Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

It must be said, when Fang Zheng initiated the attack, Gin and the others were truly shocked.

The most important thing is - they didn’t expect the opponent would actually dare to do this!

To know that on their side were three people, the opponent was only one person, how did it turn around so it seemed like we were surrounded by him?

But at this moment, the battle had already begun.

Gunfire erupted, and flames shot everywhere.

Gin, Vodka, and Belmod hurriedly raised their guns to shoot at Fang Zheng, while Fang Zheng moved forward slowly, extending his hands left and right, unleashing a barrage of shots to both sides. Under his suppression, the three of them could only hide behind the car, motionless.

Yes, this is the feeling.

Standing in the parking lot, Fang Zheng’s mood was extremely good. He could feel, as he pulled the trigger again, an invisible pressure emerging from all directions, rushing towards him. But this time, that mysterious force disappeared like a breeze the moment it touched his body.

Satisfying!

It seems that his hypothesis was correct. Indeed, as ’main storyline characters’ in this world, these three were protected by the Will of the World, but Fang Zheng was not like those useless police or random people, he was also the main character 47!

No matter how important a main storyline character is, they’re ultimately just NPCs; can they compare to the main character?

Of course not!

And with the suppression of the Will of the World gone, Fang Zheng exhibited his true strength. He would not be as miserable as when he first encountered Gin and was pitted by the Will of the World. He brandished his Silver Dancer, firing one bullet after another. With each motion, flashes of fire emerged in front of Fang Zheng, blooming like fireworks and then disappearing.

”Damn it, Boss, why isn’t he injured?”

Vodka finished shooting all the bullets in his gun and retreated, complaining. He clearly aimed at the design of the opponent, yet Fang Zheng stood there completely unscathed!

”Didn’t you see the sparks around him? That’s him deflecting your bullets!”

Gin quickly retreated his body, changing the magazine as he replied. Although he didn’t possess the terrifying eyesight and reflexes beyond ordinary people like Fang Zheng, Gin could guess. However, hearing Gin’s answer, Vodka was shocked.

”You’re kidding!”

Though Vodka could understand Gin’s words, because of that, he found it increasingly unacceptable. According to Gin, the opponent directly used his own handgun to hit the bullet fired by him, then deflecting it?

Is this something humans can do?!

”Click.”

At that moment, Fang Zheng’s Silver Dancer made a crisp clicking sound, and then he raised both guns, and the magazines fell in response.

”Boss, he’s out of bullets!”

Seeing this scene, Vodka was excited to charge up, but at this moment, Gin held him back.

However, Gin didn’t manage to hold back Belmod on the other side, she also emerged from behind the car, raised her pistol, and aimed at Fang Zheng.

Not good!

Seeing Belmod’s action, Gin’s heart sank, urgently shouting.

”Belmod, watch out for his throwing knives!!”

Belmod, as a veteran of the organization, sensed something was wrong hearing Gin’s warning, and almost at the same moment Gin spoke, Fang Zheng suddenly raised his left hand, and a streak of cold light swiftly flew out from the darkness!

”Ah--!!”

Accompanied by a harsh scream, Belmod immediately fell to her knees, covering her cheek with one hand, rolling swiftly on the ground, and then quickly retreating behind the car.

This can’t continue!

Seeing even Belmod fall, Gin’s heart sank deeper. Now he had to worry not only about the man before him but also the police. After all, the explosion and fire in the old building were not trivial matters; originally, they intended to quickly resolve the man who saw through Pisco’s identity and leave. But now, it’s turned into this, if the police arrive, it’ll be trouble!

”Vodka, cover me!”

Thinking like this, Gin made up his mind, he reached into his coat, pulled out a grenade, and directly threw it towards Fang Zheng. Fang Zheng did not hesitate to raise his left hand with the Silver Dancer and pulled the trigger at the flying grenade.

”Boom!”

