Dragon Monarch System

“Riya, calm down.” Aditya held her right palm.

He could feel it.

She was very agitated at this moment. She needed to calm down.

“Aditya…!!” The Goddess looked at him. Both of them looked at each other for a few seconds. Realizing that what he was saying was true, Riya took a deep breath and nodded her head. “At this moment, the best thing that we can do is come ourselves and think of a solution.” “Getting agitated won’t get us anywhere.” Amelia and Riya both nodded their heads.

Aditya looked at the corpses and thought to himself. ‘Before this incident, I have never come this close to dark rituals.’

Dark Rituals was a thing that 99.9% of all cultivators frowned upon.

Back in the Main Continent, he had heard of a few dark ritual practitioners being stoned to death.

These kinds of people are so hated in every society that people won’t hesitate to travel hundreds of kilometers just to throw stones at these people and watch them die. In fact, whenever a dark ritual practitioner died in a kingdom or empire, people celebrated it as if it were a festival.

“Riya, how about you check the dead bodies? Maybe you will find something that will help us find a lead.” Riya nodded and got to her knees.

Just before her knees touched the ground, large green leaves emerged gracefully from the earth, spreading out in all directions. Her knees didn’t touch the ground but rested gently on the soft, lush leaves.

Gently touching the forehead of a female elven corpse, she closed her eyes.

Within the first second, she realized that something was wrong. Something seemed to be inside their bodies.

Before she could delve deeper, something unexpected happened.

Suddenly, one of the corpses began to swell. Its body inflated rapidly as if pumped full of air, expanding like a balloon.

Aditya reacted swiftly, pulling Riya and Amelia, who stood beside him, into his embrace. Turning his back to the inflating corpse, he shielded them by covering their bodies with his Crimson Dragon wings.

Booom…!!!!

Kya….!!!

Ah…!!!

“What’s happening?”

The corpse exploded into many tiny pieces of flesh and bones. Blood was sprayed on everyone within a 20-meter radius.

The skull of the corpse transformed into one giant dark green tree.

Within a few seconds, the tree grew to a height of 20 meters, and its trunk grew to a size of 5 meters thick.

Riya and Amelia came out of his embrace. They noticed the chaotic scene. Blood, along with tiny pieces of flesh mixed with bones, was sprayed everywhere.

The guards weren’t spared either.

Fortunately, only a few from the crowd were sprayed with some drops of blood.

From the beginning, the crowd was told to stay back. As a result, no one was injured or fully covered in gore.

“Are you alright?” Amelia asked Aditya as she noticed his body was covered in blood and other not-so-fun stuff.

At the same time, her heart was beating really fast. It was not because of what had happened but because of what he had done to protect her. She did not let that distract her.

“It’s not a big deal!!” A wave of Crimson flame covered his body. His understanding of his Crimson Flames had deepened to the point where he could cover himself with his own flames without getting hurt.

The flames lasted a few seconds.

When the flames disappeared, there was no trace of any gore stuff on his back. Strangely enough, nothing happened to his clothes. There weren’t any burn marks on his clothes.

Seeing this, Amelia was impressed.

As for Riya, she briefly glanced at Aditya before looking at the massive dark green tree before her.

She gently touched the tree and instantly realized its purpose.

“This tree is going to explode in about 109 seconds.” She sounded calm, as if she already had a way to deal with it.

What she did not tell anyone is that the explosion of this tree wouldn’t be that strong. The explosion wouldn’t even injure a Beginner Third Order cultivator. What was most concerning was the poison that the explosion would release into the air. This tree holds enough poison to contaminate one-tenth of the entire capital’s air.

“Aditya, use your crimson flames to burn this tree.” This is the quickest way to deal with this tree.

The intense heat from the flame would incinerate everything.

She saw how much his control over his Crimson flame had increased, so she decided to trust him with this process.

“Alright!!”

Snap!!!

A massive wave of crimson flame rose from the ground. Within a second, the whole dark green tree was covered in Crimson Flame.

