Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 681: Chapter 354: Old Ginger Is Spicier (Part 3)

”How can I not worry? Just think about it, your business partnership with Lawrence this time, everyone can see it’s him elevating you. If you don’t show greater strength, you’ll be looked down upon in the future.”

Brooke Osborne’s thinking is somewhat old-fashioned. Deep down, she still believes that men are the pillars of the family and should bear more responsibility.

This mindset has influenced Kenneth Osborne to some extent, but he’s never thought of taking on this responsibility for anyone else apart from Lawrence Winters.

But he doesn’t need to do it Brooke Osborne’s way.

However, looking at Brooke’s earnest eyes, along with these contracts obviously offering him greater benefits, Kenneth Osborne rubbed his temples and said tiredly, ”No need for the house gift. I can buy a large flat anytime now. As for the company shares, leave that contract with me to review. If the company indeed has potential, I can buy the shares.”

He won’t take the slightest advantage of his sister.

Brooke was overjoyed and quickly said, ”I know you can afford a house, but this house is just a token of my affection. Please accept it, or else mom will keep nagging me, and my ears are already getting sore. Once you have this house, our parents can live peacefully!”

Kenneth felt even more helpless, ”Really, there’s no need, sis. I’ll explain things clearly to mom when I have time.”

He firmly declined, leaving Brooke with no choice but to take back the house gift contract, though she left the share transfer agreement behind.

When she left Kenneth’s AI Vision Promise Corporation with her lawyer, someone stood a short distance away, using a high-quality telephoto lens to take pictures, and shot video after video with an HD camera phone.

The next morning, there was a sudden leak on social media.

Nationwide, it’s reported that one of the top ten Spencer Group, the real estate giant, is about to partner with AI Vision Promise to develop that currently hot villa community in the suburbs of Capital City!

The evidence of this leak was photos and videos of Brooke Osborne leaving Kenneth Osborne’s company, along with her lawyer, who someone recognized as the director of Spencer Group’s legal department!

The implication of the pictures was: Spencer Group has officially signed a contract with AI Vision Promise, with Spencer Group providing resources and money, while AI Vision Promise provides the land, and the villa community is about to commence construction!

The whistleblower asserted with certainty that Brooke Osborne, who went for the signing, is the biological sister of Kenneth Osborne, the founder and president of AI Vision Promise!

They also showed a contract screenshot, proving Brooke Osborne gave half of her company’s shares to her brother Kenneth Osborne!

With such strong ties, how could outsiders possibly get a share?!

This trending topic lingered on social media for an entire day, prompting Lawrence Winters to call Kenneth Osborne. Kenneth quickly said, ”My sister wanted to give me shares, but I didn’t take it, and the agreements were sent back.”

Lawrence immediately realized they had been played, but just when she and Kenneth were about to clarify, the trending topic mysteriously disappeared.

The trending topic’s appearance made many people feel ”enlightened.”

Its disappearance made even more people believe it was ”inadvertently leaked insider information.”

Thus, on the deadline for bidding, Lawrence discovered that only one construction company came to bid, and it was Brooke Osborne’s company.

Other companies had withdrawn their bids, as no one wanted to waste their time and effort in a bid with such obvious insider dealings.

This was a strategy to force all competitors out...

Lawrence felt somewhat uncomfortable inside, but more so, she felt uneasy.