The grenade exploded suddenly; in that instant of fire blossoming, Vodka and Gin immediately rushed out from behind cover, running swiftly towards the nearby Porsche. At the same moment, Belmod also leaped out, rushing to the rear.

Both sides acted in an instant, and even with the obscured view by the flames, Fang Zheng still narrowed his eyes, moving his right hand with the Silver Dancer, pulling the trigger again at the smoke and flames of the explosion.

”Thud!”

”Ugh!!”

A splash of blood exploded on Gin’s shoulder, and Gin grunted, without hesitation, directly driving into the car. Meanwhile, Belmod also pulled open the car door and jumped inside. Then Vodka floored the gas pedal, the pitch-black Porsche shot out of the parking lot like an arrow released from a bow, quickly heading towards the depths of the street.

”Boss, are you alright!”

While driving the car, Vodka anxiously peeked at Gin, while Gin, clutching his wounded shoulder, remained silent, exuding a chilling aura. Seeing Gin in this state, Vodka dared not say more, hurriedly changing the topic.

”Belmod, you..........”

However, Vodka didn’t finish his sentence because he already saw Belmod lower the right hand covering her bleeding cheek. But not only that, more startling was her right hand was still holding an ear!

”I will definitely avenge this grudge...!!!”

Staring intently at the ear in her hand, Belmod gritted her teeth. Just now, Fang Zheng’s knife nearly exploded her head; although Belmod swiftly dodged the vital area, the knife still grazed her, severing her right ear.

To Belmod, this was an immense disgrace!

This cannot be let go; this time they failed, but next time, they will make that bastard aware of the true power of the organization......

”Bang!!”

Yet at this moment, the rear window of the Porsche suddenly shattered, everyone was startled, turning urgently to look. They saw a pitch-black Mercedes closely following, tailing them relentlessly.

”Boss, he’s still on us!”

”Lose him!!”

Looking at the pursuer in the rear-view mirror, Gin was exceedingly frustrated. In fact, until now, both sides had spilled blood in their life-and-death fight, and they still didn’t know why the other side was going so hard against them. Was it the CIA? FBI? Or MI6? It didn’t seem likely, those organizations shouldn’t start such a rash conflict on the streets.

Could it be an enemy force of the organization?

That makes sense, but in the Dark World, which force could possibly go up against the organization like this?

Of course, now’s not the time to think about these problems. The Mercedes behind us is relentlessly pursuing, and Vodka in front has been fueled by rage, driving wildly.

They’ve always been the chasers; now they’re the ones being chased so disastrously?

Both sides seem to have lost their minds, Vodka driving sometimes against traffic, sometimes onto overpasses, racing wherever the cars are densest. Yet Fang Zheng drives closely behind, tirelessly pursuing... By the way, Gin’s damn car must be modified; otherwise, how can his old Porsche 365A outrun my Mercedes?

Are you kidding me!

”Boom!!”

Finally, at a curve, Fang Zheng’s Mercedes crashed directly into Gin’s Porsche. At this moment, with their tempers flaring, Gin and Belmod raised their guns and started firing shots toward the back.

”Bang bang bang!!!”

The front windshield of the Mercedes shattered with a loud noise, but Fang Zheng, who was supposed to be in the driver’s seat, had disappeared.

”What’s going on?”

Gin paused for a moment as he stared at the empty driver’s seat. Meanwhile, he heard Belmod’s voice filled with fear.

”Gin!”

Upon hearing the tone, Gin looked in the direction Belmod was pointing, and finally saw Fang Zheng had emerged from the sunroof of the Mercedes, an RPG strapped over his shoulder, aimed at the Porsche ahead.

This is a madman!

”Jump out!”

Soon after, the rocket shot forward with a trail of white smoke and dove into the speeding Porsche ahead.

”Boom!!”

The pitch-black Porsche instantly exploded, breaking through the highway’s guardrail, and together with the Mercedes behind it, they plummeted off the overpass into a burning inferno.

