Dragon Monarch System

884  Chapter 884:- Gratitude and Friendship

Aditya silently went to the dead bodies and took their storage rings before walking up to Laura.

He knew that one of these storage rings must contain some information about the League of Black Tombs.

Something like this has happened before. When the Ant queen was betrayed, she left a note behind, which helped Aditya gain a lot of information about this organization. Maybe this time, something similar will be found within one of the storage rings.

Roar!!!!!

The fight wasn’t over yet.

The earthshaking roar of the Abyssal Eye caught their attention.

Even with thousands of powerful cultivators, it still wasn’t enough to stop this monster. With every single second, the damages to the city and the number of casualties only increased.

“We have to stop this monster!” Aditya nodded his head. However, he had no idea what kind of monster this was.

‘The league of Black Tomb always seems to bring some strange kind of creatures with them every time they plan something.’

” I will help you. But I need to know if this monster has any weakness.” Clearly magic wasn’t working against this monster.

“As you have already guessed it, the power of any magic attack or attacks from a group of cultivators is reduced by 99%. To defeat this monster, you will need to rely on physical attack and target its eye.”

“Understood!”

Swoosh!!!

Aditya vanished before Laura could say anything else.

Seeing this, Laura shook her head with a helpless smile.

“Kate, how are you feeling?” Laura asked.

“I am doing fine, thanks to you and His Majesty.” Little did she know that the potion that saved her life and brought her back from the brink of death was created from the most expensive and most sought-after herb within the six continents.

“Kate, we must find and destroy the magic triangle.”

But that wasn’t necessary.

Everyone saw a crimson ray of light charging toward the center of the monster’s eye. The tentacle monster tried to stop Aditya with its tentacles but failed.

All the tentacles that came in his path were severed and burned.

Boooom….!!!!!

When everyone opened their eyes, they saw a giant hole in the eye of the monster. Most of its tentacles were served from its body and were lying around it.

‘Maybe I should have gone with another approach.’ Aditya thought to himself as he looked at his arms and legs. His whole body was covered in sticky red liquid, which is the blood of the Abyssal Eye.

『Ding! You have killed a Peak 5th-order Abyssal Eye. Your Experience Points were saved for future use.』

Aditya turned back and looked at the monster.

Within a few seconds, no remains of these tentacle monsters remain in the capital. All that remained was almost 2/4 of the entire capital in ruins and thousands of powerful cultivators who fought and tried to defend their homes.

‘Dammit!!’ Aditya was a little pissed that the corpse of the tentacle monster disappeared just like this.

‘And here I was secretly hoping to use some body parts of this monster to create an anti-magic type artifact.’

This monster had no magic of its own, but it possessed an innate skill that allowed it to reduce the power of any magic attack by an astounding 99%. Aditya was certain that, if its body parts were handled and refined properly, they could be used to create an artifact capable of granting the same incredible ability—an artifact that could nullify nearly all magic attacks with a 99% reduction in power.

While Aditya was looking for any remaining tiny or small remains of the tentacle monster, all cultivators in the capital were staring at him. He was in the center of attention.

“Who is he?” One guard asked out loud. Anyone can tell from his outfit that this man is not from the underwater realm. Rather, he is someone from the surface world.

“Idiot! That’s the dragon monarch.” The one who replied was his superior.

The general wondered how his subordinate failed to recognize the Dragon Monarch despite all the great things this man had accomplished.

As the name Dragon Monarch was uttered, the name very rapidly spread to the years of every cultivator and civilian. Within a minute, everyone knew who this man was.

“The Dragon Monarch personally came to save us! I cannot believe this.” One of the civilians said while staring at the back of the dragon monarch.

“Just look at him! The first impression I had when I saw him was that he was a powerful cultivator from the surface world.”

“I thought his outfit would be more extravagant.”

Another man nodded his head and added. “Well, I recently went to the surface world and learned that the dragon monarch is actually a very kind and unique king. He is very different from those kings that show off at every chance they get.”

While everyone was staring and talking about the Dragon Monarch, Laura approached Aditya.

