Warlock Apprentice

Chapter 1090: Section 1091: Summon

And what surprised Sinafa was that the other party used a respectful address.

“Lady Sinafa.”

The voice was steady and gentle. Sinafa hesitated for a moment, feeling that the voice sounded very familiar, as if it was… a figure flashed through Sinafa’s mind.

“No, that’s not possible.” Sinafa shook her head. That guy had left with Sanders in the Twilight Mountains, hadn’t he? How could he appear here? She must have heard wrongly.

Perhaps it was because her spiritual power had been damaged, causing her ability to capture external information to plummet, which led to her mishearing the transmission of voices.

“Are you the shop owner the succubus mentioned?” Sinafa pondered. She did not know the location of the other person, but since they could hear her, she wanted to sense that they were beside her.

There was silence on the other side, so long that Sinafa started to think she had experienced an auditory hallucination when she finally heard the transmission again.

The voice that had been so steady before suddenly became evasive, with an air of trying to hide something.

“How could that be, hehe, Lady Sinafa must have heard wrong,” followed by a string of dry laughter.

Sinafa did not dwell on the emotions behind the words but was again struck by the “respectful address.” She had thought she had misheard when called “Lady” before, but being addressed that way again, there was no way she could mistake it this time.

Could it be that her previous guess was true?

“Are you… Angel?” Sinafa muttered in suspicion.

The transmission came back without hesitation, and resolute, “Yes.”

“Is it really you?” Uncertainty flickered in Sinafa’s eyes. She still found it hard to believe and quickly asked, “Didn’t you leave with the Illusion Demon in the Twilight Mountains? Why are you here? Was it you who made the succubus spill the beans? Where are you?”

A series of questions bombarded Angel’s ears.

Angel was about to reply when his spirit tentacle suddenly twitched, and he saw a dark shadow emerging outside the rolling sea of fire behind Sinafa.

The shadow walked out of the Hunting Museum, heading straight for Sinafa’s location.

“Lady Sinafa, we’ll answer these questions next time. There’s a demon heading your way right now. You must leave this place immediately,” Angel said. He then added, “By the way, is my mentor on the floating ice in the sky?”

The urgency in Angel’s voice made Sinafa turn her head, and indeed, she saw a shadow moving toward her through the sea of fire.

Its speed was slow, but its oppressive force was strong.

If she had not been injured, Sinafa might have taken the fight. But now, it wasn’t even worth considering.

“If you are talking about the Illusion Demon, he is indeed on the floating ice. You…” Sinafa hurriedly finished her sentence and stood up to prepare for her escape. At the same time, she also planned to inquire for some information from the suspected “Angel” on the other side.

But just as she opened her mouth, Angel’s voice came through again.

“Lady Sinafa, you need to run. The one coming is a demon from Aoluxiya’s side!” Angel had recognized that dark shadow, draped in a fiery red robe, as the Fire Servant Demon.

“You know Aoluxiya?” Sinafa fought against her discomfort, moving continuously on her feet.

Watching the Fire Servant Demon getting closer to Sinafa, Angel quickly said, “I have seen it. I know what you want to ask. But my story is a long one, and I will tell it when there is a chance…”

Doubt intensified on Sinafa’s face. From his tone, it really seemed like Angel? How could he have seen Aoluxiya?

However, as he said, with the enemy at hand, Sinafa did not have the time to wonder; she must escape first.

Just as Sinafa was about to leave, a new transmission faintly entered her ears once again.

“Do not go to the Hunting Museum… The Hunting Museum’s… are about to Ascend the Throne…”

Sinafa didn’t have time to delve into what Angel had said explicitly, and instead fled the area at top speed.

As she ran, she glanced back and saw that the demon, referred to by Angel as one of Aoluxiya’s, seemed to hesitate and did not pursue her.

The Fire Servant Demon stood at the site of Sinafa’s previous showdown with Nya for a long time, the eyes beneath the hood contemplating something.

After a while, the Fire Servant Demon looked in the direction of the Misty Cabin.

Angel had already retracted his spirit tentacle, but he could distinctly feel that the Fire Servant Demon’s searching gaze was likely directed at himself.

The site of the earlier battle was not far from the Hunting Museum, and Angel had witnessed the conflict, so it was probable that the Fire Servant Demon inside had seen it too. The words Nya had spoken at the end had probably reached the Fire Servant Demon’s ears as well.

Perhaps, both Nya and the Fire Servant Demon had become suspicious of his identity.

Angel sighed. If his identity was exposed, so be it. He had already acquired the materials he needed and even managed to obtain many rare materials not found in the Wizards’ Realm, which made it worth it.

The Fire Servant Demon stared at the Misty Cabin for a short while, but with the Domain of Wind concealing it, it was unable to see the specifics.

In the end, the Fire Servant Demon glanced in the direction Sinafa had fled and turned back to return to the Hunting Museum.

