Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Time slowly passed in the Star Shattering Sect and soon enough the entirety of the Half Spirit Race moved into the Seventh Star Peak. Given that all of them were at least in the Qi Condensation Realm, it was not hard for all of the Half Spirit Race to move to the Seventh Star Peak.

The disciples of the Star Shattering Sect were all happy when the members of the Half Spirit Race moved in, as they had a lot of Nascent Soul Realm Experts... And more Nascent Soul Realm Experts meant that they would have more skilled teachers in the future!

For this reason alone, the disciple of the Star Shattering Sect wanted to leave a good impression on these new Nascent Soul Realm Elders, some of the younger disciples who did not have a master yet even hoped that some of the Nascent Soul Realm Elders from the Half Spirit Race would take them in as a personal disciple.

None of them really cared about the fact that they were not from the human race like themselves. After all, strength spoke the loudest in a world revolving around cultivation!

...

At the same time all of this was happening, Chu Yang was getting closer and closer to the Nascent Soul Realm with each passing day. After only little over a year after having moved to the Seventh Star Peak together with his master and fellow disciples, he had strengthened his foundation enough and was about to attempt breaking through to the Nascent Soul Realm!

”Master, Bai Ning... And Qing Yi...” Looking towards the three people that were standing not too far away from him to observe his breakthrough, Chu Yang could not help feeling nervous for a short moment before quickly calming down. Closing both of his eyes as he began the process of breaking apart the golden core inside his dantian, or in his case, the blood red core at the centre of his dantian.

Crack~

As cracks spread through out the blood red core, Chu Yang’s face turned pale as a sudden feeling of weakness washed over him with each small crack appearing on his blood red core.

Breaking through to the Nascent Soul Realm involved breaking apart the golden core inside the dantian to give birth to the Nascent Soul and then having the newly born Nascent Soul ascend the Cloud Tribulation before officially stepping into the Nascent Soul Realm.

Even if the Cloud Tribulation was the most dangerous part of the breakthrough, it was not the only life-threatening danger one could encounter during the breakthrough, as the act of breaking the golden core inside the dantian to give birth to the Nascent Soul could also fail. Resulting in the cultivator losing all his cultivation and being forced to start all over from the Qi Condensation Realm again.

Crack~

Not thinking about this, Chu Yang fully immersed himself in cultivation as more and more cracks appeared all over his blood red core, while the cracks already present began rapidly increasing in size.

Slowly over the next half hour, the entire core was covered in cracks and inevitably began trembling more and more violently. Showing signs that it was about to break apart at any moment!

...

”Looks like he will soon give birth to his Nascent Soul... I wonder if it will be different given how special his golden core is...” Standing a short distance away from the place where Chu Yang was sitting, Xuan Hao could not help muttering this to himself. His divine sense fully focused on the blood red core slowly breaking apart inside Chu Yang’s dantian. Ready to act in case anything went wrong.

Even if he would not be able to help Chu Yang give birth to his Nascent Soul and overcome the cloud tribulation, he would still be able to prevent him from falling all the way back to the Qi Condensation Realm if he managed to act fast enough!

Different from Qing Yi and Xuan Hao who understood what was happening to Chu Yang, Bai Ning had no idea what breaking through the Nascent Soul Realm involved.

”Master... Will senior brother be fine...?” For this reason, he could not help asking this with a worried expression on his face after seeing Chu Yang trembling all over, while his face grew increasingly pale

”He will be fine! Although breaking through to the Nascent Soul Realm is something extremely dangerous to normal cultivators, your senior brother worked hard for the past half year to strengthen his foundation and is more than prepared for this!

If someone like Chu Yang fails to breakthrough to the Nascent Soul Realm. Nascent Soul Realm Experts would be far rarer than they currently are, there might even be less Nascent Soul Realm Experts than Domain Lords around if someone like your senior brother can’t break through...!”

Stepping in for her master, Qing Yi reassured Bai Ning that nothing bad would happen to Chu Yang. Even if it was slightly out of character for her to say something like that, Qing Yi did not mind as the person in question could not hear what she was saying due to him being way too focused on breaking through to the Nascent Soul Realm at the moment-

CRACK-!

At this moment, a loud cracking sound could be heard coming from inside Chu Yang’s body. Signalling that the birth of his Nascent Soul was imminent.

...

CRACK-!

Feeling the core inside his dantian fully breaking apart, Chu Yang could not help frowning as a tremendous wave of pain spread through his entire body.

Whoosh~!

However, the pain only lasted for a split second, as it all disappeared the moment a small nascent soul appeared at the centre of his dantian.

The nascent soul looked extremely small and weak at the moment due to it just being born a few seconds ago, but at the same time, a powerful aura could clearly be felt from the depths of the small newly born nascent soul.

Swish~

Knowing that he would soon have to face the cloud tribulation that would follow after the birth of his nascent soul, Chu Yang took the short time he had left to take a proper look at his nascent soul with his powerful divine sense allowing him to see the inside of his dantian. Not that he really needed his divine sense to see the inside of his dantian, as he could just use his nascent soul to see this. The reason he used his divine sense was purely to see the appearance of his nascent soul!

”This is... My nascent soul?”

Gazing at his nascent soul through his divine sense, Chu Yang could not help feeling surprised after seeing the appearance of his nascent soul.

Different from what the small ball he had expected to see inside his dantian, his nascent soul was rather unique, as a blood red mist filled with a bone chilling killing intent swirled around a small human figure.

Not only that, but after looking closer, the small human figure also had a pair of bright red eyes that were filled with an equally terrifying killing intent.

”...”

Looking at the small nascent soul in his dantian, Chu Yang had no idea what to say.

He understood his golden core was special from what his master had told him... He just didn’t expect for it to have such massive affects on his nascent soul! Not only was his nascent soul already shaped before he had transcended the cloud tribulation, but he could also very clearly feel that his strength had already reached the Nascent Soul Realm

Even after moving around his nascent soul to make sure, it was truly his own nascent soul and making sure that it was truly his own nascent soul, Chu Yang could not help feeling a shiver run down his spine whenever he stared into the blood red eyes of his nascent soul. Vaguely, the image of an endless sea of blood could be seen when staring deep enough into the eyes of his nascent soul.

Boom!

Trying to look closer and thoroughly inspect his nascent soul, Chu Yang was caught off guard as a loud rumbling sound of lighting outside his body.

”The Cloud Tribulation...”

Not even having to think twice after hearing the sound of lighting outside his body to guess where the sound had come from, Chu Yang looked away from his nascent soul before focusing all of his attention on the clouds filled with lighting slowly gathering above him.

Given that his nascent soul had already taken on a human shape before he had transcended to cloud tribulation, Chu Yang had a feeling that his tribulation would be different from a normal Bronze, Silver, or Gold Cloud Tribulation....

RUMBLE-!

As if to meet his expectations, the lighting cloud in the air above Chu Yang slowly started turning into a dark red before a terrifying power began gathering at the centre of the cloud in preparation to strike down Chu Yang’s newly formed Nascent Soul!
