I’m really just an NPC

Chapter 6 Sister Murphy

Chapter 6 Sister Murphy
”Oh! Why did I suddenly have such an awesome older sister...” After being dazed for a while, Lin Fan sighed, filled another bowl of broth, and chewed vigorously with a mouse leg by the way.

Murphy, No. 2 on the ”Rise of the Wasteland” NPC Character List (Seablue Star District), and No.[-] on the NPC Beauty List (Seablue Star District).

Shine brilliantly in version 1.0 ”Rise of the Wasteland” and version 2.0 ”Law Shock”, messing up the entire Seablue Star.

Whether it is players, monsters, or NPC forces, they are all made miserable by her.

The glorious victories are as follows, ”the gangster organization disappeared”, ”killed [-] players”, ”destroyed the consortium alliance” and so on.

The most important thing is that among these glorious victories, Murphy was in the same group as those organizations that were wiped out...

Of course, her enemies did not end well either, suffering heavy losses, and she was the only one who could always be alive and kicking.

In a word, wherever Murphy goes, this woman is a sinkhole!
By the way, now that Lin Fan knows what happened to Murphy when he was a child, his glorious record has to be added to a series of incidents such as ”both parents died”, ”the village was destroyed”, ”killing his adoptive father”, ”killing his younger brother”...

Of course, now that Lin Fan has replaced ”Lin Fan”, the younger brother who killed him became an attempted death—and then Lin Fan became Murphy’s younger brother.

The kind that is very close, the kind that two people slept under the same bed for eight years.

After all, there is only one bed in the room.

Although this sounds tempting, if given a choice, Lin Fan would say - I am a decent person, I don’t engage in orthopedics, please stay away from me!

”Sinkhole! With this kind of relationship, I won’t be killed by Murphy, right?” Murphy’s presence made Lin Fan a little flustered.

In the previous life, the player first discovered the character of Murphy in Rome, a city controlled by the bandit rebels.

Unexpectedly, Murphy was not a native of Rome, but a resident of an outer city in a city on the edge of the Wang Consortium.

”Fortunately, she disappeared. The wilderness is so dangerous, so it must be an accident?”

Of course, Lin Fan understood that Murphy couldn’t die, even if Seablue Star bombed her, she would definitely come back to find him.

She might be back in the next second.

”We must not let her find me!” Lin Fan made up his mind.

But the outer city at night is not safe, Lin Fan is now a level 0 useless, he dare not wander around at night.

”Then rest for the night today and leave here during the day tomorrow, hoping she won’t come back tonight.”

Lin Fan did not want to leave the city controlled by the Wang Consortium. He was not yet able to protect himself in the wilderness. What he meant was to move to another place in the outer city.

The outer city is very large, and there is a complete circle around the inner city, where 10,000+ people live.

As long as Lin Fan quietly moved to other places in the outer city, moved farther away, and kept a low profile, even if Murphy came back, he would not be able to find him so easily.

It would be even better if Murphy couldn’t come back soon. Lin Fan would have grown up and left this small place by then.

Goooooooo~
The things to be done tomorrow were arranged, Lin Fan quickly drank the broth, put out the fire, and lay down on the bed.

He was very tired from fighting Wang Dalong earlier and lost a lot of blood. He urgently needed a nap to recover.

The bed was very uncomfortable, incomparable to the soft big bed that Lin Fan was used to sleeping on. Lin Fan turned over, trying to find a comfortable position to fall asleep.

But as soon as he turned over, Lin Fan suddenly felt that there was something tight on his chest, and he stretched out his hand to pull it out.

【Murphy’s Necklace】

[Quality: Orange]

【Attributes:】

[1. After wearing it, the luck of creatures that are malicious to you will always become bad. 】

[2. After wearing it, you will always lose money inexplicably. 】

[Note: Identity binding, exclusive property of Lin Fan. 】

WTF?

Lin Fan paused, looking at the system prompts in disbelief, and quickly looked at the necklace in his hand.

The necklace looks unremarkable, with a thick rope strung with a thumb-sized wood carving, simple and unpretentious.

It looks familiar.

The origin of the necklace Lin Fan still remembered that the rope was brought back by Lin Fan when he was working in the factory, and the wood carving was carved by Murphy himself.

At that time, she said that she wanted to carve a fish, and imagined swimming in the water like a fish, unrestrained and free.

In the end, because she had never learned wood carving and was not very skilled, a fish was carved into a worm, the kind of long reptile that burrows around in the mud.

Just like ordinary people struggling to eat in the wasteland.

But Murphy insisted that it was a fish, and it was worn on his chest by a thread. After wearing it for several years, he was reluctant to take it off while sleeping, and sometimes it would hurt Lin Fan.

