Chapter 405: Chapter 405: Coming to Blows

From the very first time they met Lin Yun, the Monk and Daoist had never once gotten the upper hand. Every single time, they were utterly crushed and swindled by him.

This time was even more tragic. Their bodies had been seen completely naked. On the way to the guest rooms, the Monk and Daoist saw the Mo Family maid who was escorting them cover her mouth and let out a little chuckle.

After changing their clothes, the Monk roared in anger, ”I can’t take it anymore! If I don’t flay that brat Lin Yun alive today, how will I ever be able to face myself again?”

Hearing this, the Daoist chimed in, ”That’s right! We must have our revenge today.”

After returning to the Eastern Heart Domain from the Mysterious Forest, their masters had cured them of the Black Blood Pill’s poison. Since then, the Monk and Daoist had indeed spent the last half-year or so training bitterly every single day.

Their masters even thought that their trip had somehow made the two of them diligent. Little did they know, it was all thanks to Lin Yun.

Because they had been swindled by Lin Yun countless times on their journey, the two had come to fully understand the importance of strength. After returning to the Eastern Heart Domain, it was as if they were completely different people. They no longer chased women or slacked off, but instead cultivated with extreme diligence every day.

In the past half-year, the Monk and Daoist had indeed made enormous progress. Their cultivation had broken through to the Primordial Ocean Realm, and with the help of their masters’ elixirs and Spirit Grass, both the Monk and Daoist had now reached the Fifth Layer of the Primordial Ocean Realm.

Fuming, they stomped all the way to the main hall. When they arrived at the entrance and saw Lin Yun still sitting there completely at ease, eating and drinking, the rage in the hearts of the Monk and Daoist erupted like a volcano. They immediately roared at Lin Yun.

”Lin Yun, get your ass out here! Today, we fight to the death!”

Their shouts interrupted the conversation in the main hall. Everyone immediately turned their gaze to the furiously scowling Monk and Daoist standing outside the door.

Glances went from the Monk and Daoist, to Lin Yun, and finally to the Semi-Evil Daoist Master and Abbot Lian Fo. However, the two old masters acted as if they hadn’t heard a thing, showing no intention of speaking up.

Seeing the Semi-Evil Daoist Master and Abbot Lian Fo’s reaction, Lin Yun understood. ’They probably want their disciples to teach me a harsh lesson and win back some face for them.’

Sneering inwardly, Lin Yun calmly and slowly walked out into the main courtyard. The three of them stood ten meters apart. A faint smile playing on his lips, Lin Yun said, ”You want to fight me to the death?”

”That’s right! We’re settling all scores, new and old, today!” the Monk said angrily.

The Monk and Daoist were currently burning with rage. Coupled with their extreme confidence in their current strength, they completely forgot to even sense Lin Yun’s cultivation level.

As soon as the words fell, the Monk and Daoist attacked Lin Yun in unison. The Elemental Power that erupted from them in that instant was terrifying, on a completely different level from when they were in the Mysterious Forest.

”Alright. If you want a fight, I’ll indulge you.” With a low shout, Lin Yun unleashed the full power of his cultivation—Seventh Layer of the Primordial Ocean Realm—without holding anything back.

”Seventh Layer of the Primordial Ocean Realm...!” Only now, as Lin Yun unleashed his Elemental Power, did the Monk and Daoist realize he had actually broken through to the Seventh Layer of the Primordial Ocean Realm. His cultivation was higher than theirs.

’Is this guy a monster? How does he cultivate?’ The Monk and Daoist knew very well that back in Yanhuang Country, Lin Yun’s cultivation had clearly been lower than theirs.

Who would have known that after not seeing him for just over half a year, Lin Yun’s cultivation would actually surpass theirs—and this was despite them cultivating day and night without rest.

It was like a bucket of cold water being poured over their heads. The Monk and Daoist despaired in their hearts. ’The heavens must be blind! We’ve cultivated so painstakingly, yet now even our cultivation levels can’t compare to Lin Yun’s!’

