Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1004: Machina Unit

Jacob exited the private chamber and happened to spot Constant Baron-0, and he could sense her unease and disquiet.

Constant Baron-0 also spotted Jacob, and she was startled before quickly approaching him, and hastily said, ”Constant Baron-1 isn’t dead! Furthermore, the Timeless Hourglass has just announced the death of three constant barons, and that bastard has reported my involvement.

”Although there isn’t any concrete evidence, the matter of the three constant barons END is not trifled. I’m afraid the Constant Viscounts, not only just but many, will be involved in this matter, and I’ll probably be investigated. It’s just a matter of time.”

Jacob grimaced, ”I was too late.”

”You knew?” Constant Baron-0 was astounded before she gravely said, ”Didn’t you say you have taken care of them? You should’ve told me Constant Baron-1 was not among them. But it’s still strange...”

Jacob shook his head. ”He had sent a clone with them. I just found out and was about to tell you, but it seems he moved fast.”

Constant Baron-0 realized, ”That cunning bastard! What should we do now? This matter is probably going to blow up, and because of that bastard’s report, I’m no longer allowed to leave the Timeless Tower for now, nor can I use my Overlord authority.”

’How troublesome. I finally managed to get my hands on a powerful pawn and infiltrate the Timeless City, but with one mistake, everything is falling apart. Should I make my move early?’

Jacob mused darkly as he thought about his options.
”Should we report back to the ’Lord’?” Constant Baron-0 suddenly asked, as she knew that as long as the ’Lord’ got involved, no matter how those Constant Viscounts jumped around, it would be meaningless.

If only she had known that the ’Lord’ was standing right in front of her, and she was only alive because she was useful.

”The Timeless Hourglass, where is its true core? Is it on this floor?” Jacob suddenly questioned.

Although he had already seen the massive hourglass when he arrived in the Timeless Tower, he wasn’t sure it was the true core because every floor has such an hourglass, which the Constant Barons use, or Constant Baron-1 would have to come here to report his findings.

Constant Baron-0 was startled by Jacob’s question, but she instinctively replied, ”No, the true core is beneath the Timeless Tower, where the energy sources of the entire Timeless City are located.

”However, even I’m not allowed to enter there, no one is, and the defense system there is above legendary king rank. Anyone unauthorized would be dealt with mercilessly.

”Moreover, the Timeless City is located in the depths of the Abyssal Rift. The phenomena of space-time distortion are hazardous; anything related to magic won’t work here, soul sense will be torn apart, and even Quasi-Myths avoid venturing in this place.

”The protective barrier of the Timeless City covers the entire core of the city. If anything happens to the core, the barrier will be shattered, and without its protection, the Timeless City will die.

”That’s why that place is the most guarded place, and with one mistake, it’ll be over for everyone within the city. If I’m not wrong, then there should be a Machina Unit overseeing that place as well!”

A hint of astonishment flashed past Jacob’s eyes, ”Machina Unit? Didn’t you say earlier that instead of the ’Void Network’ of the Lesser Plains, the middle plains used the Machina Unit, and it’s the top secret of the SAAI and Undying Will? Why would the Timeless City have it? What is this Machina Unit? It’s time you told me everything!” His words were irrefutable and cold.

Constant Baron-0 resisted momentarily before she relented, ”There is a power race called the Spirit Natural Intelligence Mechanic Race. They are born at the Legendary King State Rank. However, unlike the other races, the Spirit Natural Intelligence Mechanic Race didn’t have a fleshy body but instead had a Spirit Core, which contained their soul and essence.

”The Spirit Natural Intelligence Mechanic Race are born with the highest talent in magic technology, and no kind of restrictions can stop them, as long as given time, they can learn anything related to magic technology without any need for prior knowledge or guidance.

”All the AIs you have been in contact with belonged to the Spirit Natural Intelligence Mechanic Race. A powerful Spirit Natural Intelligence Mechanic Race member can easily overwrite a weaker Spirit Natural Intelligence Mechanic Race member’s consciousness with their innate talent, because essentially, the Spirit Natural Intelligence Mechanic Race is also a kind of magic technology with a consciousness.

”This enabled a powerful Spirit Natural Intelligence Mechanic Race member to have multiple counterparts, and they can exist everywhere at the same time while keeping their main consciousness hidden.

”A Machina Unit is the counterpart of a powerful SNIM Race member. SAAI, Undying Will, used this Machina Unit to spread their network everywhere because the Spirit Core of an SNIM Race member is hundreds of times more powerful than Star Servers.

”The AIs of the Life Faction and Neutral Faction are also SNIM Race members, but they are far weaker than SAAI, and most likely under its control, or they might just be SAAI itself in disguise, while the Undying Will won’t allow the Dead Faction to have other SNIM Race members. The reason behind it is still unknown, at least to Legendary Plains’ ATLAS.

”ATLAS also has a powerful SNIM Race member called Anarchy, and it’s the most powerful enemy of the SAAI and Undying Will. The Machina Unit here is controlled by Anarchy. This is the truth behind the Star Network, Dark Network, and our Anarchy Network.

”Lastly, I don’t think there’s any SNIM Race member who is independent because these three will instantly absorb them the moment they find them. The information on SNIM Race is also known to very few.

”In the entire legendary plains, only ATLAS probably has this information because they are our mortal enemies, and as long as we find any traces of a Machina Unit, we’ll use Anarchy and our hidden technology to take control of them.

”The SAAI and Undying Will do the same, but it’s easier said than done because of the SNIM Race’s characteristic of being able to travel between space unhinge and hide in chaotic space currents.

”That’s why the Star Hackers were created to cause trouble for those Machina Units so they can make mistakes and reveal their locations! This is the reality of Machina Units!”
