Chapter 128: Everyone arrived at the Overlord sect

Ethan now knew more or less about this universe.

As soon as Melissa left, Ethan felt several powerful auras coming toward the Overlord Sect from different directions.

”So the upper echelon of this world has finally decided to answer the summon. Let’s see,” Ethan murmured.

He was grouping people based on different power levels.

Among them, three persons were radiating around a 1000 Sun level of power.

”Didn’t Melissa say that only Mayahana realm cultivators could be found here, and anything above that needed to be achieved in the upper realm? Are those guys from the upper realm?” Ethan thought in his mind.

The aura was too overwhelming. The elders and disciples soon also discovered that some powerful auras were approaching.

In the flying vessel of the Heavenly Fate Sect, three persons were present. One stunning young woman clad in a purple robe, a handsome young man in a black robe, and Elder Klein.

Klein was too calm. He was looking into the distance, as if contemplating something deeply.

The girl’s name was Lily, a holy daughter of the sect. She came behind Elder Klein, a fanatic look on her face. Clearly, she was obsessed with this man, as Elder Klein was only in his early thirties.

She said in a soft voice, ”Mr. Klein, do you think we will find something valuable from this trip?”

Klein didn’t look at her. He replied in a calm manner, ”Who knows? We can only hope for the best outcome.”

Soon, the young man also joined the conversation. His name was Damien. He was the top holy son of the sect and also the next candidate for the Sect Master position.

When he heard that Elder Klein was taking two disciples on this tour, he voluntarily joined him. Damien was interested in the news too. He had heard about demons before, and now that someone had allegedly killed one, he wanted to see the person in question, even if it turned out to be a lie.

Damien said,”I still think this is just a rumour spread by that sect for some fame.”

Klein just smiled but didn’t reply.

In the flying vessel of the Flame Dragon Sect, another top sect of the Central Continent, two women and one young man were present. One woman was an elder; she radiated the aura of 1000 Sun level power. The young woman wore a bright red robe with the emblem of a dragon. The young man was wearing a white robe.

The older woman, Elder Anna, looked at the girl beside her and said, ”Ema, I am sure many sects will send their young prodigies on this excursion. Even if the news is a lie, you will be able to meet many top prodigies. As the future Sect Master, you should build connections all over the world. You understand what I am trying to say, right?”

Ema nodded. ”I understand, Elder Anna.”

The young man on the side had a flattering look on his face. He was Varian, one of the holy sons of the Flame Dragon Sect.

He said, ”Elder Sister will be the bright star among all the prodigies who will go there. I am sure she won’t need to introduce herself. They will come to her like moths to a flame.”

Anna and Ema didn’t reply. They naturally disliked this personality-less person. He was a holy son only because his uncle was an elder in the sect.

But nobody knew Varian wasn’t the person they thought he was. He had a very dark secret. He was the incarnation of Asmodius, one of the Seven Cardinal Sin Demons.

At this moment, though he had a fawning smile on his face, he was laughing nastily in his mind.

”Hahahaha. Damn that Beelzebub. What a sucker. He came down a little while ago and already died. The coffin of the Ancestor will definitely belong to me.”

He knew very well that the news was true. He only came here because he wanted to kill the person who had killed Beelzebub’s clone, as that person might interfere with his plan in the future.

He would go along with others and find a chance to sneak attack.

Asmodius was the demon of the Cardinal Sin of Sloth.

He had sent this incarnation of his years ago. Then he killed the real Damien and took his place.

He was gathering information about where he might find the coffin of the Ancestor, and he had a rough idea of where it might be.

”The Forbidden Zone.”

But this made everything even more complicated. The Forbidden Zone was the only place where even his main body couldn’t go in and take whatever he wanted. That ancient entity lived there.

As for why the Demon Realm was so sure that their Ancestor’s body was still intact after billions of years, it was because of his Lifebound Sword.

His Lifebound Sword was placed in the Demon Realm as a guardian weapon. The Ancestor had sent it back to the Demon Realm the moment he felt danger, and the Lifebound Sword should have been destroyed if his entire existence in this world had vanished. But it didn’t.

So the very existence of that sword proved that either the corpse of the Ancestor was still preserved or he might still be alive.

The second option was out of the question. They all knew what had happened back then, so the only reasonable conclusion was that the corpse was still preserved there.

So Asmodius was waiting for the perfect time to venture into the Forbidden Zone, and he knew soon he would get that chance.

But two months ago, he had felt the presence of the incarnation of Beelzebub here. He became a little tense, but then he thought maybe they could work together to get the corpse and share it, as the task was highly risky.

But yesterday, he felt the incarnation of Beelzebub was gone from this world. As for why Beelzebub couldn’t feel his presence, it was because he was living inside the grand array of the Flame Dragon Sect. This array was a product of the Upper Immortal Realm.

Now Asmodius wanted to kill that variable who had appeared out of nowhere.

Around 50 sects sent their envoys to verify the news. No sect was foolish enough not to send someone.

Soon, everyone reached the periphery of the Overlord Sect and could see each other.

Fifty or more grand flying vessels were floating in the air. They were waiting for the people of the Overlord sect to come out and let them enter.

An old man looked toward the vessel of the Flame Dragon Sect and said softly, ”That old hag really came personally, huh?”

Elder Anna heard that and looked at the old man like she wanted to swallow him alive.

She snorted coldly, ”Why can’t I come when an old bastard like you have come?”

The old man, who also had a similar aura to 1000 Suns, instantly turned red with anger. He was just about to reply venomously when another mocking voice could be heard from another flying vessel.

”Two old kids are having fun, I see.”

It was a middle-aged man, but his aura was even stronger than these two. Both of them stopped bickering and saw everyone looking at them in an awkward silence.

They felt a little embarrassed, but not much.

Soon, Zerelith and other elders of the Overlord Sect came out from the sect and greeted politely,

”I am Zerelith, the 2nd Ancestor of the Overlord sect. I welcome all the guests to our humble sect.”
