Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1038: The God’s Legacy

Jacob had no idea what his Yin Core reacted like, and at this moment, Immortika’s voice suddenly rang in his mind.

”Opposite calls to opposite... harmony brings balance...”

Jacob’s eyes flickered when he felt the profound knowledge in those cryptic words, ”What are you hiding now?”

”Hahaha, I’m not hiding anything; it’s you who are not qualified to know these things yet.” Immortika curtly replied.

Jacob sneered but didn’t raise the topic and instead, he asked, ”What do you think about that inheritance of Blazing Flame Celestial Demon? Can you at least tell me the rank of those swords and the carvings beneath them? That Yin-Yang Mandala is probably hiding the profundities of fire law, and then that imprint, I can’t even tell what it is.”

”It isn’t obvious? It’s a legacy of a fallen god, and it’s a Law God. This place should be once the fallen God’s Law Temple. As for the rank of those Swords, hehe, all I can tell you is they are Divine Artifacts, and their Artifact Spirits are in deep slumber.

”With your current power, you can’t subdue them, much less use them, but since this a legacy inheritance, as long as you can become this legacy’s inheritor, they’ll be yours eventually.

”The Yin-Yang Mandala, as you felt, is filled with profundities of Fire Law. In truth, this Yin-Yang Mandala carries all Law Comprehension, techniques, spells, and all the relevant knowledge of the fallen Law God, and if you really inherit it, you can create a Celestial Astrolabe of Flame Path, your future journey as a God will be without any bottlenecks until you reach the same level as the fallen Flame God.

”As for that imprint, it’s the core of this Law Temple; simply put, it’s a control panel, and whoever can control it will get this entire Law Temple!”

Jacob was astounded when he heard Immortika’s explanation about that inheritance, especially about the imprint.

’I can get this Law Temple of a fallen Law God? Although I don’t know how it was created since it was made a powerful Law God, it should be extremely precious...but how, why did such a legacy end up in the Middle Plains?’

The more Jacob knew about this place, the more mysterious it became, and the biggest question of them all was, who could’ve killed the Blazing Flame Celestial Demon?

At this moment, Immortika suddenly revealed something unexpected, ”But I will advise you against touching this legacy.”

Jacob was startled, and he didn’t dare to take Immortika’s words lightly as he gravely asked, ”Why?”

”Hehehe, if you inherited the legacy of a fallen God, you will become the fallen God itself! Meaning that you will be another version of the fallen God because your path will be fixed, and your body will change according to the legacy to make you perfectly compatible to inherit God’s legacy.

”Don’t underestimate a God of this level. Even if they ended up dying, their wills are not something a mortal like you can go against. Even if you have me, you are still a mortal and getting entangled with a God’s legacy at your current level will change you in ways you can’t even begin to comprehend.”

Jacob instantly turned wary when he heard this and felt a surge of fear as he gazed at the enticing legacy of God before him. If it were someone else in his place, they wouldn’t even hesitate to charge forward and claim this legacy, but he was different because he was the inheritor of a Universal Godly Scripture.

His path was completely different from others, and it might have been difficult, but it was undoubtedly one of the most powerful ones, not to mention that it could help him reach his ultimate goal: Immortality.

Furthermore, since the Blazing Flame Celestial Demon could be killed, this legacy was even less enticing for him. Although he really wanted the knowledge of a Law God, it was no doubt priceless; if the price were to divert from his real path, he wouldn’t touch it, no matter what.

”I guess you have already made your choice.”Immortika didn’t need to guess what Jacob would choose. Unless Jacob suddenly turned into an idiot, he would never abandon the path of Immortality.

”Hehe, but you don’t need to be so gloomy. Even I had to admit this place is too good to abandon like that. Furthermore, I’m pretty sure that without inheriting God’s Legacy, you can’t take the Yang Flame either.

”Furthermore, there is still the lingering will of this Law God, and the moment you trigger God’s Legacy, it’ll reveal itself and test you. Then there is the Artifact Spirit of this Law Temple.

”You can’t retreat now, even if you want to, without getting tested by this God’s Legacy. In simple terms, you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Hahaha...!”Immortika burst into wanton laughter.

Jacob’s eyes flickered violently when he finally understood the gravity of the situation after hearing Immortika’s words. He was only here to get Yang Flame; God’s legacy was an unexpected surprise and gain, but now, he didn’t think so.

Furthermore, Jacob wasn’t expecting the presence of the Blazing Flame Celestial Demon’s will to be present as well. But it also made sense it was a God’s legacy; how could it be left without a guardian or protection measures?

What if the entity that killed the Blazing Flame Celestial Demon came after the latter’s treasures and legacy? Just this Law Temple might be enough to cause chaos in the Upper Plains.

”Since you were kind enough to tell me so much. What are you suggesting I should do?” Jacob could only seek Immortika’s council at this moment.

He knew the cursed book too well to believe that it was telling him all this out of the sudden kindness. Jacob would rather believe the world was ending today than believe the cursed book was doing all of this out of goodness.

”Hehehe, here is the thing, if you’re willing to sacrifice 1 Million years of your lifespan, you can...!”