No matter what happens in the outside world, the throne of the lord is about to take shape, and now is the most important moment for Lord Aoluxiya; it’s crucial to stay by Aoluxiya’s side.

Other doubts can wait until later.

The Fire Demon left, and Angel breathed a sigh of relief. At least for now, it seemed that Sinafa had escaped, and he had also received confirmation from her that Sanders was on the floating ice in the sky.

The only pity was that he hadn’t managed to have Sinafa pass a message to Sanders.

…

Elsewhere, Sinafa was currently concealed outside a building in ruins.

The building appeared to have been recently smashed by flowing fire, with a huge pit in its center where lava flowed, likely the crater created by the meteoric fire.

Sinafa made sure there were no signs of life nearby before she comfortably lay behind some slightly hot stones.

Curled up on the ground, enduring the pain in her body for a long time, Sinafa felt the tide of suffering recede slightly, then took out a potion from her space and drank it, waiting for her injuries to heal.

The process was painful and long, but Sinafa persevered.

As her breathing slowly steadied, Sinafa finally freed up her mind, recalling the message from the one who claimed to be Angel.

In fact, whether the other party was truly Angel or not, Sinafa wasn’t interested in considering right now; after all, just by finding Sanders, she could basically confirm it.

What she was contemplating now was the message Angel conveyed.

Firstly, he seemed to be the source behind the Pannas Charm Demon sparing her. Even if the “shop owner” wasn’t him, Angel’s influence was definitely involved.

Secondly, the information he had appeared to be more extensive than that of the Frostmoon people. Moreover, he admitted having seen Aoluxiya.

Lastly, the message he sent at the end had too much information…

“Hunting Museum?” Sinafa’s eyes darkened; during her struggle with the Pannas Charm Demon, she had glanced more than once at the target building, vaguely seeing its name, which seemed to be the Hunting Museum.

And the message from Angel stated: It appears there’s someone in the Hunting Museum who is about to Ascend the Throne?!

Sinafa choked on her saliva; if this statement was true, it could be described as earth-shattering! As for the throne, how could Sinafa not understand its significance—it referred to an Abyssal Demon Lord!

And the wizarding rank corresponding to a Demon Lord is… Legend!

Is there a demon in Lassudral about to Ascend the Throne?!

The very thought of this possibility made Sinafa restless. She quickly retrieved a piece of thin ice-like communicator from her space, wanting to contact Lord Monty.

However, outside in the floating ice, wizards and demons were engaged in a fierce battle, and chaotic energy blocked stable channels of communication.

Sinafa thought for a moment and constructed a Long Range Whispering Spell in her Mind Space.

Although the Long Range Whispering Spell was a very low-level trick and its maximum transmitting distance was merely around a thousand meters, once used in combination with a communicator, it could reinforce the stability of the communication channel and even allow the sound to travel further.

This was the practical application of Spell Techniques, which wizards had been applying to all aspects for tens of thousands of years. Whether in everyday life, research experiments, or in battle, the application of spell techniques was very common.

Sinafa quickly reinforced the new communication channel and finally heard a hoarse male voice.

“Is that you, Lady Sinafa?”

The speaker was Maher, the captain of the Frostmoon Guard Squad and a core member of the Frostmoon Alliance. For such an important task as contacting Sinafa, Monty had entrusted it to him.

“Maher, pass the communicator to Lord Monty; I have an urgent matter to report.”

Above the floating ice, Maher didn’t hesitate for a second, promptly walking towards where Monty was.

Currently, Monty was focused on the battle outside, where a terrifyingly powerful Great Demon had come from the Void Tower and was attacking the floating ice with fury. Almost all of the True Knowledge Wizards had been dispatched to stop it. Despite this, the Great Demon’s terrifying power still shocked everyone.

Monty was even contemplating whether he might have to take action ahead of time if it really came down to it.

“Lord Monty, Lady Sinafa has an urgent matter to report,” Maher said quickly as he reached Monty’s side, handing over the thin ice-like communicator.

Upon hearing it was a transmission from Sinafa, Monty immediately took it.

“Lord Monty, I was obstructed by an Awakened Succubus while scouting the target location; now, a large amount of my energy is depleted. To continue the mission might be beyond my abilities,” Sinafa said after hearing Monty’s voice. “However, I have obtained some important information.”

Not only Monty was listening; other wizards resting in turns on the floating ice also pricked up their ears.

Sinafa’s voice was weak, indicating her current state wasn’t good. Clearly, what she referred to as being intercepted by the Awakened Demon wasn’t just a passing remark. The crises and bloody struggle it implied were evident to all who heard.

Naturally, Monty could sense Sinafa’s helplessness, but he didn’t inquire right away and instead followed Sinafa’s lead, asking, “What information?”

“Before I share this information, I hope Sanders can explain the current situation of his disciple Angel.”
