diabetes in less than a month.

”...”

Having witnessed the effect of the fruit cream cake, Naoki gained an initial understanding of it.

And this was only the lowest level, lv1; what would happen if it reached lv3?

Naoki couldn’t imagine.

————

Lying in bed, Naoki’s mind replayed what had just happened.

Clearly, for these Pokémon, he had suddenly entered this world and had already become an indispensable part of their hearts.

Naoki took a deep breath.

At this moment, the confusion he had when he first arrived in this world was gone, replaced by a new motivation.

Not just managing the ranch with a carefree gaming attitude, but truly for his Pokémon companions to have a better life, and for his own newfound life.

He wanted to work hard to run the ranch and build a home for them!

Naoki’s heart was full of energy.

Early the next morning, he got up early to go feed the chickens in the Chicken House.

Overnight, three various-sized eggs appeared on the ground of the Chicken House.

Naoki picked them up and stored them before starting to add water to the basin and sprinkle feed into the feeder.

The so-called chicken feed was actually a mix of various grains, shaped a bit like cat food.

Looking at the feed in his hand, Naoki had a thought, suddenly remembering the Steamed Green Grass and Spicy Iron Block he had tossed out before.

The question arose: could the chicken feed be processed the same way?

Though a human, Naoki thought his thinking shouldn’t be limited to ingredients edible by humans; he should open his mind and try making dishes with other things.

With this thought, Naoki grabbed a handful of chicken feed and took it back to the wooden house.

He stared at the feed in the bowl, lost in thought.

What method should he use to prepare it?

Should it be steamed, boiled, fried, or stir-fried...?

Chickens are omnivores; whether it’s vegetables, grains, or meat, they accept it all.

Naoki thought these processes were no different from melting store-bought chocolate and pouring it into his mold to cool and shape.

”Anyway, let’s try it first!”

With this in mind, Naoki set a pot to boil water, preparing to try steaming the chicken feed.

Composed of grains, steaming the feed too long would make it fall apart, so Naoki steamed it for only three minutes before taking it off the pot.

The steamed chicken feed was a bit soft and mushy, and as the steam rose, Naoki smelled a grain aroma, but from the appearance, it looked completely like a dark dish.

Looking down, the relevant information emerged.

[Steamed Chicken Feed (F): An unappraisable dish, not suitable for human consumption, perhaps some other creatures might like it.

Cooking Effect: Egg explosion. When given to roosters, it accelerates the fertilization of eggs. When given to hens, it can produce a large number of eggs in a short time.

But after laying eggs, hens enter a 15-day cooldown period during which they can no longer lay eggs or consume this dish, requiring a large amount of food to replenish energy.

Evaluation: A work of wild imagination!]

Poof!

Whoa!

It actually works?!

Naoki was extremely shocked.

Eager to see the effect, he took it to the Chicken House.

Koraidon and Cyclizar also followed along like little tails.

Naoki casually selected a hen and placed the soft and mushy steamed chicken feed in front of it.

The hen tilted its head to look down before eating it.

One second, two seconds, three seconds, on the fifth second, the hen suddenly flapped its wings and took flight on the spot.

With wide-open eyes, it swiftly ran to a patch of dry grass, exerting all muscles from top to bottom at once.

”Cluck cluck!”

Soon after, with a loud crow, a round egg rolled out from behind the hen.

Then another, one after another like a seed machine gun crazily falling onto the dry grass.

Naoki, Cyclizar, and Koraidon all stared at this scene, dumbfounded.

This crazy egg-laying lasted about a minute, and with the fall of the last egg, the hen showed a relieved expression, like a constipated human who finally found relief.

Exhausted, it flapped its wings and ran to the side.

Meanwhile, the pile of dry grass was now filled with a mountain of eggs.
