Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

For Princess Mira, she was having a blast that day, but...

”Why are we here?”

Standing by the sea at night, Princess Mira couldn’t help but shrink back.

”And why did we buy all these weird camping tools... Are we going to camp by the sea?”

It’s no wonder Princess Mira would ask this, for now, she’s dressed in cold-resistant climbing gear, with a sleeping bag and tent next to her, but camping by the sea is just too odd.

However, Fang Zheng didn’t answer her question, instead chuckling.

”Miss Mira, you’re the Princess of Visbania, aren’t you?”

”Yes, I am.”

”Then do you know what princesses are often associated with in fairy tales?”

”...? Mmm...”

Although Fang Zheng’s question seemed a bit off-track, Mira furrowed her brows and pondered.

”What’s related to princesses in fairy tales are knights and giant dragons.”

”Have you heard stories like this? A princess offers herself as a sacrifice to a giant dragon to protect her kingdom.”

”I think I’ve seen it... But does it have anything to do with what we’re doing now?”

Mira looked at Fang Zheng perplexed, completely puzzled by his meaning, while Fang Zheng just chuckled.

”So, Your Royal Highness, are you willing to offer yourself to the giant dragon for your kingdom?”

”No, I’m not.”

”...Why not?”

”Because I don’t want to be a King at all, I just want to catch the murderer who killed Mother and Elder Brother! Let them face the deserved punishment!”

Speaking of this, Mira clenched her fists tightly.

”I would never sacrifice myself for the country! It’s absolutely foolish! Mother once told me, as royalty, we must soar together with our people!”

”But you’re willing to make a deal with the devil?”

”Of course, as long as it helps me get revenge, whether it’s a devil or a giant dragon doesn’t matter! Because I deeply love my mother and elder brother, so for them, I’m willing to sacrifice anything!”

Saying this here, Mira suddenly lowered her head gloomily.

”But for the country... I really don’t know what to do. I never thought about what I could do for this country because the one originally supposed to inherit the throne was Elder Brother. And I just hoped to live a normal life, so now suddenly considering these things... I really don’t know what to do.”

This Princess’ mind indeed is interesting.

Hearing Mira’s answer, Fang Zheng nodded. Though Mira’s words slightly surprised him, on second thought it wasn’t unexpected. In ancient times, even princesses had political marriage obligations. But nowadays, that’s not the case; if you aren’t the first in line, you really don’t have to consider this.

After all, Charles has been Crown Prince for fifty years without becoming King.

Therefore, though Mira was born into the royal family, her life is no different from that of commoners. Suddenly asking her to become a Queen is like asking Ran to become the Prime Minister of Japan when she’s deciding which university to attend — she’d probably be bewildered, unsure of what to do.

But, a little tough love is necessary.

”Then, it’s up to you to decide now, Princess Mira.”

As Fang Zheng spoke, the next moment, Mira suddenly felt a gust of wind rushing towards her, prompting her to instinctively reach out to shield herself. When Mira lifted her head again, she was stunned — beneath the moonlight on the beach, a massive giant dragon stood, lowering its head with golden eyes staring at Mira.

”Alright, Princess Mira, now we can discuss this issue properly. Princess and the giant dragon, are you willing to offer yourself as a sacrifice to seek my help?”

”Eh? Eh? Eh?!”

Looking at the pitch-black giant dragon before her, Mira was momentarily speechless, staring wide-eyed at the black dragon. She even reached out to touch its body.

”Wait, wait, why is there really a dragon here, are you Fang Zheng? Are you a dragon? What is going on here?”

”Let’s deal with the matter at hand first.”

Looking at the curious Princess Mira, Fang Zheng rolled his eyes helplessly. This Princess indeed has a big heart. While when Akemi, Little Ai, and Belmod saw him like this, they were so scared they couldn’t speak, here Mira is all wide-eyed as if she’s in Disneyland watching some famous cosplay...

”So, what do you think, Miss Mira?”

”Hmm...”

Hearing this, Mira seemed to finally come to her senses, watching the giant dragon in front of her nervously clutching her clothes.

”Um... as a sacrifice, does that mean being eaten?”

”In another sense, yes, eaten in bed with clothes off.”

”Is, is that what you mean?!”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s answer, Mira’s face instantly blushed.

”How, how indecent!”

”Do you think the dragons in fairy tales capture princesses for what? Do you really think it’s to make them servants?”

Saying this, Fang Zheng lowered his head, opening his huge, gaping mouth toward Mira.

