Chapter 4 A female mouse was killed at the door of the house

Chapter 4 A female mouse was killed at the door of the house
Humph~
Lin Fan ran along the masonry road and didn’t stop until he entered the outer city. He turned his head and took a look: ”Huh~ God bless handsome guy, the mouse didn’t come after me.”

In order not to attract the attention of others, Lin Fan slowed down his pace, shuttled lightly through the outer city, and finally came to the door of his ”home”.

Looking at the dilapidated wooden door in front of him, Lin Fan suddenly felt dizzy and dizzy. A piece of memory emerged, and Lin Fan saw some scenes like watching a movie.

”Lin Fan, do you dare to go hunting with me?”

”I, I dare not. The wilderness is very dangerous. There are wolves. Dad was killed by wolves.”

”It’s dangerous in the wilderness, but it’s even more dangerous here! The strong are preying on the weak everywhere. If we don’t want to become rich and strong, we will only become the playthings and slaves of the rich in the end!”

”It’s not dangerous here. I go to work in the brick kiln every day. The money I earn can last me a day. I can buy several loaves of black bread. And sister, you can go hunting. Black bread dipped in broth is delicious.”

”You, why are you so useless!”

After a while, Lin Fan regained his sobriety.

”This woman is the elder sister of this body. I heard what Wang Dalong said just now. This woman went hunting in the wilderness and disappeared. It is probably a bad luck.”

Lin Fan’s thoughts wandered, and then he felt helpless,
”Sigh~ this memory is too piecemeal, I can’t see what this girl looks like, I don’t even know her name, if she suddenly comes back from the wilderness, wouldn’t I want to reveal my secrets?

Even if she can’t come back, the neighbors in the neighborhood will probably feel my abnormality after a long time. In the future, I should try to minimize contact with others, and upgrade quickly. At least I must become a quasi-warrior. With the ability to protect myself, find a chance to leave here quickly. . ”

squeak~
At this moment, a voice suddenly came from Lin Fan’s right side.

Lin Fan turned his head suddenly, and saw a mutated mouse at the corner of the wall five meters to the right at some point, looking at him with red eyes.

The mouse didn’t give Lin Fan more time to react, and rushed towards Lin Fan with its hooves on.

”Hey, it’s a mouse again!”

Lin Fan cursed secretly, his heart moved, and there was an extra stringed short crossbow in his hand.

He did not choose a pistol, because he was afraid that the sound of the gun would alarm the nearby neighbors and arouse suspicion.

But the short crossbow in Lin Fan’s hand was handmade and pieced together, with rough craftsmanship and limited accuracy. When shooting a stationary target, Lin Fan is [-]% sure of hitting it, but the probability of missing the target is not low when shooting a moving target.

Borrowing the moonlight, Lin Fan adjusted the posture of holding the crossbow, fixed his eyes on the mouse, and looked for the right time to attack.

Suddenly, the necklace on Lin Fan’s chest flickered, and the next moment, the mouse let out a scream and fell to the ground.

Lin Fan took a closer look, and saw an iron clamp clamping the mouse’s two hind legs so tightly that they were bleeding.

At the same time, a [-5] bright red prompt floated out of the mouse’s head.

squeak~
squeak~
The mouse struggled desperately, barking wildly.

swoosh~
Lin Fan pulled the trigger resolutely, and the flashing crossbow bolt flew out, piercing the cartilage of the mouse’s neck.

[You caused 28 points of damage to the mutant mouse. 】

[Based on your level, you have obtained the following information:]

[Mutated mouse (normal): level, 0; life, 0/33]

[Omitted]

[The mutated mouse is dead, you gain 1 experience points]

Lin Fan didn’t kill this mouse alone, so his experience was somewhat discounted.

Moreover, this mouse is obviously smaller than the mouse that Lin Fan killed before, and its level is only level 0, and its experience is even less, only a pitiful 1 point.

In ”Rise of the Wasteland”, monsters are divided into ordinary mutant beasts and monsters above level 10.

Monsters can be divided into F, E,..., A, S, SS, SSS, S-level and above monsters, just like the monsters in Ultraman, destroying a building or a mountain is easy, comparable to natural disasters.

Lin Fan stepped forward and lifted the mouse’s corpse up: ”This mouse is really unlucky, it happened to step on a hunting trap when it was charging.”

