His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2416: Chapter 688: Returned (6)_5

Mu Yichen said casually to the two little children watching him hold hands with Qin Mu.

”Dad, you might as well carry Mom to the bed to rest, so she doesn’t pass it on to us.”

Little Huanhuan suggested, lying there without moving, his eyes showed that he had already seen through his dad.

Mu Yichen thought for a moment, then looked down at Qin Mu: ”Do you want to go upstairs?”

”Hmm! Alright! So we don’t pass it on to these little ones.”

Qin Mu agreed, then tried to get up. After sitting for a long time, her legs felt a bit weak, but Mu Yichen soon came over, cradling her horizontally.

Qin Mu instinctively looked up at him, but his eyes were cold and distant, with his brows devoid of warmth as usual. Thus, Qin Mu lowered her gaze, being carried away in her children’s sight, getting further and further.

”Why did Chen Xiaomei suddenly come over?”

Mu Yichen asked after he set her down upstairs.

”Oh! An old client has been looking for me these days, and since I’m not feeling well, I didn’t want to go. I thought of letting Xiaomei contact him during this time, and if necessary, have Xiaomei go personally.”

Mu Yichen looked at her and suddenly realized that Mrs. Mu was now getting lazy too. A small fever like this couldn’t have stopped her progress before.

Qin Mu was laid on the bed, covering her legs with a blanket, feeling a bit uneasy under Mu Yichen’s gaze: ”How long are you going to stay in this position?”

”What position?”

Mu Yichen bent down, at eye level with her, his dark eyes staring at her slightly embarrassed face, asking her.

Qin Mu licked her dry lips, then glanced at him again, slightly awkwardly turning to lie down, covering her shoulders with the blanket, her voice not sounding right as she said: ”I need to rest!”

”I’ll go make some food. What do you want to eat tonight?”

Mu Yichen simply sat by the bedside, his voice filled with tenderness.

”I’m not very hungry, something light, please?”

Qin Mu thought for a moment and responded to him.

”Alright! I’ll go prepare!”

Mu Yichen raised his hand to gently stroke her head, then got up and left.

Qin Mu listened to the sound of the door closing, her heart finally relaxing a bit, yet she kept recalling his cold stern eyes, unconsciously raising her hand to touch her chest.

In this lifetime, he’s the one who can take care of her like this, right?

Sometimes Qin Mu thinks she purposely seeks out trouble, but recalling some things makes her terribly anxious.

Who knows what will happen in the future, with the future being so distant.

Mu Yichen was cooking in the kitchen, while Little Huanhuan began to do homework, and Chengcheng found a notebook, imitating the words in his sister’s book, slowly writing.

Sister almost always scores a hundred points on her exams, he has to start working hard early.

Little Huanhuan saw him being so serious and couldn’t help but snort, feeling proud inside.

”The stroke order for this word is wrong, you should write this horizontal line first!”

Little Huanhuan saw his brother write the stroke wrong and softly reminded him.

Chengcheng’s clean eyes seriously looked at the words his sister wrote, then said, ”Oh!”

Little Huanhuan watched him rewrite it seriously, and after the stroke order was correct, she continued to focus on her homework.

Mu Yichen thought about it and made a phone call to the doctor.

”Yes, it’s her period, but she’s had a fever all day long. She’s taking the antipyretic medicine you prescribed last time, uh-huh, alright, then please deliver it, can’t leave!”

After making the call, Mu Yichen’s heart remained worried and unsettled, unable to relax since Qin Mu’s fever hadn’t subsided.

Before dinner, Mu Yichen heard the doorbell, Little Huanhuan went to open the door, saw it was the director uncle, and immediately smiled, stepping back two steps: ”Director uncle, why are you here?”

”Haha, Little Huanhuan is still so scared of me, uncle is here to deliver medicine to your dad, don’t worry, it’s for your mom to take!”

Although the director was old, due to his status, the kids always felt a bit scared of him, Little Huanhuan and Chengcheng were no exception.

But after he explained, the little ones weren’t so afraid, thinking, oh, he’s delivering medicine for mom.

”Does mom need an injection?”

Chengcheng also came over, asking him.

”I’ll have to check on her first, where’s your dad?”

”Here!”

Mu Yichen then stepped forward, the director looked up at him and said: ”Take me to see her!”

”Alright!”

Mu Yichen nodded.

”I’ll take you!”

Little Huanhuan said and ran ahead.
