Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 942: Chapter 457: The Alternation of Day and Night (Second Update)

The person chickened out and immediately apologized, ”I’m sorry, Master Lawrence, I was just talking nonsense.”

He then quickly deleted his account and left the live stream room.

Edward Foster was still trading insults with that person, but as soon as Kenneth Osborne entered the scene, he forced the person to delete his account and leave...

Edward paused for a moment, sullenly tapped on Kenneth Osborne’s ID ”Kenneth’s Lawrence” with his finger and mumbled, ”...Fine, you’re good.”

...

Meanwhile, in the mansion where Lawrence Winters was, they had already finished drawing lots.

The Peony group drew the task of ”Feng Shui adjustment.”

The opposite Peony group drew ”Exorcising evil spirits.”

Wang Daoist shook his head regretfully, ”Alas, I’m holding you back. I only know how to exorcise evil spirits...”

”No problem, feng shui assessment is our specialty.” Lawrence Winters smiled in the living room’s sunset glow, like a vibrant flower blooming at dusk, full of noble aura and ethereal charm, so dazzlingly beautiful it was hard to look at directly.

After dividing into groups based on the draw, eight people and the host went upstairs to see the unconscious girl on the second floor.

The girl’s bedroom was in the best spot on the second floor, even better than the master bedroom.

The window faced the large tree outside, its red blossoms clustered like a red cloud floating outside the window.

The room’s decor was very girlish, with a princess-style four-poster bed and a round canopy of gauzy mosquito-netting.

Dreamy purple chiffon curtains hung next to the large French windows, along with a layer of gold velvet blackout curtains looped around golden hooks beside the window.

Beneath the window was a deep purple fainting couch with two round black cushions featuring white moons.

To the left of the headboard was a rococo-style ornate vanity table, covered in premium skincare products and cosmetics.

Especially notable was the whole row of CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN lipstick wands, each shade present; this set alone was worth several thousand.

Next to the lipsticks, on a silver tray, lay a strand of large Tahitian black pearl necklace, each pearl the size of a fingertip and appearing equally sized.

This strand of pearl, if it’s natural, could be worth the down payment on a single-bedroom apartment in a major city.

Lawrence Winters clicked his tongue internally, realizing this girl must be dearly treasured by her parents, given only the best things.

At the foot of the bed stood a modern bench, human-sized, casually draped with a blanket.

Against the east wall was a Celestial Path Sect with its walking-in closet; other than this, there were no other furnishings.

Simple, yet elegantly understated in design.

Looking at the girl lying on the bed, Lawrence Winters raised an eyebrow slightly.

Her complexion was very pale, the kind of pale without any blood, and she seemed very thin, with visible cheekbones, her youthful apple cheeks dramatically sunken.

Lawrence Winters couldn’t resist touching his own face, for the first time thinking perhaps a little extra weight looks better...

In the live stream, the comatose girl’s face had been instantly processed by special effects software.

Viewers of the live stream couldn’t see the girl’s face, but they could see everything in the room, including the rows of lipstick wands on the vanity and the Tahitian black pearl necklace.

”...Rich people, confirmed.”

”Upstairs, did you just come to that conclusion now? Someone who can invite the Celestial Path Sect’s top master couldn’t be an ordinary person, right?”

Lawrence Winters and his companions couldn’t see the comments, or they’d have sparred a couple of rounds with them.

Though they charged high fees, they also offered affordable services.

It’s not entirely about money because as Heavenly Masters, they also aim to accumulate merit.

Mr. Zhuge looked around the girl’s bedroom, his gaze falling on Lawrence Winters.

Lawrence Winters was leaning against the window frame, arms crossed, contemplatively watching the unconscious girl.

Mr. Zhuge smiled and asked her, ”Master Lawrence, what’s your view on the feng shui here?”

Lawrence Winters came back to herself, smiling broadly, ”You’re the senior, you go first.”

At this moment she showed ”respect for seniors”...

Mr. Zhuge hadn’t expected Lawrence Winters’ ”standards” were so casual.

He choked a bit, tugged at the corner of his mouth, and said, ”I think the feng shui in this room is fine.”

”I’ve looked at this girl’s birth date, and according to preliminary Eight Characters calculation, her auspicious position is the fire position, and the bed here is placed in the wood position, wood generates fire, which can enhance her.”

”The room faces south, with wood at the window, all signs of thriving fire.”

”Logically, she shouldn’t...”

Mr. Zhuge didn’t finish, but everyone understood.

She shouldn’t be frequently having nightmares or falling into a coma.

Lawrence Winters nodded, her voice smooth, ”I agree with Mr. Zhuge’s opinion. The feng shui here is indeed not problematic, and it aligns well with the daughter’s Eight Characters.”

She glanced at the materials in hand, regretfully stating, ”This girl has just a week until her eighteenth birthday... I hope she wakes to attend her own birthday party.”

The Peony group also walked around the room, using a compass, a long peach wood sword, and a Guanyin purification bottle with willow branches for exploration.

Lawrence Winters thought of the peach wood sword in her backpack, feeling a bit itchy.

Too bad she’s not in the ”Exorcism” group; she could only watch as others performed the ritual.

After their examination, the Peony group put away their tools, also bewildered, saying, ”At first glance, this room is very clean, even cleaner than new buildings.”

Wang Daoist, hands behind his back, disdainfully snorted, ”Is that all? You need a compass, peach wood sword, Guanyin purification bottle? You sure are something... I can tell with my nose that this room is clean! Not just this room, this entire mansion is clean!”

Lawrence Winters smiled, glancing sideways at the fading sunset slipping to a level with the window frame, the golden glow in the bedroom vanishing in an instant.

At dusk, the transition between day and night officially began.

The closed bedroom door squeaked open, and the commissioning couple stood at the door, delightedly exclaiming, ”You’re all here!”
