Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 128: Chapter 112: The Birth of the Saint Master

CRACK~

In the laboratory, under the gazes of one person, one flesh-lump, one mouse, and one claw, Isaac gently crushed the Crystal Stone in his hand. A wisp of white mist drifted out and, guided by Isaac, slowly seeped into the Dragon Lizard’s body.

ROAR!!!

The moment the white mist entered the Dragon Lizard’s body, the creature, which had been quietly gnawing on a strip of meat in its cage, suddenly let out an agonized roar. At the same time, the sound of tearing flesh rang out!

RRRIP!

Isaac raised an eyebrow, leading everyone to take a slow step back. He watched with great interest as the Dragon Lizard underwent a drastic transformation. The diluted Dragon Blood in its veins... was boiling!

The Dragon Lizard’s flesh tore and healed in a continuous cycle. During this process, its body grew steadily larger. Its hind legs became thicker and more powerful, while its forelimbs, though also transforming, didn’t grow thicker, but rather more... slender. Its face also flattened, becoming a bit like... a human’s?

Isaac watched the Dragon Lizard’s ongoing transformation with great interest. He recognized this thing.

A Dragon-man—a type of Dragon Blood Demon. Among Dragon Blood Demons, their bloodline purity is considered quite high. They are Tier One as juveniles, Tier Two as adults, and have a very high chance of becoming Tier Three High-level Demons in their prime!

However, as strong as Dragon-men were, their appearance was not a good sign for a Dragon Blood experiment.

This was because no matter how much the Giant Dragon Bloodline within a Dragon-man was purified, it could never evolve into a Giant Dragon, only one of its Followers!

In other words, their upper limit was locked.

There were many other Dragon Blood Demons like the Dragon-men, and this was one of the reasons why the Dragon Blood Purification experiments had never gone smoothly.

You get halfway through the experiment only to suddenly realize you’ve gone down the wrong path...

How to control the direction of Dragon Blood Purification was a pressing issue, but Isaac’s own research project hadn’t delved too deeply into this area. It had only been mentioned in passing, so his impression of it wasn’t strong.

As such, he was still quite surprised that the Dragon Lizard had evolved into a Dragon-man.

Of course, it was only surprise. Isaac couldn’t care less whether it became a Giant Dragon. His expectations for Number One far surpassed some so-called Giant Dragon. If his experiment succeeded, then in the face of his creation, a ”Giant Dragon” would be nothing more than a slightly famous monkey.

However...

’Maybe I can try using the White Whale’s power to break the iron-clad rule of the Giant Dragon Bloodline?’ Isaac stroked his chin thoughtfully, watching the Dragon-man slowly rise to a standing position.

The more he thought about it, the more plausible the idea seemed!

’If I report this, I might even be able to score some free resources!’

But after a moment’s thought, Isaac abandoned the idea. As exciting as scamming the Sect sounded, it would interfere with his own experiment.

The seed granted by the White Whale had a ceiling of Tier Four, whereas a Pure-blooded Giant Dragon was only Tier Three. If the Dragon-man reached Tier Three purely through consumption, the risk of it losing control would be too high. It might be too late to conduct his own experiment by then.

The paltry Giant Dragon Bloodline wasn’t worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as the White Whale.

Before long, the Dragon-man’s transformation was complete. Standing upright, it was a full three meters tall!

Its arms were thicker than Isaac’s thighs, and its thighs were more than twice as thick as its arms. It was abnormally burly and strong. ’But... why is this giving me such a strong sense of déjà vu?’

Isaac stroked his chin, lost in thought. A moment later, his eyes lit up!

He remembered!

A Dragon-man, powerful, with earthy-yellow scales...

’Isn’t this freaking Saint Master!’

”Alright! I’ve decided! From now on, your name is Saint Master!” Isaac declared excitedly, clapping his hands.

’It wasn’t just the name, either. He even planned to train its abilities in the direction of Saint Master. The twelve talismans... would correspond to twelve unlucky bastards!’

’That should line up, right?’

Isaac wasn’t entirely sure, but he already had the rough outline of a plan!

Smith and Harmon shot Isaac a surprised look. They didn’t understand why he was so excited just from picking a name. Shushu hadn’t received this kind of treatment before—no, it wasn’t a matter of ”hadn’t received”; it simply never happened!

To this day, Isaac still called it Shushu, refusing to even address it as Rui Cheng!

”Thank you, Master.” As Smith and Harmon watched in astonishment, Saint Master abruptly dropped to its knees and spoke its gratitude. The scene completely stunned Shushu, who had been nibbling cheese on Isaac’s shoulder.

’Hey, buddy, we were both just modified. How can you talk?’

’We’re both Servant Demons. It’s one thing to be this huge, but you have to be this smart, too? Is it really necessary to be such an overachiever?’

Shushu glanced at Saint Master, then at the beaming Isaac, and for some reason, the cheese in its mouth suddenly lost its flavor.

’It’s over. I, Shushu, have lost his favor!’

Shushu nibbled on the cheese in its paws with a crestfallen expression. For the first time, it began to wonder how it could become stronger.

Isaac, however, didn’t notice the change in Shushu. He circled Saint Master twice, extremely satisfied. ’Just like Liu Li, a practitioner of both physical combat and Magic. And it can speak right after its transformation, which means its bloodline memories have awakened. I won’t have to teach it Magic or Combat Techniques from scratch.’

”Very good. Stand up. Go with Liu Li and help manage the Beast Garden. Just give her a hand and let me collect data when I need to. There won’t be anything else for you to do most of the time.”

”Yes, Master.”

”Hm. Since you’re a Dragon-man... right, let’s go. We’ll test your strength first. I want to see what you’re generally capable of.”

”Yes, Master,” Saint Master said respectfully as it rose.

It couldn’t help but be respectful. For one, the highly effective Servant Demon contract on its body already established their master-servant relationship. For another, the memories from its bloodline gave it a profound understanding of the terror and power of a Mad Witch, filling it with reverence from the depths of its being!

Before long, the group arrived at a tattered training ground.

”Tsk, tsk. We’ll have to clean this place up when there’s time. It’s an eyesore.” Isaac shook his head as he surveyed the rundown training ground.

”Of course, Young Master,” Smith said with a slight bow from behind Isaac.

”Liu Li, you fight Saint Master. Test its strength,” Isaac said after a moment of thought.

Saint Master was also only Tier One, and because it had just transformed, it wasn’t fully grown yet. Its Level was only Tier One Middle Position, which was slightly lower than Smith, who was approaching Knight Peak. However, it had a bloodline bonus, so its actual strength was no less than that of an average Tier One Upper Position creature. It could even trade a few blows with a Tier Two.

Therefore, of the people present, only Liu Li was a suitable opponent. With anyone else, it would be difficult to control their power.

Liu Li and Saint Master both nodded and walked to the center of the ruined training ground, facing each other from a distance.

Saint Master spat a gout of fire onto its hands, then pulled them apart, instantly forming a greatsword made of flame!

The signature Magic of a Dragon-man—the Dragon Flame Sword!

”Lady Liu Li, please forgive me!”

With those words, the Dragon-man dug in its feet and charged ferociously at Liu Li!

Facing the ferocious charge of the Dragon-man, Liu Li remained expressionless. Her right hand reached under her skirt and instantly drew a greatblade over a meter long, moving to intercept it!
