Chapter 3263: Chapter 3264: The Plot of Resurrection

Gutalace looked nervously at Glaipnir.

Although her initial friendship with Kuvanda was meant to deliberately oppose Glaipnir, as their relationship deepened, she and Kuvanda truly became close friends.

Precisely because of this, she was very curious if Kuvanda was also someone who occupied a young body’s return from the Holy Corpse Crystal.

Glaipnir glanced at Gutalace lightly: ”Are you really concerned about that question?”

Gutalace: ”I’m just curious... In my impression, Kuvanda also became famous at a young age, standing out at fifteen or sixteen, which happens to align with the Holy Corpse Crystal ceremony.”

Glaipnir rolled his eyes humorously: ”You’re just seeing what you want to see. Think about it yourself, who makes it to the summit of each clan? Either it’s a young prodigy, someone who has worked diligently for years, or someone who matures late with virtue.”

”Those who meet at the top are probably only these three types. Kuvanda becoming an elder of the Crystal Eye Clan and famous at a young age is quite normal, don’t always think negatively.”

”Besides, even if Kuvanda did return to life, is your friendship with her fake?”

Gutalace shook her head: ”Not really...”

Glaipnir: ”So why do you care about these things? In the environment of the Crystal Eye Clan, you don’t need to pursue absolute justice in your friends. As long as you know she’s your friend and she sincerely cares for you, that’s enough.”

After some advice to Gutalace, Glaipnir circled back and answered Gutalace’s initial inquiry.

”If you really want to know whether Kuvanda is a returner, you can directly ask. In my divination, there is not the slightest gap between her body and soul.”

No gap between body and soul means a hundred percent compatibility.

Most likely, Kuvanda is not a returner.

But this can’t be considered an absolute answer, as divination is merely a reference and The Real World is often more complex than divination.

After Glaipnir finished speaking to Gutalace, Angel, who had remained silent, suddenly spoke: ”Speaking of which, the story ’The Eternal Old Friend’ exposes the dark side of the Crystal Eye Clan and reveals the truth behind the young tragedy. Although the reason for Hiluda’s disappearance is still unknown, Lita’s crisis should stem from this, right? He resonated with a Holy Corpse Crystal?”

Glaipnir lightly nodded: ”Yes, and the resonance target is quite unusual.”

Quite unusual resonance target? Angel suddenly thought of a possibility: ”Could it be that person?!”

Glaipnir did not reply, but slowly began to speak, recounting how she found the last piece of the puzzle—’The Plot of Resurrection’—in Hiluda’s study.

”The previous pieces of the puzzle have gradually revealed the truth. And the last piece, named ’The Plot of Resurrection’, I believe even if I don’t say, you should guess who the subject of ’The Plot of Resurrection’ is.”

Glaipnir looked at everyone.

Though no one spoke, from their eyes, Glaipnir read the same answer.

”Yes, the one who wishes to resurrect is Tunyta.”

The first puzzle piece, ’Tunyta’s Discontent’, had already highlighted Tunyta’s resentment, his unwillingness to die, his desire to see the higher landscapes.

However, as his life limit approached, he could only embrace long sleep with regret.

But Tunyta did not go into death unprepared; as a peerless genius, in his later years, he weaved an enormous lie for all beings with his inner discontent, making final plans for his resurrection.

And this plan was... the ceremony of Crystal City.

He laid every step carefully. First, painting a grand picture by building Crystal City to solve the people’s livelihood issues, gaining the support of the Crystal Eye Clan members; then he initiated a new burial ceremony for the Holy Corpse Crystal. Although it was not initially agreed upon, after years of negotiation with the Elders Council, he wound a seemingly irresistible... Beautiful Dream of a star-studded era around the Crystal Eye Clan.

The Elders Council thus folded.

Even after Tunyta’s death, his lies exposed, his plans never ceased.

The ceremony he left behind hit everyone’s soft spot—friendships, familial bonds, love.

Because of this, despite the Elders Council reaching consensus to seal off Crystal City’s ceremony, it fell apart in the end, starting with the Great Elder.

