I Return From Hell

Chapter 154: Chapter 147: Taboo 3

She found nothing.

But the feeling was deeply unsettling.

”Red Sister.”

The fashionable girl, feeling a little scared, called out.

”Hmm?”

”What’s wrong?”

Red Sister asked.

”Um... do you feel like there’s someone else in the room?”

the fashionable girl asked.

”What nonsense are you spouting... it’s the absolute truth.”

Red Sister said.

???

The fashionable girl breathed a sigh of relief and said, ”Oh, so there is someone else in your room, Red Sister. Why don’t you let her come out?”

Red Sister sounded very confused. ”Who told you there was someone else in my room? Isn’t it just the two of us here?”

”Huh?!”

Hearing this, the fashionable girl shivered all over, her teeth chattering, and she stammered, ”Red Sister, this joke isn’t funny at all.”

”Who’s joking with you?”

Red Sister said, ”What’s gotten into you today? Why are you being so weird?”

Hearing Red Sister say this, the fashionable girl was on the verge of tears. ”Red Sister, you... weren’t you the one who said there was someone else in this room?”

Red Sister turned on her flashlight, shining it on the fashionable girl’s pale face. ”Are you okay? Why is your face so white? Also, I never said there was anyone else in the room.”

”Then why did you say it in such a creepy way?”

Uh.

’Wait, it seems like Red Sister really didn’t say there was anyone else in the room.’

’Was I just imagining things?’

When she focused, the feeling of being watched had vanished.

The fashionable girl shielded her eyes from the blinding white light, her mood calming slightly. She let out a small sigh of relief and said, ”Red Sister, the light is too bright.”

The light went out.

The feeling of being watched returned. It was strange and very uncomfortable.

However, maybe because Red Sister was by her side, or maybe because she thought it was just her imagination, the fashionable girl wasn’t as scared this time.

”Don’t be afraid.”

”I’m here.”

Red Sister’s voice rang out again, and she took the girl’s hand to comfort her.

This greatly reassured her.

”Red Sister, your hand is so cold.”

”My hand is cold? No, it’s not. Wait, how do you know if my hand is cold or not?”

”Aren’t you holding...”

The fashionable girl had just started speaking when her brow suddenly furrowed.

Aside from Red Sister’s strange refusal to acknowledge what was happening, she also realized something else: Red Sister’s hand seemed a little small.

The fashionable girl’s hands were already smaller than other women’s, a fact her previous boyfriends could attest to.

’But Red Sister’s hand is even smaller than mine?’

”That’s not right.”

’I remember Red Sister’s hands being pretty big.’

’We’ve never held hands, but we’ve eaten together. I’ve seen her hands, and they’re definitely not this small.’

’Could it not be her hand?’

At this thought, the fashionable girl’s face changed drastically, and she tried frantically to shake off the small hand gripping hers.

But no matter how hard she shook, she couldn’t get it off.

Even more bizarrely, Red Sister didn’t move at all and asked strangely, ”What are you doing?”

”Red Sister, you... there’s someone in your room! It’s grabbing my hand and won’t let go!” she sobbed.

The fashionable girl burst into tears from anxiety.

”???”

Red Sister was completely bewildered. ”What nonsense are you spouting...”

”The absolute truth.”

”!!!”

The fashionable girl was completely terrified and turned to run.

But just as she tried to run, her ankle was also grabbed, rendering her immobile.

”Ah!”

She screamed.

CLICK.

The flashlight turned on.

The room lit up.

The feeling of being grabbed on her wrist and ankle vanished instantly. The fashionable girl looked down and saw strange, purplish-blue fingerprints where her hand had been held.

Five of them!

”What happened to your hand?”

Red Sister finally realized something was wrong and subconsciously moved closer.

”Don’t come any closer! Stay away!”

The fashionable girl backed away in terror, accidentally tripping and falling to the ground, but she still tried to get away from Red Sister.

But she had barely retreated a meter before she bumped into the edge of the bed and her hand touched something...

A hand!

That small hand!

”AHH!”

The fashionable girl’s face was filled with horror, her scream trembling with fear.

She looked back.

She saw a little boy. His face was pale, but it was covered in bizarre cracks. Yes, cracks, and inside them, blood swirled as if it could bubble out at any moment. His eyes were black as ink—no, he had no eyes. His sockets were empty, hollow pits. His body was tiny.

His head and upper body were out, while his lower body was under the bed, as if he was stuck trying to get out.

The strangest part was, the spot where he seemed to be stuck was only a few centimeters off the floor!

’How did his upper body even get out?’

THUD.

Fear exploded in her mind.

The fashionable girl fainted on the spot, her head hitting the ground hard.

”What’s wrong with you?”

Red Sister was startled and rushed forward. ”Don’t scare me.”

”This isn’t fun. Not fun at all.”

”She actually fainted from fright.”

The little boy squeezed out from under the bed bit by bit, saying with disappointment, ”Whatever. I’ll go play in the next room.”

It turned and left, passing right through the wall into Xia Yu’s room.

And the whole time, Red Sister neither saw nor heard it.

...

...

「Room 206.」

This was originally Xia Yu’s room, but right now, Xia Hongwei was here instead.

When the Mist Event broke out, he didn’t know what was happening. He just felt extremely uncomfortable, like he couldn’t breathe.

He thought he was sick and took out his phone to call for an ambulance, but he found there was no signal. His only choice was to push open the door and call for help.

But he couldn’t make a sound, no matter how he tried, so he could only knock on Xia Yu’s door next to his.

But...

The door pushed right open.

’Where is she?’

Xia Hongwei was bewildered. At that moment, people started coming out into the hallway one after another. Soon, someone noticed him and asked if he was okay.

Even stranger,

the previous feeling of breathlessness gradually disappeared. Instead, he felt refreshed and full of endless energy.

”ROAR.”

”Someone’s killing people!”

Immediately after, the Mutants began their slaughter.

The scene was bloody and incredibly shocking.

Xia Hongwei’s face went white with fear. He shoved aside the person who had just shown him concern, ducked into Xia Yu’s room, and slammed the door shut.

”Open the door! Help me!”

Knocking hammered on the door. It was the same person who had just shown him concern. ”Even if I turn into a ghost, I’ll never forgive you! Never!”

”AHH!”

A heart-wrenching scream rang out.

The chaos outside the door continued.

Xia Hongwei was utterly terrified, cowering in a corner of the bathroom.

Only then did he feel a sliver of security.

He didn’t know how much time had passed.

The hallway fell silent.

Only the occasional roars indicated that the danger was still present.

Suddenly,

the bathroom door opened.

Xia Hongwei jolted, clamping his hand over his mouth in terror. But he couldn’t see anything in the darkness.

Footsteps sounded.

They stopped near the toilet, and then...

”SPLASH.”

The sound of flowing water came from the toilet.

???

’Is Xia Yu using the toilet?’

Xia Hongwei’s eyes widened. His fear faded slightly, replaced by a certain emotion all men would understand—especially when he pictured Xia Yu’s sultry figure.

His mind immediately started to paint a picture.

’Xia Yu must have been fast asleep and forgot to lock the door.’

’I didn’t make much noise when I came in, so she didn’t hear me.’

’That’s why she’s groggily using the toilet right now.’

’This... my reasoning is flawless!’

He had no time to ponder any flaws in his deduction; he just felt a heat in his lower abdomen and his mouth went dry.

The sound of flowing water from the toilet was enough to make him burn with anticipation.