Yesterday morning, before going out hunting, Murphy put this necklace on Lin Fan’s neck.

”So, how can this thing be an orange outfit??”

Lin Fan looked at the system panel again in disbelief. It was undoubtedly an orange outfit, but it was identity-bound equipment, and it would only work if Lin Fan wore it, which greatly reduced its value.

Otherwise it would be worth tens of millions at auction!
Unlike weapons or armor, in ”Rise of the Wasteland”, accessories are not graded, only rarity, after all, no one will brandish a necklace or a ring to fight monsters.

Therefore, it is entirely possible for an accessory with excellent attributes to have an inconspicuous material, or even break when dropped.

But Lin Fan still couldn’t believe it when he looked at [Murphy’s Necklace] in his hand.

This is an orange outfit!

Lin Fan had played games for 15 years in his last life, and he had only seen orange accessories very few times. After entering the Xinghai version, I saw it at the high-end auctions of those high-civilized planets.

Each one is made with a lot of high-end technology and rare materials, plus enchanting or spiritual infusion.

How could it be a hand-carved ugly woodcarving on a shoddy thick thread...

Moreover, every attribute of the orange accessories that Lin Fan has seen is of the same type, and the list of attributes is a long list.

But [Murphy’s Necklace] only has two attributes,
[1. After wearing it, the luck of creatures that are malicious to you will always become bad. 】

[2. After wearing it, you will always lose money inexplicably. 】

And the second one is a side effect...

Is this also an orange outfit?

In ”Rise of the Wasteland”, attributes such as luck and charm are hidden attributes, because their values are not fixed and can change according to the environment and location at any time, so they are not displayed at all.

[Murphy’s Necklace] can actually affect other people’s luck. It has to be said that it is really powerful. In Lin Fan’s impression, such an unreasonable ability can only be achieved by legendary powers.

Thinking of this, Lin Fan’s face suddenly twitched.

In the previous life, many people speculated that Murphy, Queen of Misfortune, had awakened a power of doom, but it had never been confirmed.

But now Lin Fan has evidence!
The reason why this necklace is an orange item is definitely because of Murphy’s superpower.

In fact, the necklace itself is not the key, the key is Murphy’s concern for Lin Fan’s younger brother, which produced the attributes of the necklace.

Otherwise, it cannot explain the restriction of [Lin Fan Exclusive] in the necklace.

”Hey, it seems that Murphy, the God of Pit, never forgets my younger brother. She will definitely come to me.”

Lin Fan sighed and stuffed the necklace into his clothes.

Murphy was cheated, but the necklace was not cheated, but it was of great help to Lin Fan.

After understanding the properties of the necklace, Lin Fan suddenly understood something.

Tonight, the mutated mouse gnawed Wang Dalong’s egg, and another mutated mouse slightly stepped on the hunting trap at the door. It is very likely that this necklace played a role.

As for the side effects of the second attribute...

Lin Fan said that his money can be saved on the system panel and cannot be lost!

”Haha, this thing is quite suitable for me.”

Lin Fan was about to lie down and sleep again, but suddenly, by the moonlight, he saw a half-folded paper emerging from under the pillow.

Lin Fan reached out and pulled the paper out from under the pillow.

【You got ”Murphy’s Letter”】

Open the paper, there are lines of text on it
Lin Fan took out a lighter from the storage space for lighting and read carefully.

“Seeing the letter is like seeing me.

Lin Fan, I’m Murphy. When you read this letter, I’ve already left.

The consortium’s rule is too bad, and if you stay in the outer city for a lifetime, you will never have a day of success. And someone in the consortium has taken a fancy to me, I don’t want to be a plaything, so I can only leave.

In the morning, I asked you if you would like to go hunting with me. In fact, I was asking if you would like to go with me, but you still didn’t dare.I scolded you, here to apologize to you, sorry.

You don’t have to be sad and don’t worry about my safety, I have found an organization I can trust and they will take me to a new place where I can become rich and strong.

You live well, and when I come back to bring you happiness, I promised my father that I will let you live a good life.

If someone comes to look for me at home, just say that I went hunting and never came back. I may have died in the wilderness, and no one will make it difficult for you.

So be it. ”

Lin Fan’s father taught Murphy how to read and write. Although his literary talent is not very good, he can express clearly and write beautifully.

Lin Fan closed the letter paper and lit it with a lighter.

Seeing the letter paper turn into ashes little by little, Lin Fan smiled happily.

”Haha, Murphy should have gone to Huo Huoer and those gangsters, and he will never come back in a short time. I’m safe, and I don’t need to move tomorrow.”

Thinking of this, Lin Fan lay down on the bed with peace of mind, and fell asleep in a daze.
