Chapter 4: Chapter 3: Hot Soup Noodles

As the most basic dish, clear soup noodle is very simple to make.

Boil water in a pot until it boils, then add instant noodles.

If the ingredients are sufficient, Naoki would add chopped green onions and lard to let the noodles absorb the soup. When the noodles are served in a bowl, the green onions float on top of the soup, adding a hint of green to the dish, making it more appetizing.

Finally, a drop of sesame oil is added, and a soft-boiled egg that was prepared in advance is put in. When pierced with chopsticks, the golden yolk slowly flows out and blends with the noodle soup.

Just thinking about it makes Naoki salivate.

However, returning to reality, only the basic seasonings were in front of him.

Sighing silently in his heart, Naoki learned from yesterday’s lesson and added a suitable amount of salt and chicken powder into the pot.

Soon, a simple bowl of soup noodles was ready.

Naoki served two bowls, and as he picked them up, he looked down, and the information about the soup noodles appeared in his mind.

[Hot Soup Noodles (C-): A low-grade dish, slightly lacking in flavor due to missing key ingredients but a good choice for warming the stomach on a cold winter’s day.

Cooking Effect: Cold Resistance lv1, with a resistance effect to endure severe cold, making the body warm after drinking, duration 30 minutes.

Evaluation: Although the quality of the ingredients is low, the skilled cooking technique gives it a touch of unique flavor, and when players become wealthy and can cook master-level dishes in the future, they may recall these days fondly.]

Naoki: ”...”

At this time, Cyclizar sniffed the scent wafting through the air.

”Raaaw?”

Naoki looked at it, then brought the two bowls to the table, inviting Cyclizar: ”Want to try it?”

”Raaaw...”

Cyclizar wrinkled its brow uneasily. To be honest, as a Cyclizar, it wasn’t very fond of that smell.

Moreover, apart from the plain white noodles, there was nothing else in the bowl, making the dish seem unappealing from the outside.

Seeing this, Naoki immediately understood Cyclizar’s thoughts, sighed helplessly in his heart, didn’t insist, and instead comforted: ”Forget it, if you don’t want to eat, then don’t!”

Saying this, he animatedly fantasized: ”When I make money later and buy other ingredients, I’ll make you the food you like!”

Naoki was filled with anticipation for the upcoming ranch life.

Hearing this, Cyclizar felt guilty instead.

This was the food specially prepared for it by its new owner. Wasn’t it not so great if it didn’t at least try the taste?

Thinking about this, Cyclizar lowered its head to look at the soup noodles in front of it, hesitated, and said: ”Raaaw!”

Then it decided to eat this bowl of noodles!

Cyclizar stretched out its two chubby paws, picked up the hot soup noodles in front of it, and gulped them down.

The imagined bad situation did not occur. The taste of the noodles was quite plain but, after drinking it, Cyclizar instantly felt its body warm up as if it had returned to its mother’s embrace.

”Raaaw...”

Seeing Cyclizar’s sudden action, Naoki was first slightly surprised but then quickly calmed down.

Looking at Cyclizar, thinking of the effect of the hot soup noodles, he asked with a smile: ”How does it feel?”

Hearing Naoki’s voice, Cyclizar snapped back to reality: ”Raaaw!”

Then it confusedly lowered its head, looking at its own body.

Clearly, no human was riding on its back, so why did it suddenly feel warm?

Seeing its action, Naoki suddenly got a general idea in his heart.

”It seems that the dish indeed brings benefits to the Pokemon.”

Naoki thought, he continued to ask: ”Did you feel your body getting warmer, not as cold as before?”

Although it was spring, the temperature hadn’t fully risen yet, especially in the morning, it was still chilly.

Cyclizar raised its head in surprise, looking over, as if saying: How did you know?

”Raaaw?”

Naoki laughed: ”That’s the power of food.”

”Raaaw...”

Cyclizar looked puzzled; this statement was too advanced for it.

Because it’s just a Cyclizar.

Naoki did not continue to explain, anyway, living together in the future, Cyclizar would understand sooner or later.

Having confirmed that his dish had effects on Pokemon, Naoki was in a great mood, quickly finished his breakfast, cleaned the dishes, and then walked out of the cabin to the outside.

The overgrown ranch was full of lush vegetation, and above, from time to time, a bird-type Pokemon flew overhead, out to forage.

Breathing in the fresh air around, Naoki took a deep breath and then prepared to take a walk around.

He intended to first become familiar with the place.

Walking through the ranch with Cyclizar, Naoki found that the size of this ranch was larger than he had imagined.

The edge of the ranch was surrounded by wooden fences, and the middle area was very large, with a thriving valley on the east side, and standing in the middle of the ranch, one could hear the growl of wild Pokemon coming from there.

The farmland area occupied one-third of the ranch, the southwest corner had a lake with a surrounding river, and there was a wooden bridge over the river connecting the ranch to the opposite bank.

Naoki stood on the bridge, looking at the decayed and broken wooden fence along the riverbank, thinking that he had a lot of work to do.

Clearing weeds, rocks, cutting down excess trees, and re-cultivating land to prepare for planting.

As for the Pokemon House meant for raising Miltank, Naoki didn’t plan to repair it now.

First, there wasn’t enough wood, and secondly, he lacked the funds.

After all, whether rebuilding the Pokemon House or purchasing Miltank and those Pokemon required a considerable amount of funds.

Standing by the lake at the edge of the farmland, Naoki squatted down, observing the scale and depth of the lake, thinking: ”Raising fish here would be a very good choice.”

According to the original owner’s memory, besides Pokemon, this world also had ordinary animals.

However, instead of regular fish, Naoki wanted to raise some Water Type Pokemon.

Like Magikarp, Goldeen, Feebas, and Marshtomp, for example.

Or even bolder, like Gyarados, Milotic, Vaporeon, Primarina.

Although these fish can’t be eaten, maybe because of the obsession of being a collecting player, just keeping them here and watching them made Naoki very satisfied.

Naoki organized these matters in his mind and realized there were many, many things waiting for him to do.

Far from things that could be completed in a short time.

Thinking of those ranch management games he used to play, Naoki was momentarily speechless.

He had just escaped the 996 (work schedule), was he going to 007 now?