Anything from the bottom up is difficult; from top to bottom, however, very simple.

When the Great Elder set the ”example,” others with weaknesses followed.

Until Crystal City’s ceremony was unsealed, this cruel ceremony was written into the formal statutes for usage, and the ritual had been carved into the Crystal Eye Clan members’ bloodline... Tunyta’s Plot of Resurrection was considered successful.

Or rather, successfully moved ninety-nine steps forward, just short of the final step for Tunyta to completely resurrect.

And this final step was a youth who could resonate with his Holy Corpse Crystal.

Upon saying this, Glaipnir suddenly paused, looking at Angel: ”You were wondering earlier why Hiluda left these puzzle pieces and why she disappeared, weren’t you?”

”Now I can answer you, because Hiluda received a message she couldn’t accept.”

”Deep within the forbidden area of Crystal City, the Holy Corpse Crystal of the Prophet Tunyta experienced resonance three years ago.” Glaipnir’s eyebrows drooped and his tone became somber: ”And the one who resonated with it was... Lita.”

Angel: ”...”

Angel initially thought the Holy Corpse Crystal that resonated with Lita was the friend of Elder Kasata, but now it seems his guess was wrong.

The one that resonated with Lita... turned out to be the most remarkable prophet in the Crystal Eye Clan’s history, Tunyta.

Angel suddenly felt a headache: ”If it were someone else, there might still be a way to save him. But now that Lita resonates with Tunyta, how are you going to save him?”

Crystal Eye Clan members might disregard a nameless elder’s friend, but they would never disregard the Prophet Tunyta.

If Lita resonated with Kasata’s friend, it would be manageable; but resonating with Tunyta, it’s practically a Hell-start with no easy saving.

Glaipnir: ”Indeed, it’s very difficult. When this matter was transmitted to Lita’s family, they were all stunned. After days of struggle, they knew they couldn’t resist the entire will of the Crystal Eye Clan members and ultimately compromised.”

”That’s also why when we first encountered Lita, he lamented that his mother hid a new child from him. Because she too was helpless, she had completely given up...”

Angel: ”This is a tragic outrage to human ethics.”

Angel couldn’t imagine a mother giving up on her child, but he also couldn’t imagine how a mother could go against an entire civilization and race.

Especially since they lived in Crystal City under the Giant City Spirit’s surveillance.

Glaipnir: ”Though Lita’s mother gave up, fortunately, there’s still someone who hasn’t given up.”

At this moment, Angel already knows who Gleipnir was talking about: ”...Hiluda.”

Gleipnir nodded: ”That’s right, Hiluda.”

Perhaps due to the bond across generations, Hiluda has loved her Lita dearly since childhood. Every time Gleipnir came to Hiluda to reminisce, Hiluda always proudly shared stories about little Lita.

For this reason, when Gleipnir previously discovered the doubts and crises surrounding Lita, she immediately chose to offer protection. Because she was well aware of her friend Hiluda’s love for Lita.

When Hiluda learned that Lita had resonated with Tunyta’s Holy Corpse Crystal, she didn’t show much emotion on her face, but that was only to mislead the Elders Council and the Giant City Spirit’s surveillance.

Hiluda was not planning to give up on Lita; she had even prepared to do everything possible to save Lita.

Even if it meant sacrificing her own life.

Hiluda did not reveal this matter to anyone, including her bloodline descendants, that is, Lita’s mother.

Only the loyal servant Fata, who lived alongside Hiluda, gleaned her thoughts from daily clues. Fata naturally sided with Hiluda and, even if she guessed the truth, did not tell anyone.

So how was Hiluda planning to save Lita?

The first idea that came to her was to take Lita away from Crystal City.

But Hiluda tried to take Lita away, and... it was useless. The Giant City Spirit had long marked Lita, and although the Giant City Spirit didn’t constantly monitor Lita, the moment Lita moved out of its surveillance range, the Giant City Spirit would immediately turn its gaze back.

Hiluda dared not expose herself to the Giant City Spirit’s attention; she could only think of other ways.

