Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3092 Obliged

*Bzzzz!~*

Level Nine Immortal King Soul undulations reverberated across the cave and roared outside, causing many people to raise their brows in pure astonishment.

”The Emperor of Deathʼs cultivation speed is truly astonishing…”

Fairy Thunderblaze uttered with a wry smile behind her purple veil, ”It seems like— I have to be careful now.”

Myria shot her an indifferent glance before returning her gaze to the middle of the mountain, where he carved a hole. His undulations shouldʼve attracted a Feral Beast Horde. However, the intensity of it completely left everyone present floored, and the instinctual Feral Beasts knew better than to be near these tyrannical undulations.

On the other hand, Vereina gawked.

She had just surpassed him in cultivation and felt so proud, but he managed to catch up to her.

She had her unique soul physique, but what did he have this kind of ridiculous improvement? It didnʼt make sense to her.

Sometime later, Davis walked out of the cave, appearing refreshed as he took a deep breath of the dense heaven and earth energy.

However, it was a pity the moment he tried to digest them, they just ended up slipping away from him, refusing to be a part of him as though they had their own will.

He smirked lightly and rose to the skies, nearing the mountain peak as he saw the Solar Reverence shroud the world in its magnificence.

It was dawn, and combined with his new cultivation at the Level Nine Immortal King Soul Stage, he was completely at peace, knowing that a Kingly Monarch would try to behave in his presence even without facing him in battle.

ʼIʼve yet to solidify my cultivation, but… itʼs not lacking to the current situation…ʼ

Davis chuckled as he inwardly thought before turning to look back.

A white-robed man sat on the cliff as he nibbled on a blade of grass, appearing carefree and laidback before he spat it out to the side and opened his mouth.

”Congratulations, fellow disciple Feng Chu. You have successfully reached a level where you can walk with your head high in the First Haven World, and as long as there is nothing but Immortal Kings here, I think you can reign supreme.”

”Aha.” Davis laughed, ”That name brings back some memories of when he fought for the first time. At that time, I was in awe over your Imposing Sword Laws, and I still am impressed by your straightforward path in Sword Laws.”

”No… Iʼm still lacking.” Niel Bladeheart stood up, stretching his shoulders, ”Before, we were in the same cultivation level, but I couldnʼt reach your prowess. Now, you have surpassed me in cultivation, and I have yet to make progress. This concerns me a bit as I think I would die here sooner or later, so would you spar with me? Battling you would really improve my techniques.”

He reached his hand to his back and grasped his sword. It seemed to be different from his family heirloom, allowing Davis to comprehend that this man truly abandoned his trump cards to appear here.

Itʼs a do-or-die decision. Although foolish, it was well worthy of applause in Davisʼs mind.

However, Davis shook his head.

”If you want to spar me, try defeating Garoe Rynn first.”

”…”

Niel Bladeheart couldnʼt help but smile as he released the sword from his grasp, ”Spoken like a true warrior. Donʼt forget your words.”

”I wouldnʼt. However, letʼs see if youʼre still alive by that time.”

”Aha~ A good point. It didnʼt take much to realize how weak I am here with my Level Seven Immortal Stage Cultivation, so Iʼll retract my previous words and continue to journey with you unless you want to exile me for being a burden.”

Davis lightly shook his head, ”Weʼre fellow disciples, and I believe you have taught my Tanya a few insights into comprehending Imposing Sword Laws. Having received that kind of favor, Iʼm obligated to help you.”

”Many thanks~” Niel Bladeheart cupped his hands, ”I do not wish to be a burden, so Iʼll take advantage of this opportunity to repay later.”

”Sure.”

Davis nodded, causing Niel Bladeheart to jump over the cliff and descend towards the group while Davis still hovered before the peak.

ʼWell, even if you want to leave, Iʼm obliged to look after you…ʼ

Davis couldnʼt help but remember what had happened after he had broken through Level Seven Immortal King Stage in Essence Gathering Cultivation and Body Tempering Cultivation.

At that time, he was accommodated by the Zyrus Family a few hours before leaving their city. He had just entered Level Seven Immortal King Stage and was yet to even begin consolidating when he abruptly opened his eyes, his gaze shook as he saw two golden-robed individuals present before him.

The golden-robed man had just touched his sword when Davis also stood up in reaction.

The mindboggling thing that happened was that they both stopped halfway in whatever they were doing, their eyes wide as they looked at each other with an extreme and fierce gaze.

”…”

The golden-robed manʼs expression twitched.

He couldnʼt believe he, a Level Nine Immortal Emperor, was feeling constricted by a certain emotion called… fear by a mere Immortal King junior. It was like this vague sense of anxiety overtook his heart when the youth in front of him reacted to his sword drawn.

He felt like he could draw his sword if he wanted to, but somewhere in his heart that sank deeply into a spiral of dooming thoughts, he believed that drawing his sword would also mean his demise.

”Unbelievable… you really were not bullshitting when you said you have the capability to make everyone suffer with your death.”

”It is remarkable that a sword cultivatorʼs senses are so sharp…”

”Whatʼs truly sharp are your senses…”

The golden-robed man shook his head, now knowing how Davis found their presence when he shouldnʼt be able to sense their movements or intents. On the other hand, Davis lightly chuckled as he perspired, rubbing the sweat away from his forehead, knowing that he was just a hairʼs line away from facing death as he felt like his existenceʼs flow had been cut off from the bubble of fate present around him.

It was hard to explain, but he imagined it as though he couldnʼt see himself making another move anymore, whether it be waving his hand or opening his mouth to sound out. Therefore, he instantly locked on the other party with his Death God Sense, ready to unleash Fallen Heavenʼs otherworldly powers on them.

But by some miracle, the both of them didnʼt unleash their moves, only after which Davis looked at the two people before him with scrutiny.

”And then… to what do I owe the pleasure of meeting two Immortal Emperors at the peak? Donʼt tell me I have offended you two someho-”

Davisʼs brows suddenly shot wide as he felt like there was a resemblance in the manʼs appearance.

”Youʼre Niel Bladeheartʼs relative? Grandfather? Ancestor?”

”Iʼm his father, Cien Bladeheart.”

”Likewise, Niel Bladeheartʼs one and only mother, Cynthia Bladeheart.”

The golden-robed womanʼs voice echoed with a melodious tone after the manʼs firm voice fell, causing Davis to turn speechless.𝐧𝗈𝗏𝓮𝐥𝑢𝑠𝗯.𝑐𝗈𝗆

How come Niel Bladeheartʼs parents were so powerful? That carefree man never bragged about this.

However, what did Niel Bladeheartʼs parents want from him? Could it be that they came to eliminate his competition?
