Emperor’s Domination

“Of course I choose to trust myself, Senior. Anyone would.” Light God paused for a bit before smiling.

“What if the self isn’t trustworthy?” Li Qiye said.

“Then on one else is.” He said: “I can’t trust you over myself, Senior.”

“Makes sense, but I’m not here to get you to trust me though. There are many options available.” Li Qiye said.

“Such as?” He stared at Li Qiye.

Li Qiye took a sip of tea and took his time before answering: “Such as killing you.”

His eyes became resplendent with the most primal light. It focused on purification instead of destruction.

Li Qiye still sipped his tea without a care. He finished and placed the cup on the table.

Light God took a deep breath and poured more for him.

“So you are here to kill me, Senior.” Light God said.

“Who knows? Not difficult at all, and I didn’t have to wait until now.” Li Qiye said.

“Are you an immortal?” He asked, unable to see any clues. The guy had absolute confidence and he didn’t seem to be pretending.

Moreover, he was acquainted with the three immortals as well.

“That doesn’t matter. What matters is whether you believe me or not.” Li Qiye smiled.

“I do not. How can my experience be fake? I recall every step vividly.” He said.

“Yes, the life experience is real, but as I’ve said, you are fake.” Li Qiye said.

“Impossible.” He insisted.

“Entertain the thought.” Li Qiye smirked.

“Senior, you must be understanding something.” He said.

“Just imagine if you are fake, who stole your life? Or, if this is true, would you want to keep on maintaining this life?” Li Qiye asked.

“If I’m fake…” He contemplated. After a while, he responded: “Of course, this is my life, no one else is in charge.”

“What if you are an immortal?” Li Qiye asked.

“An immortal?” He didn’t expect this response.

“Yes, if your true self is an immortal while the current you is fake. Would you want to be an immortal or maintain this form?” Li Qiye asked.

“What?” The question stunned him.

He was immensely powerful, perhaps the strongest primal ancestor not to mention being blessed by the three immortals. However, the gap between him and an immortal was incalculable. Even the most brilliant Xian Chengtian couldn’t become one.

“So which is it, Light God or an immortal?” Li Qiye asked again.

“I pick myself, Light God.” He took a deep breath and said firmly: “Immortality is my pursuit but that will be a process, not something gained in the blink of an eye. It doesn’t matter whether it’s an immortal or someone even stronger, that’s not my life.”

“Unfortunately and begrudgingly, I will have to tell you that you’re a fake.” Li Qiye said.

“My life isn’t erased by your comment, Senior.” He shook his head.

“Because I saved the three immortals.” Li Qiye said: “If they were beaten to the brink of annihilation, how could they have left a legacy for you?”

“Senior, this is no laughing matter.” He stood up and glared at Li Qiye.

“I’m not joking.” Li Qiye sipped his tea.

He took a deep breath and said: “Senior, I have my own light dao after becoming an ancestor but my strongest one wasn’t created by me.”

“I know.” Li Qiye nodded: “High Heaven Dao Sigil.”

“How do you know this?!” He staggered backward, shocked.

“You believe this dao was created by the three immortals way later, this is not true. They were up there and turned back because they knew they would lose. Nevertheless, they still gazed at the high heaven and became enlightened with this dao.” Li Qiye said: “They returned to Three Immortals but never used it. They understood this dao was only the bare surface, not his complete version.”

“Nevertheless, they still passed it down to me.” He said.

“No, they passed it down to only one person.” Li Qiye said.

“Who is it?” He asked.

Li Qiye stared at him and said slowly: “Bao Pu.”

“Bao Pu…” He looked as if struck by lightning.

“Yes, the first in this world to explore the dao, or so he thought. In reality, the three immortals were already there. He was no different than a child learning how to walk and speak in their eyes, full of curiosity and hope for the dao. Thus, they taught him.” Li Qiye said.

“A direct disciple.” He said. Bao Pu being the first progenitor and the three immortals’ direct disciple was no secret.

“No, strictly speaking, they did not take him in as a disciple.” Li Qiye said: “They viewed him more as a son.”
