Chapter 2195: Chapter 2193: Playing Each Other’s Cards

Looking at the scene before her, Little Ai couldn’t help but think of the monster movie she watched with her sister yesterday.

Under the fiery glow of the crashed helicopter, a gigantic shadow gradually revealed its true form. The flickering orange light illuminated the darkness, reflecting off pitch-black scales, as a monster as massive as a small mountain slowly extended its head, its golden eyes staring intently at the three people in front of it.

Its wings spread out, nearly covering the sky and stars above, blending with the night and giving the illusion of something incomprehensibly vast.

Yes, this was Fang Zheng’s Time Dragon form.

It was also his reward for creating the T-virus.

Because of the T-virus experiments, Umbrella successfully manufactured a series of mutant creatures, thereby introducing a new attribute [Monster] in this Conan World.

Before this, there was no such thing as a monster in the Conan World. The main attributes of the Conan World were [Deduction] and [Science Fiction], but now with the [Monster] attribute, Fang Zheng could transform.

Back in the Fire Dragon World, Fang Zheng had absorbed the Fire Dragon gene, which meant his dragon form contained both [Science Fiction] and [Monster] attributes!

This was another game Fang Zheng was playing with the mastermind behind the scenes.

Similar to a card game, the original rules limited the cards that could be played to [Technology] and [Deduction] types, and both sides only had cards of these two types.

But now Fang Zheng altered the rules, adding a [Monster] attribute, allowing him to draw new cards to the field. If the opponent didn’t have cards with a [Monster] attribute, then Fang Zheng would have a distinct advantage.

Not to mention, Fang Zheng’s hand of cards with both [Technology] and [Monster] attributes not only included his dragon form but also his trump card—the Swarm and Aliens!

The Swarm belongs to high-level interstellar technology, like the Azure Fleet, which can’t be accessed at lower ranks, but Aliens can!

So basically, Fang Zheng needed to increase this world’s [Attributes] as much as possible, then skew them in his favor.

If the opponent only had deck types [Deduction] and [Technology (Low)], then Fang Zheng could continually add [Monster] and [Magic] attributes, summon a bunch of cards, and crush them in one go.

But if the opponent also had similar cards, potentially even higher-ranked ones, then Fang Zheng might find himself losing more than he gains.

For Fang Zheng, this was a card game where he couldn’t know what cards the opponent had or what they might do in their turn, so he could only adapt as he went. In short, since the opponent currently had only a Hero Card without a Trap Card, he seized the opportunity to summon Wings of Death to eliminate the opponent’s “Belmod,” and whatever trap or skill card they might play next turn… well, he’d deal with it then.

In the terminology of card games, the situation was now………

The opposing player “Belmod,” in attack mode, activated a special effect to summon “Armed Helicopter” onto the field, targeting the Miyano sisters.

At this moment, Fang Zheng played a special card, summoned “Wings of Death” onto the field, activated its special effect to destroy the armed helicopter, and attacked Belmod!

Unfortunately, because this world currently lacked magic attributes, Fang Zheng couldn’t use the Time Dragon’s abilities or any magic, but luckily, at least the Fire Dragons of the Fire Dragon Empire could breathe fire—giving him a way out.

Otherwise, a Wings of Death that only wagged its tail and shook its head would be quite pathetic.

“Wha—what is that thing?”

Belmod was stunned, her right hand trembling so much she couldn’t even hold her gun properly. Even though there was no [Magic] attribute, and Fang Zheng couldn’t exert Dragon Might, his imposing presence as a Time Dragon was intimidating enough just by standing there.

Moreover, Belmod probably never imagined, even in her wildest dreams, that as she removed traitors for the organization, a dragon would suddenly appear out of nowhere… What kind of bizarre plot development was this?!

Could it be I’m drunk and dreaming?

Faced with eyes larger than the moon staring at her, Belmod was at a loss for what to do for a moment. She hesitated, ultimately beginning to retreat slowly, attempting to seize an opportunity to escape while Fang Zheng’s attention was diverted.

Yet, as soon as Belmod took a step, a blazing wave of fire nearly singed her scalp as it swept past above her, creating a wall of fire behind, blocking her path.

…………

Belmod glanced at the wall of fire and quietly stopped.

She would rather die than suffer such a pathetic death.

“That… is it really Mr. Fang Zheng?”

Little Ai and Akemi looked at the giant dragon, apprehensive; its enormous size was overwhelming. Just one of its scales was bigger than Little Ai, and both of them combined probably appeared as mere insects in its eyes. Although Fang Zheng had forewarned them, the reality was far more shocking than imagined!!

The dragon silently glanced at them, then suddenly shook its body.

The next moment, the three saw the giant dragon gradually shrink, transforming from a huge dragon into a young man after just a few moments.

“Alright, looks like I arrived just in time.”

