Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 118: Chapter 103: These Outsider Gangs Are So Lawless!

’This meant he could continue to fleece... no, I mean, continue trading with the Lord of R’lyeh!’

But not right now.

’Trading with the same Evil God multiple times in a short period wasn’t a good idea. It would greatly increase the risk of a backlash. Especially since my method is to just directly take things—I’d be recognized immediately. How could I happily go on picking things up then?’

’Besides, I’m only a month or two away from advancing to Grand Wizard. I can just as well put off the trade until after my promotion. I’d be able to pick up even more then!’

With that, Isaac unsealed the Ruby on his chest and infused the Dream Origin into it.

Although the Lord of R’lyeh’s interference meant Isaac had obtained less Dream Origin than expected, it wasn’t enough to construct a small Dream Dimension. It was just a little less than what was needed for a Dimension Seed.

But it was the Power of Origin from the Dream Dimension, after all. While it couldn’t form a new Dimension Seed, it was still excellent for nourishing an existing Dimension.

Sure enough, as the Dream Origin was infused, Isaac’s once-unstable Flesh Dimension rapidly stabilized. Not only that, it began to expand at a swift pace!

Isaac watched, completely satisfied.

’Sure enough, if you want to get rich these days, you have to steal!’

’Devouring the Power of Origin from other Dimensions is the single most efficient way for a Dimension to grow. Bar none!’

Although the amount of Dream Origin he’d acquired this time was slightly less than the Dimensional Origin he’d gotten from the Master of Billions of Flesh, the process of going from zero to one had always been the hardest part. Once that most difficult step was overcome, the path forward became much easier.

Thus, once the Flesh Dimension had completely absorbed the Dream Origin, it underwent an earth-shattering transformation, expanding to over one thousand cubic meters!

Its volume had increased tenfold!

The improvement this brought Isaac was immense. First and most importantly was his Infinite Magic Power. Although it was still limited to once a day, its duration had increased to five minutes. Furthermore, as long as he only activated it once a week, it would no longer affect his Dimension’s stability. It could now be used as a regular ability.

Second was the production of flesh. It could now generate one hundred kilograms of Tier One or ten kilograms of Tier Two Demonized Flesh Essence per day. Alternatively, it could waive the Magic Consumables for three Flesh Magic spells.

Its practicality had increased significantly.

Furthermore, by devouring the Dream Origin, a third Extraordinary Ability was born—Creation Dimensional Companion: Nightmare!

Nightmares were creatures that lived in the Dream Dimension. They could travel freely through dreams and fed on nightmares. Their favorite and most skillful pastime was to spread nightmares, only to then devour them personally!

A creature whose nightmares were devoured would be unable to face the sunlight, or its soul would instantly dissipate!

They were a truly terrifying type of creature!

Isaac was quite interested in a creature like the Nightmare that could travel between dreams and reality. He was even more interested in the fact that it would be a Follower with maximum loyalty.

Unfortunately, creating a Nightmare required consuming Dimensional Origin, and he couldn’t afford that right now...

’Another ability I can only look at...’

’But that’s fine. The ability to create a Follower isn’t that powerful anyway, far less crucial than Infinite Magic Power. If I can’t use it, I can’t use it.’

Beyond that, there were a few other minor functions. The Dimension could finally be used as a personal pocket space, but it required sacrificing one daily use of Infinite Magic Power, and the opening time was very short.

This was because different Dimensions repelled each other. If he tried to forcefully open his, it would be a case of the big fish eating the small fish; his Flesh Dimension would sooner or later be completely devoured!

Therefore, using one charge of Infinite Magic Power to open the Dimension was absolutely worth it. After all, this use of Infinite Magic Power wouldn’t trigger the major once-a-week cooldown. And as a researcher, it wasn’t like he faced combat every day.

Even though he could only open it for a short time, he could finally begin its preliminary development. He could start truly cultivating it!

At that point, the Flesh Dimension’s growth rate would surely reach a new level. Sooner or later, his Flesh Dimension would become like the Sects’ Dimensions—able to be opened at will and allowing him to modify it without restraint!

It would provide him with an incredibly solid home base!

All in all, this haul was massive!

After checking the rewards from his Dimension World, Isaac satisfyingly resealed the Ruby, tucked it into his clothes, and stepped forward. He took the Magic Book floating in the air, while a Demon Claw emerged from the nape of his neck to clean up the ritual’s remnants.

—*Secret Technique Manual*

This was what the Lord of R’lyeh had given Isaac: the Knowledge to steal Magic Power from a Dimension.

What Isaac had actually wanted was the power to *extract*—a way to better develop his own Dimension. He wanted a way to get more Magic Power without using Infinite Magic Power, which would also reduce the burden on his Dimension World.

However, the Lord of R’lyeh clearly had Its own ideas. It had quietly substituted the concept, changing ”extracting” Magic Power to ”stealing” Magic Power. The difference between the two was enormous...

This was one of the reasons Isaac didn’t place much value on deals with Outer Gods. The initiative in the transaction always lay with the other party. Constrained by the special power generated by the Legend ritual, the most They were prevented from doing was directly taking a Legendary Mage’s life. But when it came to what They gave, They actually had a lot of room to maneuver.

For most Wizards, however, the level Outer Gods existed on was simply too high. Any bit of power casually tossed out by such an Existence would be treated as an invaluable treasure.

But Isaac wasn’t satisfied with that. He had seen a vaster world—in that world of the Void, tons of Forbidden Knowledge, innate abilities, Authorities, and even Dimension Seeds were scattered everywhere, completely unwanted!

In that world, he was like a hardworking old man, picking up whatever he pleased!

And no one would have any objections!

’Still, it’s not like this *Secret Technique Manual* is useless,’ Isaac thought. ’If I just steal from myself, isn’t that the same thing?’

But Isaac soon understood. The Lord of R’lyeh was truly an ancient Evil God who had lived for countless years; It had already considered the possibility that Isaac might possess a Dimension when It gave him the *Secret Technique Manual*.

After all, what he had snatched from the Void was the power of the Dream Dimension. It wasn’t a difficult deduction to make.

So, the *Secret Technique Manual* did indeed record the Knowledge for stealing Dimensional Magic Power. But this Knowledge was composed entirely of individual Secret Skills, each with a specific target!

So-called Secret Skills were Magic spells cast by borrowing Magic Power from a Dimensional Demon God. The casters themselves possessed no Magic Power. They were similar to Magic Net Mages, but in a much more wretched state.

This was because as you continuously used Secret Skills, your body and soul would be slowly eroded by Dimensional Magic Power, eventually turning you into a Follower of the Dimensional Demon God. This process was irreversible!

While Magic Net Mages also relied on the power of the Magic Net to cast spells, the Magic Net demanded nothing from them in return. The Magic Net gained vast amounts of spellcasting experience, the Wizards who created the Magic Net gained a Faith unique to Wizards, and the Magic Net Mages gained the ability to cast spells. It was a win-win-win situation, completely different from the Secret Skill users of the Dimensional Demon Gods.

’One can only say that these foreign gangs have no sense of decorum!’
