Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

For Tajik Zarlhad, this was a dark day.

”To hell with peace talks!”

He returned to his camp, roaring loudly at his adjutant.

”Those damn traitors! Betrayers! They’ve sold our country to those white pigs and now they want us to talk peace! To hell with peace talks! We will fight those bastards to the last moment, never compromising!”

”But we are running out of funds...”

”Damn it!”

Hearing this, Zarlhad also shouted angrily, slumping into a chair, silent. However, just at that moment, his phone suddenly rang, and Zarlhad picked it up, answering the call.

”Who is it?!”

”Hello, Mr. Zarlhad.”

A very gentle and peaceful voice came from the other side of the phone, speaking in Zarlhad’s native language, but Zarlhad had never heard this voice before.

”Who are you? How do you know my phone number?”

”Who I am is not important; what matters is that I can provide you with everything you want.”

”Hehehe.”

Hearing this, Zarlhad sneered coldly.

”So, a philanthropist after all.”

”No, I am not a philanthropist, merely a peace envoy, a peace envoy standing on the side of the oppressed.”

The other party was unmoved by Zarlhad’s sarcasm.

”I would like to ask Mr. Zarlhad, what is your goal?”

”Does it need asking? Of course, it’s to drive those bastards out of our country!”

”But you know that’s impossible; do you know why?”

”...What do you mean by that?”

Hearing the voice from the other end of the phone, Zarlhad furrowed his brows.

”Because this is not a war, Mr. Zarlhad. Perhaps you don’t like me saying it, but it’s the truth. You see, they fabricated baseless accusations, invaded your homeland, bombed your cities, slaughtered your people. But what can you do? Kill a few soldiers? Blow up a few tanks? What’s the difference? They are soldiers; they are meant to die.”

”...So?”

”So, I will help you turn this into a real war.”

”Then what can you give me? Missiles? Tanks? Or guns and bullets?”

”Hahaha, those are not enough, Mr. Zarlhad.”

The other party chuckled softly.

”Even if you have those, the war still takes place on your soil, and it’s your cities being destroyed, your people being harmed. But what about them? Think about it: while your compatriots wail in the flames of war, what are they doing? Eating chips, drinking cola, watching movies, playing games. When your children die in agony, what are their children doing? Enjoying a beautiful, peaceful, leisurely life. Can you endure it, Mr. Zarlhad? Can you endure all of this?”

”Enough!”

Hearing this, Zarlhad slammed his fist heavily onto the table.

”So what’s next?”

”Reciprocal revenge is what makes a war. Right now, it’s just a one-sided massacre, and your struggles can’t bring them even the slightest harm. Only when their own homes fall into disaster, when they watch their children die in agony, their cities lie in ruins—only then is it called war. Mr. Zarlhad, and I can bring you this war.”

”Commander!”

Just then, his adjutant suddenly screamed, then shoved a fax into Zarlhad’s face. Seeing the numbers on it, Zarlhad was stunned.

”Is this... five billion US Dollars?”

”Consider it a down payment.”

The voice in the phone continued.

”I will provide you with a plan and everything needed for this plan, and all you need to do is implement it. Trust me, Mr. Zarlhad, after this plan, you will be a hero to everyone.”

”...”

At this moment, Zarlhad fell silent.

”Then what do you get from this?”

”Of course, peace. I am the envoy of peace, the Guardian of freedom. So, to protect Earth, to protect humanity, I must eliminate the enemies of freedom, peace, and justice. Isn’t it only natural?”

”Hahahaha, peace envoy, good, I like you as a peace envoy!”

With that, Zarlhad laughed heartily, reaching out to take out a pendant, opening it, glanced at the photo inside, then he gritted his teeth fiercely.

”Tell me about your plan.”

Fang Zheng hung up his personal terminal, looking at the computer screen in front of him, with a slight smile curling his lips.

So far, everything has gone smoothly; now it depends on the results. If it succeeds, it will be the biggest reward for Fang Zheng.

What is the Black Organization?

A group hiding in the dark corners, afraid to be seen, at most assassinating a few politicians or blowing up buildings.

Just this?

You dare to call yourselves an evil dark organization?

Now I will show you who is the true dark organization. FBI? CIA? MI6? Just this?

Laozi’s target is the entirety of America!

Fang Zheng was determined to see, once this plan was implemented, whether he or the Black Organization was the real ultimate boss of this world!

Too bad, Conan is, after all, Japanese, and his activities are limited to just Japan, not even venturing out to East Asia much. So this time, he absolutely cannot detect or thwart my plan.

The only problem left is... the timing issue.

For Fang Zheng, this was a problem.

But for Zahard, this is not a problem.

Or rather, everything is going quite smoothly.

That person prepared everything for them, brand new passports, brand new identities, the best weapons, everything and everything, including operating funds, roadmaps, and plans.