Fang Zheng walked to the edge of the bridge slowly, frowned as he looked at the flames below.

How the hell did they still manage to escape?

Three stories high, if they don’t die, they should at least be half-dead.

Although it’s a pity that I didn’t put all three of them to rest, I’ve learned the trick. Anyway, let’s call it a day; after all, I got what I wanted.

Thinking this, Fang Zheng reached into his pocket and felt the capsule, then turned around and left.

When Fang Zheng finally got back home, it was late at night.

That’s not because he was lazy. After that, Fang Zheng responded as a special consultant with the Metropolitan Police Department, directing officers all around to search, hoping to find traces or clues about Gin and the others. Unfortunately, they found nothing, and the three disappeared as if vanished into thin air.

Of course, Fang Zheng didn’t forget to use his personal terminal to update Akemi Miyano and Little Ai about the results of the mission. When they heard that Fang Zheng chased down Gin, Vodka, and Belmod to the point of no return, even blowing up Gin’s car with an RPG, both were stunned speechless...

Although no bodies or clues were found at the scene, Fang Zheng was sure that in the next couple of weeks, those three wouldn’t dare come out.

”Yo, I’m back.”

”Welcome back.”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s voice, Little Ai hurriedly ran out, pulling Fang Zheng to inspect him carefully.

”Are you hurt?”

”Minor injuries, nothing serious. Belmod’s worse off; now she’s a one-eared woman.”

”That woman won’t let you off easily.”

Upon hearing this, Little Ai frowned and spoke softly, while Fang Zheng sneered.

”I won’t let her off either. Next time she appears, she’ll lose more than an ear. Next time, I’ll keep her head... Oh, right.”

As Fang Zheng spoke, he took a capsule out of his pocket.

”Found this on Pisco; it should be the one, unless it’s Quick-Acting Heart-Saving Pills, which would be a joke.”

”It should be right. I’ll go test it.”

”What about Shinichi Kudou and the others?”

”You mentioned nothing was wrong, so they went back. They have classes tomorrow, but I reckon that Detective must have something he wants to say to you too.”

”Let him be; he just doesn’t know the organization well enough and needs to be spooked by them a few times to realize their strength.”

Fang Zheng responded nonchalantly, then watched as Little Ai headed to the basement lab. He breathed a sigh of relief and returned to his room to turn on the TV, leaning back on the couch to reflect on things.

Although today’s battle with the trio didn’t result in their deaths, Fang Zheng gained a lot of insights about this world and the rules here.

Firstly, Gin and the others are important side characters, but side characters nonetheless. Their priority level can’t surpass that of the protagonist. Whereas 47 has the protagonist’s destiny, certainly unaffected by the world’s constraints.

Secondly, Fang Zheng didn’t kill Gin and the others this time not due to lacking skills, but because... his ”death aura” wasn’t strong enough.

Indeed, during combat, Fang Zheng sensed it. Gin, Vodka, and Belmod are shrouded with a rather dense death aura, which is normal since these three have killed many people, thus their death aura naturally intensified. In contrast, Fang Zheng hasn’t killed many yet in this world, so his aura is weaker.

Thinking this through, maybe that’s why Haibara Ai can sense the organization’s members; perhaps she’s sensitive to this kind of death aura.

For Gin and others, this death aura acts like a ”Negative Energy Shield,” a buff that dampens or nullifies Fang Zheng’s ”Instant Death” attacks. So even if Fang Zheng switches to 47’s Soulstone, he could only injure them, not kill.

The simplest and direct way to break through this buff is to have a stronger death aura, meaning killing more than Gin and Belmod.

That’s quite troubling. To inflict mass carnage in short time, war is naturally the best approach. But the world is peaceful now, with no war, and indiscriminate killing isn’t right... Hmm... To gain substantial death aura quickly, the best solution is...

While pondering, Fang Zheng looked up at the image of Twin Towers playing on television.

Seeing this, Fang Zheng’s eyes lit up.

Found it.
