His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2403: Chapter 686: Returned (4)_2

Before long, Mu Yichen brought her a cup of brown sugar water from the kitchen, and seeing her still eating, he sighed helplessly.

Qin Mu smelled the sweetness of the sugar water, glanced up, and obediently handed over her plate to him, taking the brown sugar water: ”That’s so considerate! Thank you!”

Qin Mu had nothing else to say, so she just smiled ’sincerely’ to thank him.

Sometimes, Mu Yichen really cares about her more than she does herself.

So at the moment she held the brown sugar water, she couldn’t complain about him being nosy.

After all, her period came, whether she was uncomfortable or not was her body’s reaction, he wouldn’t feel a thing.

Mu Yichen saw her fake smile and directly raised his hand to cover that insincere look: ”Just watch your TV!”

So Qin Mu cradled the warm cup again and watched TV, very seriously.

Mu Yichen later went upstairs too, leaving Qin Mu at home watching idol dramas, watching until her mouth twitched, nearly distorting her face, unable to comprehend today’s young people’s view on love.

At eleven, Auntie came down from upstairs and spoke to her: ”Young mistress, I’ve finished cleaning. What would you like for lunch, I can prepare it now.”

”Oh!”

”No need, you can go back to the old house, just come and clean regularly,” Mu Yichen said as he walked over from who knows where.

”Oh! Okay!”

Auntie was a bit startled, their young master was always cold-faced, so she nodded in agreement, ready to put everything back in its place and head back to the Mu Family.

But she discovered a problem, their young master and young mistress were actually sleeping in separate rooms.

Although there weren’t many clothes in that room, it was obvious that someone had been sleeping there recently, and that person was their young master.

Auntie suddenly felt a bit sorry for Mu Yichen, not knowing if her pity was misplaced, after all, Qin Mu wasn’t messing around outside, yet he had dated that Miss Chen.

At noon Mu Yichen cooked, Qin Mu stood at the kitchen door: ”Why do you always have to cook yourself? Auntie’s cooking is quite alright too.”

”Do you like Auntie’s cooking?”

Mu Yichen turned to look at her and coldly asked.

Qin Mu shut her mouth, looked at him twice, then turned her head and walked away dejectedly.

Why talk to Mu Yichen at all?

Anything one says might end up being countered.

Better to talk less, eat more, watch more, and be more quiet.

Mu Yichen was cooking soup in the kitchen, specially adding warming Chinese medicine, the aroma later wafted into the living room, Qin Mu almost suspected she had entered some fancy restaurant.

Lunch was already two hours later, Qin Mu was starving to death but dared not make a fuss, just sat watching the pot of soup he brought to the table, the flavor was fresh and fragrant, red and white, hahaha, the red was goji berries.

”Eat!”

Mu Yichen said, serving her the soup and handing her chopsticks.

”Thank you!”

Qin Mu instinctively said the two words, put down her chopsticks and drank the soup first.

She had to admit, today’s weird weather was quite suited for drinking this hot soup, especially with her period coming, it truly was...

Wait!

Last night with the hot water bottle, today with the soup, could he have prepared it especially for her period?

Qin Mu felt a little uneasy, he suddenly being so attentive made her uncomfortable.

Not going to work just to cook for her at home today?

He wasn’t always so good before, but over the past year, their relationship had been strained, so now with his sudden attentiveness, Qin Mu felt a bit unbalanced, felt like he didn’t need to be so good to her.

Thinking too much, after drinking a bowl of soup she suddenly lost all motivation.

Mu Yichen naturally ate little, seeing her suddenly down-spirited with only a bit left in the bowl, he quietly watched her for a while, softly asked: ”What’s wrong? You drank so little, don’t you like it?”

Mu Yichen asked because he just saw her drinking with such enthusiasm and joy.

”Uh! Well! It’s that saying, I’ve accepted food and I’m indebted!”

Qin Mu thought, she said that before returning, once back in the city he needn’t care for her, he didn’t need to cook every day at home, they could even hire a maid, but after returning...

And with her acting so coldly in return, she just wanted to maintain a cohabitating neighborly relationship with him, so...

Sigh!

Qin Mu felt even more reflective, sighing.

”Indebted for eating? I cooked two hours just for you to drink a bit? Keep drinking! Finish the whole pot, then you won’t feel indebted for eating!”

Mu Yichen reminded her coldly, reaching out to take her bowl and continued to refill her soup.

But finish the whole pot?