And just thinking about that plan made Zahard excited.

In fact, even when his foot landed on American soil, Zahard couldn’t believe it was all real. He had originally worried that it was all a trap, but the fact was that everyone entered safely, and customs had detected nothing unusual.

Standing in the bustling departure hall, watching the crowd in front of him, Zahard was lost in thought. It reminded him of his hometown’s rundown airport, and in contrast, this place felt like another world. It was at this moment that Zahard suddenly felt a small bump, he looked down and saw a blonde little girl rubbing her nose nervously looking at him.

”Sorry, sir.”

”It’s okay.”

Looking at the little girl in front of him, Zahard smiled, watching the girl joyfully skip away, holding hands with her mother and leaving the departure hall, Zahard smiled slightly.

This girl reminded him of his own daughter, just as cute, so innocent, so beautiful. But she was blown up by an American bomb in the hospital, leaving no remains.

At this thought, Zahard’s face flashed coldly.

That person was right; this isn’t a war, but now, he’s going to make it a war. A real, equal war!

Only when they experience the same pain as him will it truly be called war!

”Ring ring.”

The phone rang, Zahard picked up the phone, and quickly the gentle voice reappeared.

”Hello, Mr. Zahard.”

”Hello, anything else? Mr. Peace Envoy?”

”Nothing, just want you to take a good look at this city.”

”?”

”Look, New York. What a beautiful city, isn’t it? Mr. Zahard, you also once had the opportunity to build a city as beautiful as it, but unfortunately, you couldn’t. But at least you can pull this vampire off its pedestal and let it turn to ash in the light of the sun.”

”... That’s exactly what we want to do!”

Saying this, Zahard clenched his fist.

”Good, then fight for our common goal.”

”Exactly.”

Zahard hung up the phone, looked at the beautiful and dazzling New York under the sunlight, and took a deep breath.

”This is a war.”

And this war has only just begun.

Figures walked out of the airport, bearing unwavering faith, heading to their destined battlefields. Meanwhile, Zahard listened to the reports from others while looking at the plans in front of him.

”First, we need to board the plane to our destination. New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston, San Francisco—all major cities in America are our targets. I’ve already booked the tickets, and we must strictly follow the schedule to ensure all flights arrive at their targets simultaneously.”

”Then, we need to acquire the weapons we need.”

”Hey, sir?”

Seeing the man with a gas mask emerging from the restroom, the flight attendant was stunned. However, before she could say anything, she watched the man pull out a gas canister from his coat and open it. The poisonous smoke quickly spread, enveloping the entire cabin, while the masked man swiftly took out a miniature bomb, blowing open the cockpit door, then drew his gun to attack the two pilots.

Then he threw the pilot’s corpses aside, maneuvered the plane, and flew forward.

”... After all, takeoff and landing are the hardest, and changing direction is something anyone who isn’t a monkey should be able to learn.”

The plane roared through the sky, flying straight ahead, leaving everyone speechless, unable to utter a word.

Then, fire erupted.

Twin Towers, Federal Bank Building, Sears Tower, Datong Tower, Philadelphia City Hall, Pan-American Pyramid.

They were once the pride and symbol of this country, representing its supreme glory and achievements. But now, they have collapsed entirely, wailing as they turned to ash amidst dust and flames.

People screamed, ran, no one knew what had happened, they were just dumbfounded by it all, utterly uncertain of how to react. To them, the false soap bubble of peace shattered completely at this moment, replaced by unparalleled fear and despair.

”God, God, what is happening!”

Looking at an old lady stumbling from the other side of the street, her eyes red and constantly crying.

”Are you alright?”

”Oh, I’m fine, thank you, young man. My God, why is this happening, what did we do wrong...”

Watching the elder weeping, Zahard remained silent.

What did you do wrong?

Can you not even understand this?

But, you don’t need to understand.

Just like we don’t need to understand, we don’t know what we did wrong either that led to the terrible calamity you brought.

What did we do wrong that made you invade our country, kill our people, destroy our cities?

No answer, and indeed, an answer is not needed.

”Start the second phase of the operation.”

Watching the petrified or crying crowd on the street, Zahard picked up the phone and coldly issued the next command.

”Boom!!!”

Explosions erupted again, but this time the targets were the power substations in various cities; their equipment was powerless against the explosives. Soon, the entire city’s power grid was utterly paralyzed, everywhere plunged into pitch blackness, the power system people depended on was completely destroyed.

Communication facilities were destroyed, no one could contact each other, everything seemed to have descended into endless disaster and nightmare. People screamed, cried, lamented for this hell-like scene. Many of them had never seen such a spectacle in their lives, but for Zahard, not only had he seen such a scene, it was part of his routine.

Now it’s your turn to enjoy this ”routine.”

Watching New York plunged into panic before him, Zahard raised his hands high.

Come, America, continue our war!