However, encountering mutant mice again and again made Lin Fan suspicious.

He stared at the mutated mouse’s red eyes carefully, recalled the big and small plots he had experienced when the game was first launched, and frowned: ”Could it be that a rat wave is going to break out here?”

Rat swarms are very dangerous. Even in the smallest rat swarm, the rat kings are all F-rank monsters. Lin Fan is not even a quasi-warrior now, and he is very likely to die when encountering a rat swarm.

Gollum~
hungry!
”Don’t worry about it, eat meat first. If there is a rat wave, the consortium in the inner city will not ignore it. Naturally, the F-level monsters will be dealt with by the consortium’s land fighters. I happen to have ordinary monsters to collect experience.”

Unable to resist the scorching heat in his stomach, Lin Fan pushed the door open with the mouse.

The door was so broken that Lin Fan was even worried that it would fall down if pushed.

Inside the door is a courtyard. In this era, the land is worthless, and it is your own if you surround it.So the yard of Lin Fan’s house is quite spacious, and even a few rows of vegetables are planted in the yard.

There is only one room in the yard, which is very dilapidated and small.

Lin Fan locked the courtyard door from the inside, walked a few steps quickly, and opened the door inside.

With the moonlight, Lin Fan could see clearly the inside and outside of this dilapidated house at a glance.

A table, a cabinet, a bed, and a few bricks under a black pot in the corner.

This is Lin Fan’s ”home”, a room shared by a bedroom and a kitchen.

”It’s really embarrassing, but this is the living conditions of ordinary people in this era.”

Huhu~
Lin Fan followed his memory to find the lighter and lit it. By the way, he put the lighter into the storage space, and blew two breaths on the fire to make the fire more vigorous and act as a light source.

Then, he took out a short knife from behind the cabinet.

[You get a white non-level weapon: ”Iron Short Knife” x1]

The weapons and armor in ”Rise of the Wasteland” are divided into non-graded, F-level, E-level, ..., SSS-level, the level represents the strength of the weapon and armor material itself, and can cause considerable damage to monsters of the same level or below. damage or effective defense.

The color of the weapon or armor represents its rarity and quality, divided into ”white, green, blue, purple and orange”, white has no attributes, and orange has the best attributes.

Holding this short knife, Lin Fan skillfully disemboweled the mutated mouse and stripped off its fur.

Yo, this mouse is still a female.

bang bang bang~
Finding a wooden board to support, Lin Fan directly chopped off the head and tail of the mouse, leaving the limbs and lean meat behind, chopped it into pieces with a short knife, and put it in the pot.

A large jug was pulled out from under the bed, and it was filled with potable water.

When ”Wasteland Game” was first tested, potable water was a scarce resource. Generally speaking, only the deep underground water pumped out could become pollution-free potable water after several purification processes.

Of course, some mountain springs in deep mountains and old forests can be directly drunk, but ordinary people neither dare nor have the ability to go there to get water to drink.

It is precisely because of the water that the living space of human beings is greatly restricted. In the entire Seablue Planet, human beings are no longer the masters.

It wasn’t until some time after the public beta of ”Rise of the Wasteland” that a law tide occurred, inexplicably purifying the global environment, and drinking water became more abundant. Gradually, ordinary rivers and streams became drinkable.

Coupled with the joining and development of hundreds of thousands of players, human beings began to shine again on Seablue Star.

Goooooooo~
Lin Fan poured a sufficient amount of water into the pot, and then supported the cauldron on bricks and drove it onto the fire.

He threw the kettle aside, and there was not much water left in it.

He found a piece of salt from the cabinet, threw the salt into the pot, and covered the pot. Lin Fan moved a wooden block and sat down by the fire, staring at the steaming cauldron in a daze.

Thoughts diverged unconsciously, Lin Fan became angrier as he thought about it: ”Why the hell did I just time travel!?”

You can make money by playing games while lying down at home, and occasionally go out to meet a young lady who is not distracted, isn’t she attractive?

But Qi is useless. Since ancient times, there has been no return ticket for crossing.

In fact, from Lin Fan’s point of view, after time travel, the past life and present life are out of touch, just like death.

It is said that people will go through a revolving lantern before they die, and it turns out that people after time travel will also go through a revolving lantern.

The dazed Lin Fan couldn’t help recalling his last life, and the game ”Rise of the Wasteland” he played in the last life.
