Chapter 1643: The Sky Stealer in Undead Cradle! (9)

At first, the chances of forcefully summoning Nomad through the Lone Hunter Ring had been infinitesimal because the Undead Boundary would’ve interfered too heavily.

But the Evernight Demon King still wanted to try, and that was why she proceeded so meticulously, captured Corpse Clan members, prepared this ancient altar, and personally descended here.

But then, just when she thought Nomad was the only anomaly they’re going to see, the impossible happened, and The Undead Boundary weakened as its mysterious power began to fade away.

The moment she sensed that change, the possibility of success rose explosively. Now, she no longer intended to merely observe Nomad. She wanted to pull him directly in front of her!

The Evernight Demon King’s lips curled into a faint, chilling smile as the altar beneath her erupted with ancient crimson radiance. The surrounding hidden space distorted violently, and runes lit up one after another.

The blood within the floating pot began boiling, and a terrifying pressure spread outward as if an ancient existence had opened its eyes.

Thereafter, the Evernight Demon King finally spoke, her voice echoing in the ancient Abyssal Runic Language, carrying authority capable of shaking the laws themselves.

”Summon the Ring of Lone Hunter and everything in its vicinity...HERE!”

The altar trembled, and space folded inward as reality screamed...

’BOOOOOOOOOOOOM—!!!’

The instant the final word descended, the altar exploded, the entire taboo formation shattered violently as if struck by something infinitely beyond its capacity to withstand.

The Evernight Demon King’s expression changed instantly for the first time since her arrival, as this was clearly something that was supposed to happen. Her heart was filled with pure shock and disbelief!

’How could a Taboo Spell have failed!? Not even an Abyssal King would’ve been able to escape! If it had exploded before the abrupt changes within the Undead Boundary, it would have been just explainable. But now that there is a flaw in the Undead Boundary, it shouldn’t have failed!

’Even if Nomad was dead, he should still have the Ring of Lone Hunter, or anyone who had killed him...it should’ve worked even with a fragment of the Ring of Lone Hunter!

’But then why does it fail like this!? And this recoil also seemed rather peculiar...just what happened!?’

Just when the Evernight Demon King started to go crazy, cracks spread across the altar before it disintegrated into countless fragments of crimson light.

The next moment, the hidden space around her collapsed immediately afterward as spatial layers shattered one after another. The Evernight Demon King was forcibly expelled back into the Upper Ancient Battlefield!

The Evernight Demon King didn’t care about being expelled outside as she coldly looked in the direction of the Undead Boundary.

’I guess, I need to partake in Eldest Senior Brother’s barbaric act...’

Just as she decided to join hands with the Evernight Fiend King, who was on his way, she was about to head towards the Undead Boundary when...

’RUMBLEEEEEEE...!’

The battlefield shook violently, and, including the Evernight Demon King, every participant froze, along with every hidden Corpse Clan member, as they all looked upward in alarm. Even the First Corpse Commander and the Midnight Duke abruptly raised their heads.

Everyone witnessed that the sky had turned dark, or more accurately, it was covered!

An enormous shadow descended over the entirety of the Undead Cradle, and silence spread, absolute silence. Then slowly, something appeared in the heavens under everyone’s astounded yet confused expressions.

At first, it was only an outline, and then it grew clearer, and bigger; larger than mountains, larger than clouds, and larger than the battlefield, the Undead Cradle itself!

An enormous pitch-black owl manifested across the sky itself, its wings spread wide enough to blot out the dim crimson heavens of the Undead Cradle.

Devilish horns curved upward from its head. Its eyes glowed with boundless darkness, and on the body of that colossal owl were two words written in abyssal darkness.

Those words, whoever saw them, were able to instantly comprehend them without fail...

”SKY STEALER!”

The moment those words appeared, the entire Undead Cradle trembled.

The Corpse Clan became deathly silent.

”Who is this Sky Stealer!” The Evernight Demon King’s eyes widened ever so slightly as she stared at the impossible phenomenon unfolding before her.

Because she instantly realized something horrifying. This wasn’t an illusion, or a projection, but some kind of declaration or a mark like a signature left behind on the laws of the Undead Cradle itself!

At that moment, countless participants felt their hearts turn cold. Some instinctively lowered their heads. Others stared blankly in disbelief. Even the hidden Corpse Clan members felt fear creeping into their undead souls.

Far away, even the Evernight Devil King rose from his throne as the projection in front of him violently fluctuated, and his void-like eyes narrowed sharply.

Not only him, everyone who had been watching this scene was stuck silly by the phenomena of the devilish owl in the sky, silently overlooking the entire Undead Cradle like a nightmare descending upon reality itself.

Furthermore, everyone noticed that the owl in the sky wasn’t showing any signs of fading away, as if it had been woven into the fabric of space itself.

The Evernight Trial suddenly seemed to have transformed into something else as that owl made even the Evernight Kings and Half-Abyssal Kings uneasy.

But there was one exception in the Undead Cradle who wasn’t struck with fear or apprehension by the majestic owl in the sky.

Instead, a deep smile filled with deep affection and faint irritation spread on her otherworldly face as she looked at the overbearing owl in the sky.

”You just can’t control yourself, huh?” She muttered under her breath with a hint of annoyance as her devilish eyes flickered begrudgingly, ”But why didn’t you tell me about something this exciting and take me with you?”

Without hesitation, she opened a system interface, and with a hint of a dangerous smile, she commanded, ”Call my dear husband~!”

From this day onward, the Abyssal Plains would remember that name, the name that would soon plunge countless powers into fear and become their biggest nightmare...the Sky Stealer!
