Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 416: Chapter 414:

:-

A one-of-one existence born from onto Chaos and fused with an Outer-Source core, creating the first and only known being capable of simultaneously existing as both.

[Existence Traits]:

Absolute Chaos Affinity.

Absolute Outer-Source Affinity.

.....

.....

”Well, that happened.” I couldn’t help muttering to myself as I took in the system’s description of my existence.

”So, that’s what it is. Father was right.” Shaia’s quiet voice caught my attention.

”You know something?” I asked.

”Only something Father and the others had speculated once before.”

”And that is?”

”That they, the outer-source and chaos beings, didn’t just spawn spontaneously out of nowhere, that like all things, there must have been a catalyst to their creation. They didn’t know what, but the fact that each newly created being came with a true name solidified that thought.” Her eyes were locked onto my panel, precisely on the that had stamped itself there.

”So that’s what it was,” she muttered to herself.

”You seem surprised? Did you not know the system could decipher things like this when you created it?”

”I did not. Like I said, I only had intentions of making your training easier, that was all I designed the system to do. As for what it could actually do, it would only reveal after it successfully fused with you.”

”I see... so, what do you think is hidden behind those blurred lines?”

”Something we’re not yet worthy to see.”

”So, we ignore it?”

”For now, yes. After all, we can’t do anything about it.” She shook her head helplessly.

”Alright then. Let’s see what the traits are about then.”

{Traits}:-

:-

Perfect compatibility with Chaos Essence.

:-

Perfect compatibility with the Outer-Source essence.

....

”That’s it?” I couldn’t help grumbling at that lackluster description.

”What do you mean ’that’s it?’ Do you even know what you’re looking at?”

”What? Isn’t it just normal affinity? I already had chaos energy even before this, so what’s the point?”

”Oh my... you really don’t understand the ridiculousness you’re looking at, do you?”

”Let me put this clearly for you to understand. Do you know what happens when an outer-source being tries to meddle with chaos energy?”

”You know I don’t.”

”Well, long story short, they stop being.”

”Stop being what?”

”Nothing. They just stop being. Like they get erased. You know what happens when you send people to oblivion? Yes, like that. The two energies were never meant to mix. They’re essentially opposing structures to one another.”

”I don’t understand. If they’re opposing structures, then nothing should’ve made this possible. There has to be a loophole I exploited,” I retorted, eyes still locked onto that description.

”There are no loopholes, Dante. It’s a strict structure. Why do you think the outer-source beings are even born? It is because for every form of Chaos being to come into being, there exists an outer-source being to balance it out.

Unity and Individuality.

Paradox and Certainty.

Void and Existence.

Hell, even I myself have a countering being of chaos, The Presence is what they call it.”

”What?” Now, I was getting confused. I thought they were just two different powers, how were they now direct opposites? Balancing powers?

”It is exactly as you heard. The only person to have been exempt from this, and that was because she had promptly eaten her opposition, was Aunt Devouring. It is said that the moment she came into being, she hunted down her outer-source opposition and devoured it completely. What came from that, nobody knew, and then there was you.”

”Me?”

”Yes. Your own circumstances were even stranger than that, because on the day you came to being, Aunt Devouring had tried to go after your direct opposition as well, but... she couldn’t find it.”

”What? How? Did it hide or something?”

”No, it did not. It turns out your opposition was never brought to existence because you... had denied it.”

...

...

”This...” I had what? Denied the existence of my own opposite?

I understand Mother devouring her own, but for me to outright deny its existence from jump?

”Surprising, right? It wasn’t until later that Aunt Devouring had, from witnessing and understanding your origin, deduced what your opposition would’ve been.”

”What?”

”Outer-Source Affirmation.”

”Well, that’s a suck-ass name.”

”The name matters not. What matters was what Aunt Devouring had deduced from your birth.”

”I’m listening.”

”She said your existence and that of your opposite was a race.”

”A race?”

”Yes. A race. Because from the things your origin allowed you to do, an exact opposite would mean an Affirmation of things. So, had the outer-source being come into existence first, just like you instinctively rejected the possibility of any other being opposing you, it would’ve affirmed that it was the one and only true being of its alignment. And that would’ve meant...”

”I wouldn’t have existed.”

”Exactly.”

”Damn...” That was heavy.

Suddenly, the description of my existence wasn’t looking so simple anymore.

”You seem to finally get it. If things that are essentially opposing in nature to each other are now allowed to exist simultaneously and peacefully within a single being, what do you think will happen?”

”I can both do and undo what anyone on either spectrum can do...”

”Yes, you can. And with the origin of devouring, that becomes an even scarier thing, because all you need to do is devour them and acquire their sources, their origins, and you can effectively take their place in existence without wrecking any balance, because you’ll effectively become just like that being.”

”Damn...” I had to admit it.

If I had been left on my own, I would’ve glazed over this simple description, but now looking at it, looking at the statements, Absolute affinity for Chaos and Outer-Source Essence, I had to reevaluate myself. Because if even half of what we just found out was true, then I had really just become something truly different.

”Heh. Suddenly it makes sense why the system would use something like ’One-of-One’ to describe me...” I laughed at the ridiculousness of it all before shaking my head.

”I guess we should check out the other things then,” I suggested. I knew if we were to stay occupied with this existence state, we might never get through the system and begin planning forward. So, I could only shelve it aside for now. Time for that will come, but as for now...

”Show me the next thing...”

[DING]

{Existence level}:- Fledgling.

....

”Do I even want to bother with this?”

”You already know what it is, so why bother?”

”You’re right...” She was right. The fledgling stage was basically the newborn state of any chaos being. It was the same state I was in before Mother was attacked. So, I was basically a baby compared to those monsters.

”Fledgling... soon. Very soon,” I muttered coldly as I moved onto the next sections.

.....

{Origins}:- , , .

....

These I had already conversed with Shaia enough about. Even if the system had some other fancy words, it wouldn’t differ much from what I already knew, so,

”Next...” We skipped it.

[DING!]

{Bloodlines}:- , .

....

Now this... I had to pause right here, because,

”Why am I seeing only two bloodlines? What happened to the rest?” What happened to all the bloodlines I had stacked with my hard work?

[DING!]

[All bloodlines below the [Outer-Existence] level have been assimilated completely into the .]

”Eyy? Shaia, your creation is tweaking. Did I ask it to fuse everything for me?”

”Before you whine and moan, why don’t you check the information of the bloodline before bashing the system?”

”Haa...” I shook my head, somehow wondering if I should’ve let Shaia remain a voice in my head.

”I can hear you.”

”I know... haaa... anyways, let’s get this over with. Let’s see what made it sensible to combine all my bloodlines into one.”

A/N: It’s been a while since we had such exposition and info dump heavy Chapters hasnt it? Well, it’s a bit a necessary. Also, I wrote this Chapter very sleepy, so be sure to point out any inconsistencies.

Ps: I don’t think I can churn out another Chapter right now, I might try to later on, but I can’t promise anything, forgive me. Just know that if I’m unable to churn out the third today, then it shall be paid back sometime next month. I am very exhausted and have been trying to rest up a bit, so forgive me, and thank you for understanding, oh and as always...
