Emperor’s Domination

She perfected the nine words as an emperor and obtained a new dao as a primal ancestor. She was someone capable of becoming an overlord and after observing Emperor Zheng’s ascension, she had a higher probability of success than Luminous Master.

Despite her power, she had no idea this had taken place. She had total control of her mind and body yet couldn’t detect this anomaly.

“I was horrified.” She still felt frightened while talking about it: “I used my dao flame to burn it, useless. Crushing it, useless. Cutting it apart, also useless…”

“An original worm would have turned you into a corpse or a puppet immediately. It’s effective even against immortals.” Li Qiye said.

“Yes, mine must have been born inside the progenitor’s body.” She said. This became obvious after seeing Supreme Black Ancestor fight against the dragon hybrid – her progenitor. Moreover, Li Qiye confirmed the worm’s origin.

“He didn’t try to infect me.” She said.

“He was virtually a corpse at that point.” Li Qiye said.

“Nothing worked against the growing worm. It slowly invaded my mind and true fate.” She sighed.

“But you didn’t dare ask for help.” Li Qiye said.

“Yes, Young Noble.” She said.

Only a few overlords in Three Immortals could help her. However, they could view her as a threat and kill her during her vulnerable moment.

Alas, the worm wanted to devour her true fate – the most important piece of her existence. She could create a new body but not the true fate.

“I wanted to seal my true fate but was not strong enough.” She continued: “In the past, I guided First Vine through Uncrossable Expanse to find an ultimate sealing technique. I knew there was one in Hidden Dao Star and we went there…”

“He used World Seal to control the nine peaks there.” Li Qiye said.

“Yes, I was there when he performed the seal so I knew the chants.” She said: “I tried to find him later but he was long gone. Since there was no other option, I chanted to borrow the power of the World Seal to see if it could suppress my true fate. The nine peaks descended in World City and fused with the earth veins, preventing anyone from entering.”

“A blessing amidst disasters.” Li Qiye said: “World Seal stopped the worm and the nine peaks’ connection nourished you.”

“Yes, but I was imprisoned here forever.” She smiled wryly.

Since her true fate was here, she could no longer leave World City.

“The worm was still there no matter how many times I changed my body with the help of the nine peaks.” She let out a bitter sigh. The few spoken words contained untold suffering.

The process was slow and filled with agony with no end in sight. Nevertheless, she struggled to survive.

“When I saw you, Young Noble, I also thought about how this might be my way out.” She said: “If you kill me, you will kill the worm too and spare me from this suffering.”