Fang Zheng lowered his head, examining his body… well, there were drawbacks to having no magic, but fortunately, he had come prepared.

“Akemi, where are the clothes I asked you to prepare?”

“Ah, please, please wait a moment.”

Akemi snapped back to reality, hurriedly turned away blushing, and retrieved a set of clothing from the bag Little Ai was carrying. Fang Zheng, unfazed, nonchalantly changed clothes in front of the three girls—after all, wasn’t it a pity not to show off such a handsome body?

However, Akemi and Little Ai evidently had no interest in this; Akemi turned away, while Little Ai used her hand to cover her eyes—but come on, if you’re going to cover, do it properly, those gaps between your fingers are as obvious as daylight.

As for Belmod, she didn’t look away, but likely wouldn’t feel anything particular either.

Fang Zheng couldn’t care less.

“Alright, Miss Belmod.”

Fang Zheng finished dressing, stretched lazily, and began to stroll towards Belmod.

“We Mingren don’t speak in riddles, I won’t waste time. You just have to answer one question, where is your organization’s BOSS?”

“…………”

Looking at Fang Zheng, Belmod’s eyes flickered. She tightened her grip on the gun in her hand and then reluctantly relaxed after a moment.

“What exactly is this? Who are you? Just now… that shouldn’t be some kind of trick.”

“That has nothing to do with you. Please answer my question, Miss Belmod.”

Fang Zheng looked at Belmod with cold eyes.

Belmod hesitated for a moment, then chuckled bitterly and shook her head.

“Alright, I’ll tell you, that Master he’s……”

However, Belmod didn’t finish her words. At this moment, she suddenly seemed frozen, unable to make a sound. Seeing this, Fang Zheng raised an eyebrow, while Belmod herself was startled and reached out to touch her throat.

“Cough… cough? That Master he…”

Belmod coughed and tried to speak again, but similarly, after saying “that Master”, she couldn’t produce a sound.

“What’s wrong?”

“Could it be a disguise?”

At this time, Akemi and Little Ai also came over, looking at Belmod with suspicion, wondering if she was deliberately playing tricks—after all, even if they were just peripheral members of the organization, this kind of delaying tactic was too foolish, right?

But at the same time, Belmod’s own face showed an expression of frightened unease. She pressed her throat hard and tried to speak again.

“At………”

“………!!”

But no matter how hard Belmod tried, she seemed unable to make any sound. Then, Belmod threw the gun in her hand, took out her phone from her pocket. Seeing this, Akemi hurriedly picked up her gun to aim at her, while Fang Zheng gestured to her to wait. Belmod opened her phone, seemingly trying to input some information, but soon, she appeared frozen again, as if paused, before returning to normal after a moment.

Then Belmod knelt on the ground, blowing dust hard on the floor, attempting to write something… but as soon as she started to write, her body froze again.

“Alright, Miss Belmod, get up.”

Seeing this, Fang Zheng shook his head, while Belmod looked up at him in horror.

“I’m not doing this on purpose!!”

“I know.”

Fang Zheng nodded, then helplessly spread his hands to the nearby Akemi and Little Ai.

“Seems like we’re not authorized to know the answer to this question.”

“What… what do you mean, Mr. Fang Zheng?”

At this point, Akemi asked in confused suspicion, and Fang Zheng thought for a moment and decided to be direct.

“Have you played computer games? I think you should know that every NPC in a game progresses according to pre-set paths. For example, if I control the player to reach the entrance of the Demon King Castle, according to normal settings, I should defeat five Demon Generals at five locations, obtain five gemstones to open the door, and then defeat the Demon King to rescue the Princess.”

“………So?”

“Our current situation is like impatient players who skip the normal process. We wrote a wall hack to go straight through the door, and because the normal plot wasn’t triggered, we can’t meet the Demon King and Princess inside, nor will the NPCs talk to us…”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng pointed at Belmod.

“Just like now.”

“……………”

Hearing this, everyone was silent, not knowing what to say.

“But I’m human!”

Belmod was getting nervous now.

“I’m not some program!!”

“I was using a metaphor, that’s the gist of it.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng sighed helplessly and looked up at the night sky in frustration.

Actually, in many worlds before, there were similar setups, like doors that couldn’t be opened where you needed a key, but Fang Zheng could just bust them open with a sword. That’s because those worlds were unclaimed worlds. Fang Zheng, possessing the Order Seal, had the highest authority, and naturally could do as he pleased.

However, this world hides an Order Clan with the same Order Seal as him. According to the Goddess of Order, the other party might even be an old hand, making Fang Zheng’s cheating useless…

Do we really have to follow the orthodox path? It would take twenty years and likely still not be done.

Well, it’s not completely impossible.

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng looked at Belmod.

“Then, Miss Belmod, I have something I need you to do………”
