882  Chapter 882:- Laura Captured

“Where is Kate?” Laura just started her work, but in her current state, she needs Kate’s assistance. Even ten hours might not be enough to complete all the work without her help. “Being the Empress is hard!!” But she loved what she was doing. Whenever she looks back at the things she did within months of becoming the Empress, she feels nothing but pure joy and satisfaction. Booooooom…..!!!!

But then, the loud sound of an explosion reached her ears. The sound wouldn’t have reached her ears if not for her enhanced senses. Since there was no water in her house, she did not feel any shockwaves, but others in the capital did.

ROARRRR!!!!!!

Laura hurried out of the house only to see one-fourth of the capital in ruins. A gigantic monster was heading towards the center of the Capital.

“Lady Laura, what is that?” Kate came running towards Laura. Meanwhile, Laura silently stared at the gigantic monster. It was a monster with a giant eyeball and octopus-like tentacles. The monster’s eyeball was 30 meters in diameter, and the bigger tentacles extended up to 50 meters. The monster also had smaller tentacles. It had so many tentacles that it could wrap its Giant eye using its tentacles. “Is that a Kraken?” This monster looked similar to a certain kind of monster that lives under the ocean water. The similarity between them is their tentacles. “It’s not!!” Laura shook her head. “It’s a Tentaculon.” “It’s also called The Abyssal Eye.”

“Why have I never heard of this monster?” Although she wasn’t as knowledgeable as Laura, it didn’t mean Kate was clueless. In fact, her wisdom and understanding could easily rival those of the current and even previous Prime Ministers.

As the maid of the most intelligent person in the entire Ocean Realm, it was only natural that Kate would absorb a wealth of knowledge over time. Laura often allowed her to read books she had already finished. This ensured that Kate’s education continued to grow. Being in such an environment, Kate gained an impressive understanding of various subjects that were far beyond what one would expect from someone in her position.

“Remember a time when I went to the surface world about a few decades back.” Kate nodded her head. At that time, she was super distressed about Lady Laura’s sudden disappearance. “I had a fortunate encounter in the surface world. I met a group of young rogue cultivators who found remains of a civilization that was destroyed by a group of Tentaculon. These rogue cultivators called it the Abyssal Eye.” While speaking, she noticed all the Peak 5th-order cultivators in the Capital were going towards the Tentaculon. Some had already begun attacking it using long-range magic. But it was clear that Magic had no effect on this monster. “The most frightening thing about this Monster is its ability to resist magic.” “Resist Magic?” Kate did not understand. “Look there…!!” Kate looked at the monster. She could see the monster getting attacked from many sides. All long-range magic attacks were completely useless against this monster. Every attack hit the body due to its sheer size, but it shows no sign of pain or slowing down. It just continued to destroy everything in its surroundings as if the cultivators around it did not exist. “But how is this even possible?” Kate covered her mouth, and her eyes widened with a look of shock. “Tentaculon is very slow. Despite being a Peak 5th-order monster, this Tentaculon is slower than a Peak 2nd-order cultivator or a Peak 2nd-order monster.”

“When these monsters evolved, they sacrificed their agility and magic in exchange for one innate skill that every Tentaculon is born with.” “It’s an ability called 99% Magic Resistance. The power of any and every magic attack is reduced by 99%.” Hearing this, Kate’s face turned pale. Her fingers started to tremble. “Then how are we supposed to stop this thing?” Laura did not reply. Instead, she observed the Tentaculon for a few minutes. She noticed that even though the monster itself was slow, its smaller tentacles could move at a frightening speed. “The main weakness of this monster seems to be its eye. But this monster has so many tentacles that I don’t think any ordinary cultivator could land any attack at the center of its eye. Even if all cultivators worked together tried, the chances of success will still be very slim.”

They noticed some cultivators trying to cut its tentacles. When they started attacking it physically, the monster finally attacked them with its tentacles. “The Second option would be to find the magic triangle that was used to summon this monster. As long as the triangle is destroyed or some parts of it erased, then this monster will return to its realm.” “And our last and least desirable option is that we have to hold on until the summoning time is over.” It was summoned here on a temporary basis. “Kate, stay here and control the situation. I will go and help others.” Laura was about to swim towards the monster when several figures blocked her path. There was a total of six figures standing in her path. “I was wondering who could summon The Abyssal Eye, but now I have a clear answer.” It was Atlas, Aine, and four others who blocked her path. “As expected….!!!” Atlas and others grinned. Right now, every Peak 5th-order cultivator and lower-order cultivator is busy trying to stop this monster from destroying the entire capital.

No one wanted their home to be destroyed. “It’s nice to meet you.” Atlas had to take a moment to admire her beauty. Despite clearly looking sick and thin, she was still as beautiful and graceful as ever. “Atlas, stop wasting time.” It was a cold voice. He had the Aura of malice.

The man then removed his hood. It was a Half-Dragon.

Laura could tell this from this Man’s Aura. He was 5 feet 7 inches tall, with long, golden blond hair that cascaded down to his shoulders. He had a horizontal scar across his face. His ordinary face seemed clever, featuring a large, slightly crooked nose and small, twitchy ears.

His piercing amber eyes glowed with a dangerous intensity as he stared at Laura. His scaly hands had sharp nails that looked ready to tear flesh. “Evan, don’t ruin my time.” Atlas was slightly embarrassed and pissed at Evan. Other members rolled their eyes. “Idiot, we don’t have time. We have to capture her and get out of her before anything unexpected happens.” Besides, that monster wasn’t staying here and keeping everyone distracted for hours. The Abyssal Eye was only staying here for a few more minutes. “Alright!!” Atlas removed his cloak, revealing his golden armor. Evan took out two dark red daggers and got ready as well. Everyone else also got ready. “Kate, leave!!” Laura did not want to put Kate in danger. “But…..!!” She could tell that these guys were really dangerous.

“Go and tell others what I have told you about this monster. This crucial information has to be shared to hold this monster back. And also send someone to bring Aditya.” Hearing Aditya’s name, everyone became tense. The faces of Atlas, Evan, Aine, and others became serious. “We cannot let that happen!” “Aine, stop that woman!!” Before Kate could react, a black snake came out of the ground and wrapped around Kate’s body. The snake immediately bit Kate. The poison immediately paralyzed Kate. “Kate…..!!” Laura tried to save Kate when Evan and Atlas attacked her. Laura had no choice but to dodge. She jumped back. She couldn’t even land on the ground when a bolt of poison almost hit her. Fortunately, she managed to react in time and move her head out of the way. Water Vortex!!!

Laura was about to use a powerful attack to get a diversion so that she could get an opening to heal Kate. As she channeled Mana in her right palm, unexpectedly, she started coughing. Cough…!!! Cough…!!!!!

She coughed a mouthful of blood. ‘Dammit! Why now?’ Laura cursed her luck. The timing couldn’t have been more wrong. This distraction was enough. A black snake wrapped itself around her ankle and pulled her leg forward, which caused her to stumble forward while coughing blood. Before she could stabilize her body, one of the members appeared behind her and grabbed her neck. “Do it, Avelina!!!” The woman named Avelina put a Rune Talisman on Laura’s neck. As soon as the talisman paper touched her neck, Laura was paralyzed. Kate, who was lying on the ground, helplessly watched everything. No matter how much she tried, she could not move her body. Instead, she felt, with each passing second, that her body was getting heavier.

It was starting to become difficult for her to keep her eyes open. “La…!!!” “Our Mission is over. Let’s leave!!” Avelina picked Laura on her right shoulder and began walking away with the rest of the members.