”Or do you think there’s a better way to eat them?”

”..........”

Mira tightly clasped her hands together at her chest and shook her head hard.

”Then think about it carefully. As I said before, though I am not the Devil, if you want me, the Giant Dragon, to help you, of course there’s a price to pay. Naturally, you can choose to give up. I can introduce a renowned Detective to help you. Although he’s just a mortal, he’s quite skilled in these matters — it’s your choice, but remember, if you make a choice, you must bear the consequences.”

Fang Zheng said this and looked at Mira again.

”So, what’s your choice?”

”..........”

Mira lowered her head and thought for a moment, then clenched her fist and showed a triumphant smile.

”Isn’t this perfect! Wicked criminals dying in the dragon’s flames, it’s practically the best script! I agree!”

”Great, it seems you’ve made up your mind.”

The Giant Dragon extended a forepaw.

”Alright, come on up, and remember to bring the sleeping bag and tent.”

”Speaking of which, I haven’t asked you, what exactly are these things for?”

There’s no denying Mira is indeed carefree, only a moment passed and she immediately regained her composure, reverting back to her previous demeanor — Her Royal Highness truly embodies the Royal Clan’s demeanor.

”They’re for you to rest. Once inside, just crawl into the sleeping bag and sleep.”

At this point, Fang Zheng really had no choice, if this world had magic it would be one thing, but since there isn’t, he’d have to consider a series of issues including temperature and air pressure when taking someone to the sky. Oxygen is too thin, it’s no good, temperature is too low, it’s no good either.

”Then I’ll take you home.”

”Home? You mean... back to Visbania?”

Princess Mira wasn’t foolish and quickly understood Fang Zheng’s meaning.

”Exactly.”

”But... you won’t get lost, will you?”

”Don’t worry, I have GPS positioning, there’s no way I’ll get lost.”

”.... Dragons use GPS as well...”

”It’s simple, convenient, and handy — why not use it?”

”..........”

Ultimately, Princess Mira changed clothes, hid inside the sleeping bag in the tent, then Fang Zheng grabbed the tent, swiftly slicing through the water, flying toward the direction of Visbania.

At first, Princess Mira excitedly peeked out to look at the night sky and ocean, after all, flying on the sea at night with a Dragon is something no one has ever experienced before, but after previous frenzied play, Princess Mira’s physical strength had been exhausted, making it hard to feel more excitement. After screaming her lungs out towards the sea for a while, Princess Mira fell fast asleep, leaving Fang Zheng to follow the GPS directions, reaching Visbania without much time.

Visbania is located in Eastern Europe, geographically bordered by Romania and Ukraine. Of course, on Fang Zheng’s previous Earth, this country didn’t exist, but in this world it clearly does, sized similarly to Serbia, making it just a small country in Europe.

But none of that was important to Fang Zheng, in fact, at his speed, Fang Zheng had already brought Mira sneakily landing near Visbania’s capital before dawn.

Meanwhile, in Tokyo, Conan’s group was anxiously waiting.

Though under Fang Zheng’s threat, Count Geese dared not take Ran hostage, but Ran being a kind girl, felt sorry to let them bear responsibility for the princess’s disappearance, not to mention partly blaming herself for it, so she volunteered to stay as a stand-in. And since Ran decided to stay, Conan and Kogoro naturally didn’t leave either, ending up spending the night in the hotel room only to find the princess hadn’t returned.

”Seriously, where has that lad taken the princess?!”

Kogoro was also complaining impatiently, while Count Geese was drinking cup after cup of coffee, showing anxious unease between his brows.

”Ding ding ding!”

Just then, Conan’s phone suddenly rang. Hearing the ringtone, everyone gathered around eagerly as Conan opened the phone to find, unsurprisingly, a text message.

”Home. Don’t worry.”

”What home? We haven’t seen anyone so far!”

Looking at the text, Kogoro grumbled again, while Conan deftly opened the attached photo, unsurprisingly showing Fang Zheng and Princess Mira, who looked almost identical to Ran, standing in front of a statue, posing like tourists with V-signs.

”Where is this? Doesn’t look like Japan.”

Looking at the clearly European-style architecture in the photo’s background, Kogoro was puzzled, while Count Geese was shocked.

”Is this... Visbania? They returned to Visbania?”

”What?!”

Upon hearing this, Ran, Conan, and Kogoro were all stunned.

Is there really such an operation?