However, no matter how she thought, it was difficult to find a way for Lita to escape unharmed... because Tunyta Prophet’s resurrection was both the will of the people and an inevitable trend.

When considering methods, she must take into account the trend and the people’s will.

Hiluda was not afraid of defying, but what she feared was that even defying the trend and people’s will would not bring redemption.

Eventually, the only approach Hiluda could think of was... completely overthrowing the ceremony.

Only if the ceremony disappeared fundamentally would Tunyta’s attempt to be reborn using someone else cease to be possible.

Hiluda knew this would be difficult, but for Lita, she was willing to do it anyway.

Because at that time, Lita was only eleven years old and did not meet the conditions of the ceremony, so Hiluda still had time. Though the time given to her was not long, only three years...

She must, in these three years, find out all information related to the ceremony and then find a way to disrupt it at its source.

Hiluda did indeed uncover a lot of information.

The puzzle pieces she left behind were the intelligence she gathered over the years.

But the deeper Hiluda delved, the more she realized disrupting the ceremony was extremely challenging... unless Crystal City itself was destroyed, the ceremony would inevitably resurrect.

But Crystal City, could it be destroyed by her alone?

Even manipulating public opinion, manipulating rhetoric, using calculated methods to destroy Crystal City, would require a lot of time to plan, and perhaps it couldn’t be achieved even in one or two generations.

Hiluda didn’t have that much time to plan.

In her despair, Hiluda received news from Narudo: A mirror space that reflects unknown realms appeared in the Gloomy Mirror Domain, containing a wealth of content related to ritual studies. Over two thousand years ago, adventurers had obtained ritual studies skin scrolls from that mirror space, and it is said that Tunyta Prophet purchased the ritual studies skin scrolls from those adventurers.

While Hiluda didn’t know the truth of this news, if it were true, then very likely Tunyta’s Crystal City ceremony originated from that mysterious mirror space.

So, perhaps that mirror space also contained a method to gain inheritance without ”possession.”

Just like when Tunyta was alive before, he could allow a young man to receive the inheritance unaffected.

Hiluda didn’t know whether such a method existed, but she had no other choice.

Even if the Ghost Phantom was dangerous, even knowing the light was dim, Hiluda still left Crystal City to search for that one hope in the Ghost Phantom.

Before leaving, Hiluda left these puzzle pieces in her study, which were originally left for Gleipnir. It was both to inform her friend of her whereabouts and to seek help from Gleipnir.

If she didn’t return, if Gleipnir saw these puzzle pieces, she hoped Gleipnir would take care of Lita on her behalf.

Even though Hiluda thought this was a bit excessive, it was her only choice in her desperate situation.

...

After listening to Gleipnir’s narrative, everyone sighed.

No one expected Hiluda to risk her life for Lita.

After a moment of silence, Gutalace was the first to speak: ”Is the information she received real? I mean, the news about the Ghost Phantom... after all, this news was transmitted by Narudo, and I feel it’s a bit odd.”

Angel actually wanted to ask this question too.

Because Angel had heard the name Narudo before.

It is the top-tier force of the Changhuo Clan.

Changhuo Clan, most skilled in inciting. They instinctively love to sow discord, provoke opposition, and divide clans.

Can the words of this clan really be trusted?

Gleipnir was silent for a moment and said, ”Narudo might be mischievous, but to my knowledge, Hiluda had a pretty good relationship with her. In this matter, it’s unlikely she’d deceive Hiluda.”

Luigi: ”Actually, whether Narudo’s words are true or not doesn’t matter much now. Whether Hiluda is dead or alive, she hasn’t returned yet, and that’s the fact.”

Luigi spoke with an uncharacteristically serious expression, turning to Gleipnir: ”The question now is for you, how are you planning to help Lita?”

Gleipnir was silent, wanting to take Lita away, but she wasn’t sure she could take Lita with the Giant City Spirit watching.

As the air grew increasingly tense, Angel suddenly spoke up: ”I actually have a question.”

”What is the essence of the Crystal Eye Clan’s rebirth through borrowing bodies?”
