Chaotic Sword God

“This is a tremendous gift.” Jian Chen sighed emotionally. Almost seventy percent of the medicinal gardens in the Skyscraping World had ended up in Xing Caijian’s hands. After all, she possessed the Divine Sword of the Heavenly Star, which allowed her to get through the formations extremely quickly.

Seventy percent of the heavenly resources might have been nothing to a court of heaven, but it was tremendous wealth in Jian Chen’s eyes.

The value of these heavenly resources even surpassed everything he had obtained from the Immortal Sect of Colossal Elephants.

The heavenly resources he obtained from the Immortal Sect of Colossal Elephants possessed an advantage in quantity, but they came nowhere close to the ones in the Skyscraping World when it came down to quality and grade.

The heavenly resources from the medicinal gardens of the Skyscraping World had been growing for several hundred thousand years at the very least. Most of them had already evolved into God Tier. There was an extremely small number below God Tier, unlike the Immortal Sect of Colossal Elephants where heavenly resources below God Tier formed the majority.

“Is my daughter’s gift to your satisfaction?” At this moment, a gruff voice rang out. A burly, middle-aged man had appeared beside Jian Chen before he had even noticed, staring at him with a smile.

His presence was erased, and he wore regular clothes. He seemed very approachable like an old farmer.

“Thank you for your assistance, senior!” Jian Chen immediately clasped his fist and bowed towards the middle-aged man. This was the first time he had seen the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor’s true appearance. However, from the familiar voice and the words that he said, he immediately recognised who this was.

Jian Chen was not surprised by how the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor could find him. After all, he had been escorted by the power of the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor the entire way here. With his methods as a Ninth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt, perhaps he had left an indetectable imprint on him.

Moreover, Xing Caijian’s Space Ring was still in his possession.

“Many people are searching for you everywhere right now. Apart from the Immortal Feather sect, there’s also the Immortal Exalts who lost their heavenly resources in the Skyscraping World. What do you plan on doing next? Have you considered coming to your Heavenly Star Palace?” The Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor stared at Jian Chen with interest. Only now did he finally have the time to properly study Jian Chen.

“Thank you for your offer, senior, but I don’t plan on going to the Heavenly Star Palace for the time being, just in case I cause any trouble,” Jian Chen clasped his fist towards the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor and said. Seeing how the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor was displeased with that reply, he was forced to explain. “It’s not that I don’t believe in the Heavenly Star Palace’s strength. As one of the courts of heaven, the Heavenly Star Palace is so powerful that you can make the entire Immortals’ World shake with just a stomp. It’s just that my identity is linked with far too many matters. I’m sure you’re also aware of this, senior.”

“Looks like you know quite a bit. Then are you aware that you’ve already raised the attention of the Waymight clan? And on top of that, you’ve raised the attention of someone significant from the Waymight clan?” the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor said sternly.

“May I ask who you are referring to, senior?” Jian Chen’s eyes shone with interest. He could not help but recall a figure.

“The second ancestor of the Waymight clan, Daowei Huanru!” The Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor told Jian Chen about how Daowei Huanru had stopped the Universe Breaching Heavenly Emperor, which immediately shocked him. His eyes were filled with mixed feelings.

“If you were in the Heavenly Star Palace, at least we can help you hold off Daowei Huanru, but if you continue to move around alone, you will not be able to fight back at all once Daowei Huanru moves against you.”

“As for Daowei Fatian, he’s heavily injured. It’s rumoured that he’s entered secluded cultivation for recovery, and he probably won’t be emerging any time soon. As long as he does not take action personally, the Heavenly Star Palace can ensure your safety. The other courts of heaven will not have the courage to declare war on our Heavenly Star Palace over you either, as the identity of the successor of the twin swords still bears some weight at the end of the day.”

“Of course, the exact weight will vary. If you have the support of our Heavenly Star Palace and the Immortal Sect of Myriad Swords, this weight will be tremendous. No one will be able to ignore it. However, if you don’t have the support of these courts of heaven, I’m afraid very few people will take you seriously unless you possess enough absolute strength to crush all.”

Reaching there, the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor paused. Afterwards, he gradually became stern. “As for Daowei Fatian, it’s true that our Heavenly Star Palace can’t stop him, but we’re still one of the twelve courts of heaven. Even against someone like that, we have the right to a voice. By then, we’ll rope in a few other courts of heaven as an alliance. That way, even Daowei Fatian can’t ignore us…”

The Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor directly referred to the Grand Exalt by his name. Even though Daowei Fatian had already become a Grand Exalt, truly transcending the world, the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor was unable to muster up any respect towards him.

“Senior, the Grand Exalt may be injured, but if you directly refer to his name like this, aren’t you afraid of him sensing something?” Jian Chen was quite nervous as he listened along. He had met several Grand Exalts before, and he knew just how exceptional the methods of Grand Exalts were. Their names happened to be taboo.