While the three of them were fighting fiercely in the main courtyard, no one in the main hall was paying attention. In the eyes of these Celestial Spirit Realm and Spirit Realm experts, the fight between Lin Yun and the others was nothing more than children squabbling.

Even the youngest among them, Song Tianyang, had no interest in watching the battle. In his heart, the only ones who mattered were the other four of the Five Great Demon Fiends.

”Young people are bound to be hot-headed. Just let them fight. Consider it a bit of entertainment for the banquet,” Wan Tai said with a smile.

Hearing this, the Semi-Evil Daoist Master and Abbot Lian Fo both nodded slightly. From their expressions, one could not discern any hint of anger.

This was only natural. As supreme experts of the Spirit Realm, who would waste their time getting angry at juniors? That would be like having nothing better to do.

While the people in the main hall chatted, Elemental Power raged wildly in the courtyard outside. The three fighters frequently unleashed their killing moves, and by now, all three had drawn their respective Spirit Soldiers.

Lin Yun wielded the Demon Bone Heaven-Dominating Spear, the Monk his long staff, and the Daoist his duster.

”Lin Yun, I refuse to believe I’m no match for you!” The huge disparity was making the Monk want to vomit blood. ’This is so fucking humiliating! I could blame being lazy for losing before, but what does it mean when I still can’t win now?’

The Monk and Daoist attacked Lin Yun like madmen. Facing their frenzied assault, Lin Yun consistently used the Red Flame Spear Technique to hold them off.

As if in a true life-or-death battle, the Monk and Daoist had long since seen red.

Parrying the Daoist’s attack, Lin Yun immediately threw a punch that sent him flying back a dozen meters. With a turn of his spear, Lin Yun aimed at the nearby Monk and uttered a low shout, ”Dual Dragon World Destruction.”

Seeing Lin Yun begin to gather power for Dual Dragon World Destruction, the Monk didn’t dare to be careless. He had witnessed Lin Yun’s combat power before. He immediately activated his Buddhist Golden Body.

The Monk’s Buddhist Golden Body was clearly much more powerful now than it was back in Yanhuang Country. His entire body seemed to be enveloped in a golden light, making it extremely dazzling.

After gathering power for a few breaths, two dragon shadows instantly shot out from the Demon Bone Heaven-Dominating Spear, their heaven-shaking roars echoing through the air.

The Monk may have improved, but had Lin Yun not progressed as well? The Dual Dragon World Destruction of today was a completely different concept from the one he had just created back in the Mysterious Forest.

The two dragon shadows, one red and one purple, roared as they charged toward the Monk. Sensing the ferocious energy contained within the dragon shadows, the Monk couldn’t help but swallow nervously. He cursed aggrievedly in his heart.

’Dammit, there’s no justice in this world! Were you sent by the heavens just to punish me, the Monk? I’ll go all out against you!’

Amidst the draconic roars, Dual Dragon World Destruction slammed viciously into the Monk’s Buddhist Golden Body. In that instant, a terrifying wave of energy swept out in all directions.

Just as the energy storm—powerful enough to easily destroy the entire courtyard—began to form, Abbot Lian Fo, who was seated in the main hall, waved his sleeve. A barrier of golden energy enveloped Lin Yun and the Monk, trapping the two of them inside.

By preventing the violent energy from affecting anyone else with a simple wave of his sleeve, Abbot Lian Fo had suppressed the energy from both Lin Yun and the Monk. It was clear that his cultivation was truly profound.

He only prevented the energy from spilling out, but he didn’t stop the fight between Lin Yun and the Monk. At that moment, the two dragon shadows, like frenzied dragons, opened their cavernous mouths to bite down on the Monk, who had put his hands together like an old monk chanting sutras.

The dragon shadows and the golden light clashed. As the Dual Dragon World Destruction tried to bite through and shatter the Monk’s golden light, it continuously emitted resounding draconic roars.
