Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 414: Chapter 412:“Vhaez’ul Qhae’ruun Nhae’vorr”

Man. There was just one bombshell after another. I was having no time to process anything at all, because, ”You created the system?” I was stunned.

I thought this bitch-ass system said it had been gliding through chaos randomly before choosing me?

”Hey! Stop insulting my creation. It was just the watered-down version, alright??” Shaia protested.

”Watered down?”

”Yes. I had created the system as a gift for you back then after we returned from visiting Neutrality’s creation. Seeing how fascinated you were with the childish digital displays and what they did, I thought it nice to do the same for you. It was meant to help guide you in mastering your powers and origin faster, thereby shortening the gap between you and the older ones.”

”Shaia...” I was speechless.

”Unfortunately, after the attack, your body really couldn’t handle the true system since its main core of operations, that is your bloodlines and origins, had been sealed. So, I watered it down and gave you this system instead, to help make you stronger before your eventual true awakening. That’s why you didn’t have access to some of the things you had accomplished before.”

I couldn’t help taking a moment to digest what I’d just been told.

So, the system truly was meant for me? Even though it had said otherwise about there not being any higher power pulling strings, I’d thought it lies, especially considering my encounters with that guy.

”So it truly was just meant to be?”

”Yes, my love.”

”And there’s no supreme being out there manipulating shit?”

”Haa... you’re letting your life as Kyle influence you too much. You’re not in some cockamamie novel; this is your life, my love.”

”Heh. That’s what she thinks.” But I could feel it. That sense of being held back.

I was sure of it. Out there, there’s probably some bitch-ass guy wearing glasses and typing furiously right about now, trying to meet deadlines and expectations while utterly exhausted.

How did I know if said person was exhausted? Simple.

The fact that I hadn’t been thrown into some random bullshit cliché probably means the bastard is dead tired and exhausted.

”Heh! Good. Let the exhaustion pile up. I hope nobody helps him out, that way, once he drops dead and burnt out, I’ll be truly free.”

(A/N: ....)

”My love?” Shaia’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts as I turned toward her.

”Done daydreaming?”

”Sorry about that. So, where were we?”

”I was explaining about the system and its limitations.”

”Right. So, now, I can have full access to the system’s full features?”

”You should.”

”What’s it like?”

”I have no idea. I just created it, but until it syncs fully with you? I’ll have no idea.”

”Well then, in that case...”

”System...”

[DING!!]

A dark-golden panel opened up before my eyes,

[Synchronization in progress... 1%.. 2%... 3%]

I gave the notification a once-over before turning my attention back toward Shaia.

”Alright then, while that’s going on, explain it to me a bit more. You mean to tell me that the evolution of regeneration to chaotic healing, then chaotic denial, wasn’t random?” I asked.

”No. It was all just your origin slowly recovering itself as little as it could.”

”And where does the title Son of Chaos tie into all this? Because I recall clearly that it was that title that caused the talent’s evolution.”

”It’s exactly as I said. It was just your origin trying to recover itself little by little; your title was merely the conduit through which the process was carried out.”

Her words made sense. If only a little.

”Then if that’s the case, what about my Abyssal Firmament Dominion? This was also affected by my title.”

”It’s all the same. You’re as much Denying Chaos as you are Devouring Chaos, and since all shall be returned to you eventually, then let’s start with the very firmament itself.”

”That’s a very arrogant declaration.”

”You’re a very arrogant man, my love.”

I wanted to disagree, but I couldn’t even begin to do so.

”Haa... so, what happened to that other guy?” I grumbled.

”Which other guy?”

”Don’t act clueless, Shaia. You know damn well who I’m talking about.”

”Tehehehe... my, my, are you perhaps getting jealous of yourself right now?”

”It’s hard not to, considering you’ve been there with that guy for who knows how long.”

”That was you! Like, quite literally. Not a clone. Not a consciousness. That was you in your entirety, so how can you even be jealous right now?”

”Humph. So long as it’s not me, then it’s not me.” I huffed.

”Fine. Suit yourself; he’s gone now anyway.” She shrugged, snuggling herself deeper.

”Gone?”

”Can’t you recall all the conversations with yourself?” Her words brought back recent memories of my encounter with the Son of Chaos.

Indeed. Its words always revolved around me getting stronger, breaking the seal, and becoming whole, but...

”Wasn’t I already whole when my two souls fused back together?”

”Not completely.”

”How?”

”You had merely received your second half, but you hadn’t truly fused with it yet. It was meant to be a very slow process. Kyle was basically the sealed portion of a large part of your abilities.”

”So you’re saying...”

”Yes. The you that you’d been encountering, in essence, could be called Kyle Donnoghan instead, since he was the manifestation of your sealed powers. Both those of your chaos origin and outer-source origin.”

”So all this while, it was still Dante in control and not some freaky transmigrator, huh?”

”It’s always been you, my love.”

”Hmm... so what now? How does this work? Which consciousness am I now? Dante? Kyle? A fusion of the two? After becoming one, there should be some differences, no?”

”I don’t know, you tell me. Do you feel anything different?”

”No, not really.”

”Exactly. Like I’ve been telling you, there’s only ever been one Dante. And that’ll be you. The Son of Chaos you’ve been encountering the last few times was nothing but the manifestation of your powers, and that was because you were close to removing your last seals.”

”I see...” I raised my hands, clenching them a few times, ”so when I passed out after the battle...”

”Your true awakening completed itself. Now you’re fully you. You don’t need to worry about meeting someone that can compare to you in arrogance.”

”Damn it, Shaia. I wasn’t worried about that.”

”Sure, my love;, sure you weren’t.” She laughed.

My mouth opened as I got ready to retort, but then, I heard it:

[DING!!!]

A crisp and loud singing sound stopped me cold.

[Synchronization completed.]

[Chaos Devourer System fully online...]

”Oh? Would you look at that...” I rubbed my palms together in excitement as I waited, and then,