However, the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor completely disregarded this with disdain. “You have nothing to worry about. At my cultivation, there are no taboos that I cannot speak of in the world. If I want him to sense it, he’ll sense it, but if I don’t, he won’t. Grand Exalts have already transcended, standing up high, but don’t underestimate the heavenly emperors either…”

Jian Chen was enlightened with that. For some powerful Ninth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalts, their distance from Grand Exalt was truly just a step. Out of the one hundred layers of laws that a Grand Exalt possessed, these Ninth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalts were already on the ninety-ninth layer.

However, it was also this one step that led to such a tremendous difference in strength between the two.

Afterwards, the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor helped Jian Chen analyse the benefits and detriments involved. He tried his best to convince Jian Chen to hide in the Heavenly Star Palace.

However, no matter how the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor embellished his words, no matter what promises he issued, Jian Chen turned them all down without any hesitation in the end.

To Jian Chen, going to the Heavenly Star Palace was equivalent to tying himself up. Once a Grand Exalt came in person, he would be directly exposed before them with nowhere to escape to.

That was not what he wanted.

Although he would also struggle to hide from Grand Exalts outside, at least he could resolve a few matters that he needed to resolve before a Grand Exalt had noticed him.

Most importantly, he possessed a treasure that could hide away from Grand Exalts. The Fortune God Jade could evade all senses. It could only be detected by the naked eye.

As a result, even though a Grand Exalt could observe the entire Immortals’ World on a whim, they could not discover Fortune God Jade.

“Sigh, since you’re so stubborn, I’m not going to force you. The Heavenly Star Palace can serve as your home. If you ever grow tired of wandering around outside or encounter any enemies so powerful that you stand no chance, you can come to the Heavenly Star Palace at any time. As long as they’re not Grand Exalts, our Heavenly Star Palace can help you hold off any expert,” the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor said seriously.

“Then what if I offend the Sacred Beast clan?” Jian Chen suddenly asked out of curiosity.

When he heard Jian Chen mention the Sacred Beast clan, the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor’s face immediately hardened. Afterwards, he stared at Jian Chen solemnly and said, “Unless you run out of choices, do not provoke the Sacred Beast clan. No, even if you end up in conflict with them, bear with whatever you can.”

“The Sacred Beast clan’s strength is beyond your imagination. They’re not as simple as a race. Instead, they are the remaining forces of a major world. Apart from Grand Exalts, no one can stand up against the Sacred Beast clan. Not even Fang Jing of the Heavenly Palace of Great Radiance can.”

“Fang Jing might have faced off against four members of the Sacred Beast clan and emerged victoriously in the end, shaking up the entire Immortals’ World, but that’s only a tiny fraction of the Sacred Beast clan’s forces.”

As he spoke about the Sacred Beast clan, the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor became unprecedentedly stern. Clearly, his wariness towards them reached deep into his bones.

“Senior, just how powerful is the Sacred Beast clan?” Jian Chen asked curiously.

The Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor sank into his thoughts. Finally, he replied as if he had come up with a relatively easy way of explaining it. “I’ll describe it to you like this. If you set aside the Grand Exalts and amass all the strength across the thirty-three heavens and twelve courts of heaven in the Immortals’ World, the Sacred Beast clan can probably match a third of it. Even though this is not exactly an accurate estimate, that paints a rough picture.”

“The Sacred Beast clan is that powerful?” Even Jian Chen could not help but leap in fright. This was a third of the entire Immortals’ World’s forces. Did that not mean the Sacred Beast clan was equivalent to eleven heavens and four courts of heaven?

Let alone everything else, just the Immortal Exalts from eleven heavens already reached into the hundreds.

This matter was truly shocking. During the Sword Sect of Violet Heaven’s most glorious time, they only had ten Immortal Exalts.

“The Sacred Beast clan is not just the Azure Dragon clan, the White Tiger clan, the Vermillion Bird clan, and the Black Tortoise clan. There are many other daemon organisations under the rule of these four clans such as the Immortal Sect of Colossal Elephants from the Reverent Observance Heaven that also belongs to the Sacred Beast clan. As a powerful organistaion that has a Seventh Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt, the Immortal Sect of Colossal Elephants doesn’t even rank within the top ten organisations under the rule of the Sacred Beast clan.”

“The Immortal Sect of Colossal Elephants isn’t even in the top ten?” Jian Chen was shocked again. Apart from the Observance Heaven City, the Immortal Sect of Colossal Elephants was already the undisputed greatest organisation on the Reverent Observance Heaven. Their Seventh Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt, the Space-splitting Venerable, was an invincible figure on the Reverent Observance Heaven.

However, a tremendous organisation led by such an expert did not even rank within the top ten of all the organisations under the rule of the Sacred Beast clan?

That was simply startling.

In the past, the strength of the Sacred Beast clan had always been a mystery to Jian Chen, but now, he finally gained a clearer understanding. His wariness towards them peaked.

At this moment, he could not help but think of the Spiritsages in the Saints’ World.

Compared to the Spiritsages, the Sacred Beast clan had been far too fortunate. They had basically joined the Immortals’ World without paying much of a price, preserving the strength of the Daemons’ World to the greatest degree.