The Crimson flames continued to burn the dark green tree for about 10 seconds.

When the flames disappeared, nothing was left except a scorched spot on the ground.

Meanwhile, Riya’s attention was on another corpse.

‘I can feel the same Aura as before.’

Without any hesitation, she made a small cut on the forehead of the corpse.

Small green roots that were as thin as needles extended out of her fingers and entered his

forehead through the small cut.

Within a few seconds, the green roots pulled out a small seed.

“What is this?” Aditya asked.

“This is a Cursed Seed.” Having lived for over a thousand years, Amelia knew what this seed

was, and its purpose.

The cursed seed is small-about the size of a fingernail-and has a dark, glossy surface that appears unnaturally smooth. Its veins glow faintly with a sinister crimson hue. The veins were

pulsating as if alive.

“Around many centuries back, there used to be a region within the Celestial Terrain. In that region, a special kind of tree used to grow known as the Toxicflare Oak.”

“These Toxicflare Oaks grow from these cursed seeds.”

“Thousands of elves died in the past from the toxin released by these trees. Not even high- order cultivators are safe from its toxins.”

“Riya’s grandmother saw the threat of these trees and how these trees were slowly spreading and also corrupting other vegetation of the surrounding regions. She, along with a few other light mages, destroyed every single one of the Toxicflare Oaks.”

“Toxicflare Oaks can be found in Main Continent. So the culprit may be someone from the Main Continent.” Hearing this, Aditya suddenly felt that a certain organization might be behind this. But he decided not to say anything until he had found concrete evidence.

Holding the cursed seed, Riya felt something.

Amelia and Aditya were confused when they saw her looking in the direction of the south.

“What is it?” Riya asked.

“I felt something in the south.”

“It’s very hard to explain, but if I had to say it, it would be like these seeds acting like receivers.” This explains the small but barely noticeable dark, sinister Aura she felt from these corpses. This is the Aura of the culprit that was coming from these cursed seeds.

“This explains why the sudden transformation to a corpse happened now.”

“The culprit did this purposely.”

“But why? Why not make all the corpses transform at the same time?”

Meanwhile, Riya managed to remove seven more cursed seeds from the remaining corpses.

“I am done here! Aditya, let’s go!!”

“Where are you two going?” Amelia asked.

“We are heading in the direction of the South. The only way to find answers would be to ask

the culprit.”

“Let me come with you two.”

“Mom, you can’t leave. Handle the situation here.”

“But…..!!” She still felt concerned.

“Don’t worry, with Aditya, nothing will happen to me.”

…

Scene Change

“She is coming…..!!”

“But I could also feel another strong Aura with her.” According to the plan, she was supposed

to come here alone.

Even if she did come here with Amelia, those two would help her keep Amelia distracted. Or

even if Amelia came here alone, they would use her to bring Riya here.

“It’s the Dragon Monarch!!” The elven woman sounded frustrated. Every member of the League of Black Tomb was fed up and frustrated with the Dragon

Monarch. This man has ruined their plans time and time again. Even now, he was here with

the Goddess.

“It doesn’t matter. We will take him on.” But the human male with her sounded calm.

“We just need to keep him distracted long enough for the ritual to be completed.”

“I don’t feel so confident going against him.” Every time she watches him fight, he gets strong while staying in the same Order.

The woman replied in an honest tone. If this fight had happened on the Main Continent, it would have been a different story.

“You don’t have to. Just cover me. I will fight him.”

As they flew in the direction of the South, even Aditya spotted two powerful 5th-order

cultivators in the forest.

The southern part of the Celestial Terrain isn’t as populated as the other parts. This part of the continent is almost uninhabited.

Very few clans live here. And the ones that do live here keep themselves isolated from other

clans.

“Riya…..!!”

“I can also sense three Auras just a few kilometers ahead.”

Thank you very much to all those who sent support with valuable golden tickets. I hope we can

keep it up!
