Qin Mu couldn’t forget her embarrassed look all day, fortunately, the aunt from Mu Mansion came to help clean, so Qin Mu found an excuse: ”It’s dirty, needs washing!”

——

Mu Yichen went to drop Chengcheng and Huanhuan off at school, so Qin Mu was home alone, with the gloomy weather outside suggesting rain. She just wanted to watch TV, eat some snacks, and, with the aunt there, she had someone to chat with.

The aunt saw her so leisurely, couldn’t help but smile and say: ”Young lady, it’s rare to see you lounging at home for days like this over the years.”

”Right? I feel the same way!”

Qin Mu smiled, holding an apple in her hand, nibbling.

”Seeing you like this now, we few old ones feel relieved. When you came back, we were afraid you’d have tension with madam, making you feel repressed.”

The aunt chatted with Qin Mu as she cleaned.

Qin Mu stood beside her, as casually as if with her own relatives.

”Madam Feng and I? That won’t happen, I understand Madam Feng’s thoughts!”

Qin Mu thought for a moment, then lightly described it to her.

”Hmm! You’ve always been sensible, but you and the young master must stay well. Never run away from home again; separation for a couple is something truly feared, you know?”

The aunt thought of the time Qin Mu was in Paris, with Mu Yichen and Chen Xiaoyi having all those messy news, the household was afraid Mu Yichen really got along with Chen Xiaoyi, what would happen to their young lady then?

”Hmm! Did something happen while I was gone?”

Qin Mu asked curiously, feeling the aunt was trying to say something.

”Nothing too important, just that Miss Chen asked us to send things to you in Paris, and there were rumors about her staying overnight at a hotel with the young master,... young lady, I’m just babbling, no real evidence, don’t overthink it!”

The aunt felt she spoke too much and quickly patted her mouth, stood up straight, worriedly explaining to Qin Mu.

Qin Mu...

Hearing about that time she indeed felt a bit uncomfortable, but who could she blame?

The two of them really wanted to separate then.

”I won’t overthink it.”

Qin Mu said with a soft smile.

”Have you and the young master made up?”

The aunt couldn’t help but ask another question.

”Yes! We’ve made up!”

Seeing her so anxious, Qin Mu quickly nodded.

The aunt sighed in relief: ”It’s good you’ve made up, seeing the young master cooking for the three of you this morning, I think you must cherish such a husband.”

Qin Mu smiled and changed the topic: ”Auntie, if you’re tired, take a break, no rush to finish cleaning.”

”Hmm! Okay!”

The aunt agreed but didn’t stop her work.

After Qin Mu went upstairs, she exhaled a bit depressively, knowing the couple hadn’t really made up, otherwise Qin Mu wouldn’t have argued with Mu Yichen upstairs in the morning.

But she wasn’t in a position to ask more, thinking, Qin Mu probably had some suspicion about Yichen and Miss Chen’s situation, those two having been together for so long, handsome man and beautiful woman, could nothing have happened at all? Sigh!

Yet she dared not say more, fearing worsening their marital relationship.

Half an hour later, Qin Mu came downstairs, the aunt had cleaned the entire first floor, and as she was about to go upstairs to clean, Qin Mu instructed her to just clean the rooms in use, then cozily nestled on the sofa with a fruit platter to watch TV.

She heard the door sound, turned her head, then saw Mu Yichen’s back.

After Mu Yichen closed the door, he came back, Qin Mu stared at him dazedly: ”Why did you come back again? No work today?”

”Yes! Nothing much today!”

Mu Yichen took off his jacket, placed it aside, then went to sit together with her on the originally spacious sofa.

Qin Mu frowned in distaste; she originally wanted to have the whole sofa to herself.

”Why are you eating such cold things? Aren’t you supposed to be on your period?”

Mu Yichen glanced displeased at the large platter of sweet and sour fruits she was holding.

”Uh! Well, I wanted to eat!”

Qin Mu thought, how do you know so much? Why meddle so widely? But dared not ask, lowered her head to eat her own.

”Give it here!”

Mu Yichen said, extending his hand.

Qin Mu hesitantly looked at him, suspecting she’d misheard.

Mu Yichen directly turned around, took away her fruit platter, placed it on the coffee table, then got up and went to the kitchen: ”You’re not allowed to eat these!”

”Oh!”

Qin Mu instinctively opened her mouth, but as soon as he left, she took the fruit platter back into her arms, eating while intently watching the show.