“Thank you! It looks like I owe you again.” This time, the debt was far too great. Not only had he done the Empire an immense favor by rescuing their Empress from the kidnappers, but he had also saved her maid from certain death.

But he just casually waved his hand. “Did you forget that we are allies?” Hearing this, a small smile appeared on her face, making her look even more beautiful.

“And beyond that, I consider you as a friend.” This time, her smile fully blossomed. He could see her white teeth.

“Aside from Kate, whom I also consider my first friend, you are the second and only friend I have.”

“I am honored to know that.” It was the same for him. There were only a few people whom he considered friends. One of them was Spencer, the second one was Percy, and the third one was her.

“You seem to be looking for any remains of the Tentacle Monster.” Earlier she had seen him searching for something. Even a child could guess what he might be searching for. “Ah…..yes!! I was planning on using some body parts of this Monster to make artifacts and weapons for myself, but unfortunately, I will have to put my plan on hold.” There is no need for him to hide anything. 19:16

“How do you know how I can summon this monster?” If this was possible, then he was going to bring another of these tentacle monsters to this world and kill it. Laura smiled as she realized what intention he had for asking this question. “Unfortunately, I did not try to remember the triangle magic formation. Aside from the formation, you will also need to perform a dark ritual that involves sacrificing the lives of hundreds of people.” “So I suggest that you drop the idea of bringing this monster to this world.” Aditya nodded his head. He had no interest in conducting dark rituals. Doing that would only limit his cultivation future. “Your Capital is a mess.” Aditya looked around and said. Laura nodded her head with a wry smile. Almost 40% of the entire capital was destroyed. This was just infrastructure damage. Who knows how many of her people died and got injured? “This whole incident has set us back by six months.” This chaos will probably result in so many months of hard work being undone. “By the way, what happened to you?” He have been wanting to ask this question since he saw her being taken by the League of Black Tomb organization members. “You have lost a lot of weight. Also, your skin has become fragile, and your face looks a lot paler.”

Aditya took a step closer to get a better look. But this unexpectedly made her blush. She took a few steps back. “It’s alright!”

“I am fi…..cough….!! Cough…..!!! cough.!!” She couldn’t even finish. She violently started coughing. Despite covering her mouth with her palm, she couldn’t hide the bloodstains from his sharp eyes. “You’re coughing blood?” Seeing this, Aditya frowned. This was not a good sign. A cultivator is an immortal. Normal sickness that a mortal faces should never affect immortals. Yet, Laura was coughing like a person who was suffering from cancer. “Her situation has been getting worse.” Kate appeared behind them and said. “The thing is, we were planning to see His Majesty, but before we could start our journey, those bad guys appeared.” Kate clenched her tiny fists while talking about Atlas and others. “Now, only the Goddess of Alchemy can save Lady Laura.” “Then, let’s not waste any time here.” “No…..!!” Aditya and Kate frowned upon hearing this. When they turned to Laura, she rubbed her forehead. “First, I need to stabilize the situation in the capital.”

Just after saying that, she collapsed as her eyes rolled back.

But before she could fall, Aditya took a step forward. Her face landed on his chest. He gently held her. He was about to tell her to come with him when he noticed her glaring. “You pervert, let go of Lady Laura!!” Kate was immediately protective of her Lady. “I was just helping her.” But he still held her as she wasn’t responding. “I…..!!” Kate gritted her teeth. “Whatever! I will carry Lady Laura to the Istarin Empire.” Saying that, she snatched Laura from Aditya and held her. “Alright!!”

“But before leaving, we should give some instructions; otherwise, things will become too messy in Laura’s absence.” Who knows how long would it take before Laura could recover and return to her Empire?

After thinking for a few seconds, Kate nodded her head. —————-

Really Thank you very much to all those who send support with valuable golden tickets and gifts. I hope we can keep it up!!!

I wanted to upload it yesterday, but the thing is, a lot of things happened unexpectedly. In the end, I have had a car accident. It was kind of my fault. There was a truck before me, and it suddenly stopped. When I tried to stop the car, the brake did not work properly. It kind of slipped (I don’t know how to explain it). I am fine, and the car is in the garage.
