Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Feeling the Qi Gathering Formation drawing in chaotic qi from outside and refining it into something that could be freely absorbed by cultivators, Xuan Hao smiled happily to himself upon seeing the Seventh Star Peak slowly transforming from a desolate mountain peak with nothing other than chaotic qi on it. Into a place that would allow one to improve twice as fast with half the effort when cultivating there.

Not only that, but after taking control of the formation through the small flower floating at the centre of the formation, Xuan Hao clearly felt that he could expand the formation far more than the area that it currently covered.

So of course, he did so. Instantly having the Qi Gathering Formation expand many times-

Whoosh~

Soon the Qi Gathering Formation had expanded many times its original size and now instead of just covering the Seventh Star Peak, it also covered the Ninth- and Eighth-Star Peak!

This was all within Xuan Hao’s expectations, but when he turned his attention away from the formation after having expanded it to cover 3 out of the nine mountains of the Shattered Star Peaks, a wave of shock ran through him as he read through the reward from the system after having successfully set up the Qi Gathering Formation.

[Limited Time Sect Quest: Gather the rest of the natural treasures needed for the construction of the Qi Gathering Formation and set up the Qi Gathering Formation inside the Shattered Star Peaks within two years’ time! (Complete)]

[Reward: Cultivation Increase of 1 Minor Realm, Upgrade for Qi Gathering Formation.]

The increase in cultivation was something he already knew about from when he had first gotten the quest. The thing that caught him off guard was not this and was instead the second reward, an upgrade for the Qi Gathering Formation!

This was not something Xuan hao had expected at all, as he had honestly just thought that the system would give him some kind of rare metal or spiritual herb that he had absolutely no use for at the moment…

”No use thinking too much about that… For now, let’s see how strong the Qi Gathering formation gets after its upgraded!”

[Redeem reward from Limited Time Quest?]

[Yes/No]

Yes!

Choosing to claim the reward without the slightest bit of hesitation, Xuan Hao seemed to see some sort of ancient treasures appear in front of him before merging together with the newly formed Qi Gathering Formation.

Boom!

However, he had no time to pay any attention to the change taking place to the formation, as he suddenly felt a terrifying power spread throughout his meridians before gathering towards his dantian at a terrifying speed.

Ah… I seem to also have redeemed the cultivation increase-

BOOM!

Not having any more time to think, Xuan Hao could only close his eyes as he put all his focus on what was taking place inside his body, as his cultivation rapidly began rising.

Allowing him to quickly surpass the early stage of the Seventh Stage and reach the Peak of the Seventh Stage. Following which his improvement began slowing down as his strength got closer and closer to the Eighth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm!

Whoosh~

However just as he was about to breakthrough from the Seventh Stage of the Domain Lord Realm to the Eighth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm, the small ice flower and the small silver sword located inside his dantian seemed to react to the sudden massive and seemingly endless flow of extremely pure qi entering the dantian, as both of them floated out into his dantian before beginning to rapidly devour the pure qi from the system that was trying to help him reach the Eighth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm.

”…”

As the small ice flower and sword began devouring the qi that was supposed to help him breakthrough to the Eighth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm, Xuan Hao could only watch from the side as the endless stream of pure qi poured into the small ice flower and silver sword that had floated out from his soul and placed themselves directly between the flow of pure qi and his dantian.

Rumble~!

Feeling the amount of pure qi slowing down as the small ice flower and silver sword grew larger and larger, Xuan Hao was just about to say something when he suddenly felt the slowly weaking stream of pure qi flowing into his dantian from somewhere unknown burst forth with unprecedented power, as a terrifying amount of qi far more powerful than before began entering his dantian.

Did the system get offended by those two? Why do you have to drag me into this?!

Not knowing what to say when he saw this, Xuan Hao could only smile helplessly to himself as he felt the terrifying amount of qi carrying some similarities to the divine power he had seen before course through his body before heading towards his dantian.

Crack!

Having to have such powerful qi course through his body was far too much for the current Xuan Hao to withstand, as he felt his body slowly start breaking apart under the terrifying qi that flowed through his body. Trying to help him breakthrough to the Eighth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm.

BOOM!

BOOM!

Devouring this terrifying qi for close to a minute, the small ice flower and the silver sword that had floated out from his soul finally seemed satisfied, as each of them stopped blocking the terrifying qi from helping Xuan Hao breakthrough to Eighth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm.

However, instead of floating back inside his soul where they had been born, each of them floated towards one of the two vortexes that had formed inside his dantian. The ice flower settling down in the dark blue vortex, while the silver sword settled down in the silver vortex.

Whoosh~

Having nothing blocking its path anymore, the terrifying qi that was of far higher quality than anything he had ever seen before rapidly filled up his dantian.

BOOOOOM!

Feeling that he would blow up if he didn’t do anything with this terrifying qi, Xuan Hao directly broke through to the Eighth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm. Instantly making the system stop sending any more of the terrifying qi into his dantian…

Crack~

However, this did little to help him deal with the terrifying qi that was already inside his dantian!

Should I just try to improve my cultivation more…?

Thinking this for a short moment, Xuan Hao quickly put this thought down as he remembered the fact that he would not be able to break through to the Soul Ascension Realm without first merging his ice and sword domain together… Something he was still far away from doing any time soon…

Breaking through the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm was possible, but he would still be left with a lot of the terrifying qi. Not to mention, if he directly broke through to the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm in his current state, his cultivation base would get even more unstable than it already was…

Even now, he could just barely keep his cultivation base stable… If he broke through to the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm now…

Well, losing his cultivation base would be the best option, while at worst the terrifying qi still left inside his dantian would turn him into a human water balloon before making him go pop into a gory mess…

Swish!

Just at this moment where Xuan Hao felt lost not knowing what to do, the blue feather imprint between his eyebrows lit up before a gentle blue light extend from before reaching down towards his interspatial ring.

”Do you perhaps also want to take advantage of my situation…?” Not knowing whether to laugh or cry when he suddenly saw this gentle blue light extend towards his interspatial ring, Xuan Hao just muttered this to himself as he watched the gentle blue light from the feather imprint enter his interspatial ring without the slightest bit of resistance-

Bang!

Before taking the three blue phoenix feathers along with the special one he had gotten from the temple of the Half Spirit Race and absorbing all of them. Instantly causing the feather imprint located between his eyebrows to gain a lot more detail and majesty compared to before.

Whoosh~

Luckily for Xuan Hao, the feather imprint between his eyebrows did not stop there, as the gentle blue light soon returned before spreading all over his body. Healing the damage caused by the terrifying qi currently inside his dantian, while at the same time subtly changing his body and strengthening it in the process.

Reaching his dantian, the gentle blue light from the feather imprint did not seem the slightest bit intimidated by the terrifying qi currently wreaking havoc inside his dantian, as it rapidly began devouring it without any signs of damage before retreating back to the feather imprint.

”…”

Seeing all of this, Xuan Hao remained silent as he just observed all of this taking place. Not knowing what in the world just happened to him, as three different factions seemed to have just fought a battle inside his body and dantian.

First the small ice flower and silver sword fought the terrifying qi before retreating, then the terrifying qi caused havoc and the blue feather imprint decided to act and devoured it…
