Emperor’s Domination

Someone waited on the path before he made it to Terra City – an old man kneeling while holding a chest with both hands.

The man in gray wasn’t particularly tall and was slightly hunched. Alas, his spine gave the impression of being unbendable unless something was strong enough to break it entirely.

“Sir, I have been waiting.” He lowered his head in Li Qiye’s direction.

Li Qiye landed before him and said: “Looks like you’ve been here for a while.”

“Master ordered me to wait for you.” He prostrated.

“Xian Chengtian’s disciple.” Li Qiye said.

“Yes, I am his third disciple. Others call me Skyguard.” He said respectfully.

Despite his ordinary appearance, he was a primal ancestor worshipped by others as Venerable Skyguard.

Li Qiye glanced at the statue placed on top of the chest. It depicted a person pointing with a lingering immortal light on the fingertip.

“Immortal’s Guidance. Looks like your master fancies you.” Li Qiye said.

“Sir, it is meant to guide me to you.” The old man said.

This was an immortal-level treasure left behind by the three redemption grounds.

“So why are you waiting for me?” Li Qiye smiled.

“Sir, my master left immortal items for me to transfer to you.” The old man said respectfully.

“For me?” Li Qiye smiled and opened the chest, allowing wondrous light to erupt.

Li Qiye took a look and said: “Tri-zenith Cauldron, Heavencall Powder, Supreme Tendon…”

Each name could shock others since they were immortal-level items. Each could cause a war if left out in the mortal world.

Not to mention regular cultivators, even emperors and up would go crazy for these rare items.

“They’re all valuable.” Li Qiye closed the chest and said.

“Master told me to give it to you in the event of his death.” The old man said: “He said that although they might not be valuable in your eyes but there is sentimental value since they belonged to the grandmasters. They shouldn’t be left scattered in the mortal world.”

“Then pass it down.” Li Qiye smiled.

“Master implied we were too weak to keep them. Only calamity and destruction would come for us. He is also disbanding the branch in World City and dividing its resources among us.” The old man said.

“How thorough, since when is he such a nice guy?” Li Qiye smiled.

“I dare not comment on Master’s conduct.” The old man said.

“You do not wish to keep these treasures?” Li Qiye asked.

“Sir, the truth is that treasures tempt the heart. However, Master was counting on me and had rewarded me accordingly before leaving. I do not wish to be greedy.” The old man said while still kneeling the whole time.

“What if you want more?” Li Qiye asked.

“Master told me in that case, just take one or two things, no more. Otherwise, I will die without a grave since I am not able to keep these immortal artifacts.” The old man told the truth.

“Sounds like he is sincere.” Li Qiye commented.

“Other matters aside, Master never imposed anything upon us when we first joined. He was always generous and only wanted us to be well. What we have now, we owe to him.” The old man said.

“If what you say is true, then he was a good master.” Li Qiye said.

“Sir, whether he is good or bad depends on one’s perspective.” The old man spoke: “In my heart, he is a kind and magnanimous master. He was never strict in his teachings and let us take the lead in what we want to pursue. He never held back on gifts and resources either.”

“A good and compassionate master. There is balance.” Li Qiye said.

“Balance?” The old man asked.

“Your master has been so kind and generous to all of you, allowing you to cultivate freely, to live at ease without worries.” Li Qiye smiled again and said, “If he himself did not endure such suffering, then it means someone else bore that suffering for him.”

“Please elaborate.” The old man said.

Li Qiye patted his shoulder and smiled: “Passing on the dao is no easy task. Your master has bestowed upon you so many treasures, allowing you to obtain them as you wished. If these treasures weren’t painstakingly accumulated by your master himself, then they must have been gathered by your grandmasters. He emptied his own master’s treasury to fulfill and support disciples like you.”

“Hmm…” The old man hadn’t thought about this matter before. Perhaps it was the same for his peers.

Everyone knew what his master had done – an unfilial betrayer. Many reviled him as a heinous villain.

However, they didn’t think so since he showed nothing but compassion and love for them. Rewards came on their own, not requiring considerable contributions and achievements.

Therefore, they lived freely and had no goal. They didn’t need to become emperors or primal ancestors.

The ambitious ones such as Dark Fairy are free to aim for the supreme overlord realm. Therefore, this senior sister traveled around Three Immortals to train.

He, on the other hand, remained in World City and kept an easy administrative position. He did not need fame or treasures.

Eight-armed Immortal Child, a junior, had a majestic goal to stay in Old World and help Immortal Gate prosper.

It was fine for them to become an overlord or an idle cultivator. The master left it up to them to decide. Thus, it was a joy having him as a master.

They had nothing but respect for him, never considering him a heinous villain.

“Our gratitude toward the master knows no bounds.” The old man said.

“Who wouldn’t want such a master?” Li Qiye
